@ Samarth: Yes indeed, the sunrise/dawn of gold to come, heralded by the einleitung. Very apt! And then Nietzsche, that touch of exciting iconoclasm; for Savita's god - in spite of her protestations of devotion to G Baps - is really gold. Though, do please explain "Roaches are rapped in rudely rounds"? That one had me baffled.
Your poem nicely touches on the American South theme too, which is apropos ideas running across the real life/fantasy discussion; the novel ends with hope in spite of shattered dreams "After all, tomorrow is another day." We'll make a literateur of you yet. 😊
@ All else: Also wanted to thank everyone else who enlivened this post with their offerings, in particular Fifi for starting it off. The wonderful thing that forums like this do is that they give one a chance to express onself in one's own unique way, from the most experienced and sophisticated thinkers and writers (though experience and intellectual sophistication don't always go together, as TBizzle so deftly showed us) to the youngest and/or most hesitant amongst us. Every poem here told me something about its author, like a small photograph of what's going on in people's heads. Great reading and learning experience.
