It is wrong on her part to behave so. She is obsessed with Manav. Where was this obsession in the initial days of her marriage.?why did she act like a dumb doll when her mother asked her to give away the mangalsutra.and walk outr of the D house ? Accroding to me any kind of obsession is bad.

I was shocked to read that she apologises to Manju.WHY SHOULD SHE? What has happened to Archu's back bone all of a sudden. Her acts of self assertion and bravery are just flashes in the pan. Why do the writers want to spoil such a character by writing nonsense and making her speak inanities.

I hav always felt that no body can take the place of the other in a family. A daughter will be a daughter and a d-i-l a d-i-l. At the end of the day what matters is that we all perform our duties well. Of course we need to do all this with love but that doesn't mean a mom- in -law can take a mother's place. ( there are exceptions of course to everything . I have a mausi who used to ill treat my nani and still does.)

We have got to be practical and stop believing that what we see in the movies is possible.

Dont you think the K's neighbours must be sick of attending the K sagais particularly Archu's over and over again?
[B]Excellent commentary Kool. Totally agree with you.

This is a comment [ neighbourswalla] that im gonna use in my commentary with ur permission that im sure u have given ........

Thanks Witloving for understanding the satire

The litmus test for one's character is often said to be how one treats his inferiors and for manav, jaywant has passed that since all we have seen of manav-jay scenes….jay has always treated him well. If Dharmesh's judgement can be accepted so should manav's. .
This is the BEST part for me in ur write up . ULTIMATE analysis at just 20 .U have tremendous potential .
.
The only thing where i differ bonny is that CVs r not intending to show manav as a flawed character AT ALL . They r showing him as the fORUMULA hero , absolutely cORRECT , DUTIFULlike RAM . Had it been the former I wud nEVER be this hard on him .Also they show Archna as the ultimate GOOD heroine .Hence my satire .😊

Today I want to bore you with a scene not directly related to PR but indirectly as a protest to those monotonous scenes which may inadvertently end up depicting our city in as crass and monochrome colour as a PR dominated with its studio created 'Dombivali' is attempting. The scene narration is not my forte so please bear with my juvenile attempt.😳

An Orange evening:

The other day the friends were stealing a chance walk along the spacious Marine Drive promenade. For almost a week, the continuous rains have banished and deprived the denizens of their daily dash of evening walk. The rains have ceased and Marine Drive esplanade has a sudden rush of activity though heavy over cast was clearly indicating the imminent breach of cease-'rain'. The promenade, the parallel broad express drive way, trees, buildings everything was yet wet out of the previous downpour. A kind of dusky grayness pervaded all around.

In that brief truce of the rain before it'd resume its assault, there occurred a magic. By a freak of nature, there passed a pocket of void in the dense, heavily laden, rushing currents of south-west monsoon, carrying billions of liters of much petitioned fresh water to the sub continental hinterlands. For a brief interlude of 10 minutes the sky had suddenly revealed itself. The Orange illuminated the evening.

Even for a place used to the brilliant sunsets, that sudden outburst of crimson twilight was ethereal. The few walkers and joggers or those few who had come there to seat on the recently refurbished continuous waterfront parapet to marvel at the monsoon's magical pull on the tumultuous sea, all these interim inhabitants were gasping in wonder to this sudden change in the Surrounding-from gray to a bright glow of Orange sans any visible sign of the customary fiery orb of setting sun. The environ posed bathed in a strange wet orange- a liquid gold.

The comfily paved promenade was aglow in evening light through out its visible arch of four kilometers- from the distant Chawpaty beach in the north-smeared crimson to that nearby tip of Nariman point in the south where the tall, creamy white towers of hotel Trident Oberoi and Air India mirrored orange. Those precious numbers of Badam trees on the waterfront were also trying to accommodate in this strange interplay of colour with an equally strange and seemingly paradoxical assumption of an orange hue by its broad green leaves. Far in the north the distant tip of Raj Bhavan and the ancient hill of Malabar were shimmering on the bay in a futile attempt to encompass in an almost complete circle. Its numerous sky-scrappers were appearing to cast their curious search into the western horizon for that long absent globe of Sol. Then not so far away in the north jarring outline, of princess Street Fly over was annoyingly hiding the soothing visage of spacious open grounds of three adjacent old time gymkhanas- Parsi, Islam and Hindu.

The breeze itself was donning an orange glow. The colonial era art deco buildings - all standing erect in a majestic symmetry of uniform height-7 floors each- forming a leisurely rich backdrop to a beautiful sea front avenue-that legendry famous, gently curving queen's necklace gracing the stormy bosom of the bay, were all bathed in a happy wash of Orange. Their innumerable French windows were unanimously reflecting Arabian's monsoon whipped surfs coated in a strange colour of flame. As if in a timeless whisper, the waves were warning those modern structures, 'Yo there, which had been carved out from us, beware, we will reclaim you sooner or later.'

And then the east started turning dark and west started turning grey with the fresh minions of the monsoon clouds ready to pounce on city of Bombay, but certainly not before imprinting a scene which is sure to last till the end of memory.

Samarth
I have saved this in my personal file of write ups that I cherish .
I read them from time to time when I hve time .They r not necessary literary famous quotes etc , they r simply things i pick up which appeal to mE .
Remember I told u that u had a flair for writing ? Im sure ur so busy , u have NOT written anything at all . PLEASE DO .
Many many thanks for giving me this nugget . Will cherish it forever . Yesterday was a bad day for me , too much pressure , and ur write up uplifted me and made me smile .😊
Whenever I went to Churchgate and Wud return sometimes by cab instead of train , I wud ask the cab driver to go slowly down Marine dRive , simply so I cud stare out and drink in the scene . Same when I crossed Tad Deo and saw Haji Ali and the sea . Oh samarth ur making me all nostalgic . I can feel and smell the taxi and the sea now. How i MISS mUmbai .

I do not post so much coz I am not much of a writer'neither do I put my thoughts across well and since I am just 20 I do not even have great understanding of complexities of relationships and human nature and but I hold my own opinion and perspectives of these characters.
You are so young but I am very happy to see that you have such a good understanding of these complex characters , their social backgrounds and the complexities of their relationships ...

Taking responsibilities and fulfilling them has become his second nature. Don't you think at 16 he didn't want to go and play cricket or have fun with friends, complete his education'..these all were his heart's desires but he killed them the way he has killed his desire to have archana.
What you are saying here makes a lot of sense . my sister says the same thing that just lok at him..He has always been a trained robot , the person whose aim is to serve the family and when Sachin dies in a horrible accident , this man lost his mental balance and instead of the reasonable and understanding Manav , he became the head strong , angry an stubborn Manav who wanted to save Sachin's baby at any cost ...
He felt that maybe Sachin dies due to circumstances related to him so it i his zimmedari to save his baby ..
He may not be ambitious but he is hardworking and has always tried to fulfill the needs of his loved ones'which are equal in quality to being ambitious.
He was ambitious once , when he was saving up to ave his own garage...
Archu 's exit from his life has made him into a very different person ....
To a lot of extent I agree he has been unfair to both the ladies, he neither did let go of archana from his heart and neither did he allow shravani any space in his heart. What is more unfair is that he voiced it out to both of them'.making neither archana move on nor shravani have mental peace.
Yes , that was a big mistake ...
He just could not let Archu go and also could not ever let her back in his life ..
Also his behaviour with Shravani was always as if he treats her like Sachin's girl...when she looked at him as her husband ...
He kept her at an arms's lenght but still in his house ....
One more thing I would like to mention, manav putting the shart in front of archana was wrong'.he should have tried to convince her to the point that she was herself willing and not forced her. But everything aside, his intention was to allow archana to move forward in life and be happy.
Whatever , he should not have done that .That was terrible ..One day he is telling her , I am going to kill someone or get killed for you ....I ma proud to love you and then after a few weeks only he is telling her ...that's it we were never together and now yo ujust have to marry someone else ..
Emotions are not like a switch button ..That you put the button on and everything is bright ..
Espacially with a girl as emotional and vulnerable as Archu ..He knows that she is totally in love with him ..I am very angry with him for putting this unreasonable pressure on her and usin her love for him to do something so wrong ....
What if that girl kills herself out of frustration and guilt ...
I really believe it is hard to accept manav as a hero hugely because he is flawed'but it is what I personally find endearing because you constantly believe that one day he will fight out his complexities and rise.
I always have wanted to give him a chance . But now I am fed up ....he just doesn't do anything . He is only making things worse with each passing day ....

About Archana'I agree to almost everything that has been mentioned till now. She's got an obsession problem'.first she had obsession to sulo aai, then to savita aai, then to shravani and now she has it for manav. It's a disorder with her.
Very very accurate analysis .Out of all her obsession , this one for manav is by far the biggest one ever .......
She may be going into another relationship through weakness but she has the strength to crossover as she always has done. She infact is much stronger than manav'.if anybody will breakdown first'.it will be manav'.move on in life first'..archana'..resurrect her life back to normalcy'.archana. And if ar-jay marriage ever happens'.she will start relying on jaywant'.
You really think so ...I would be very happy if that happened .I just don't see this happening right now .But , maybe you are right ...

Never had as much an issue with the character Shravani as much with the actress'.i hold acting skills very important'.Pooja P. fails miserably. Lot of analysis done on the character'.
She is a terrible actor, her voice is just unbearable ...
She is the worst actor in the entire PR cast Lacks screen prescenese and makes the worst ever pair with Manav ...He still looks like her big brother ....
Similarly Shravani is everything opposite to archana who epitomes best of virtues. She is also perceived as the biggest obstacle in the love of archana and manav'
I think this and her acting are the main reason why she is so much disliked ....

Great post ...Loved all your analysis ..Espacially on manav ...
Still very angry with him but I see your point of Archu being in love with him despite of his flaws ...
I just want everything to be happy again ..I am getting bored of negativity ....
