she is good in this and I hopeshe continous to do it till the last day in this house . It keeps her busy and that is good . Plus Manav is not her husband , he considers himself Shravani's fiance . he is giving her food , she is living under his roof . He spent money on her medical expenses ,even gave her 100 rupees today , she should not be a muft khoori person. If she cannot return it back with money ( as she is not working ) the least sh can do is work as much as she can in his house , maybe like a maid or cook or what ever .

Being a maid is better than being a muft khoori person ...

Tanya i will only say one thing to this ..........I can't believe I am hearing this .

Btw dear , currently in India , in Mumbai especially , Maid servants will throw a hundred rupee note on the face of their masters if it is given to them as Diwali Baksheesh . A hundred rupee note , in todays costly time does NOT fetch a decent present for any engagement of a middle class category family ...........perhaps a blouse piece . I was zapped to see them giving a hundred rupee note to Archu when thousands are being spent on Shravanis check up and medicenes by manav . Incidentally he has NOT offered her ANY financial support .That hundred rupee note is laughable , and ur being Happy about it ? Please Tanya !

Tanyaz , i always look forward to you comments .very intelligent and informative, however, i must disagree with ur assesment on y archana should be doing the work......how can u even entertain such thoughts that her work is a form of repayment for living there freely, getting free food and money spent on her medical expenses. It is the same slave work that caused her accident. Do not let us go down that road....I could understand the concept that she is keeping herself occupied by doing the housework. But my answer to that would have been....attend ur classes and go back to ur job....archana just get an independent life.

better than being called a muft khor from manav's mother . If she was his wife then ok, but forget 100 rupees. I don't want her to take ahsaan from anyone even of 10 rupees .

i am sure when she is out of this house then she will earn a lot of money and do well . i am sur even Manav does not mean anything like this at all but unfortunately that's how things have turned out for Archana ....

Let her do all the house work , it keeps her busy and she is doing her bit ...

Then she can get on with her life and do lots of other things as well.

There is no shame in doing house work any way , it is as important as any other work , savita is the only one who degrades her , every one else in the house appreciates her for the help that she is .

But of course it would have been better if she had gone back to her work . I would jump with joy the day she decides to go back to her work and her studies .

may God give her enough sense to do so . But if she is not doing this then the next best option , keep yourself occupied with as much house work as possible ...

the only thing I don't want her to do is to interfere in the family affairs ...

Shravani is manav's life partner , it is very evident as he wanted to sit in the pooja with her and not Archana . he does not consider Archana to be his life partner . Why should she expect any money from him.

I am not happy that he gave her 100 rupees, in fact I am disgusted that hedidn't even offer her that , it was bba who did it .

That is why i don't want her to take any ahsaan from him of any money .If he is paying for her food , she will work in the house and do her bit .

Yes he does owe her spousal support after the divorce and the kind of person he is , he would perhaps give it happily , but for now how can Archana show any right on his money .....

OK, he did put sindoor on her also , I wish that hadn't happened ....but it did . But the way things are turning out now ...Archana should not claim any right on anything that belongs to Manav , unless decided by the courts ..

Manav himself is giving each and every right to Shravani over all that is his ....

I have a weird concept of self respect .... would never take money from someone if I don't think that I deserve it . Archana deserved the money if she was his wife , she is not . let the court tell manav what she has to be paid . tha twill definitely be her rightful claim ...nothing more nothing less.

No one is saying here housework is shameful . Thats not the point at all . And Tanyaz she is NOT eating muft there THats RIGHTFULLY hers my dear . This concept has not been explored well in this serial at all ........Women's rights . If they showed a divorce court and how it operates they jolly well shud have showed this too . Damodar says I will give her Kharcha , Savita says Fukat mein rehti ho and Manav like a lump of clay keeps quiet and Archna dumbly listens . The truth is , as per the court order , she can live there rightfully , eat rightfully , as her RIGHT . Those !5 days that she spent there she can demand compensation from Manav for them as she wasted her life by entering an arrangement not suitable for her .. as things didnt work out . Hundred rupees ? Tanya even a maid servants salary is 5 times moire than this in Mumbai nowdays .

Hi all,

My observations on various points that caught my attention:

a) Kool wrote: "his popularity is due to his hot looks rather than a unique diffrent character being played on the small acreen ." This may not have been entirely true in the begiining, but is certainly the case now; anybody who tries to deny this isn't smelling the coffee, I'm afraid. A man behaving as wishy-washily as he is currently, would NOT command a fan following without nice biceps. (Someone was complaining about his paunch; the paunch, I do believe, is not so much in evidence as is the larger than necessary butt. Check it out. Or take my superior eyesight on trust. 😆)

b) Tanya and Addenise (I think) want Archana to go back to work and to school: yes, commendable aims on her behalf, but if she's not home for the whole day how will the creatives show her being a "good" wife and daughter-in-law (i.e. cooking, cleaning, serving "selflessly") and thus "deserving" Manav back? And bursting forth in uncontrollable exhibitions of sorrow so he knows exactly where he stands with her. No, no, work and school and all that good stuff surely, is not for women intent on dedicating their lives to confused and potentially bigamous husbands. The creatives must be a lititle upset, though, about not sending her back to school, (who knows why that decision was taken) because then they'd have been able to show all those journeys back in trains and autos with Manav (also on his way home from work), good for at least some five episodes, where we could have watched her letching hopelessly at him from the corner of her eyes, and him taking recourse to the one body language ploy he remembers from his (Very) Basic Acting Skills class, the universal sign of being Deeply Moved and Rendered Speechless by the Force of Rushing Emotions: swallow manfully that permanent lump in his throat.

c) At the cost of repeating myself: Shravani is not a person any longer, folks. She is a Plot Complication. If you read her that way most of your anger, whichever side you're on, will rapidly dissipate.

d) If you haven't already guessed, as viewing strategies go, I strongly recommend Ironic Distance.

Kool , I never said that I am happy with the 100 rupees . I am disgusted and manav didn't even give that , it was baba who did .

And even after getting 100 rupees she had to get dirty looks from his fiance .

Forget 100 rupees , Manav did not even give Varsha his blessings like baba did . I do not consider him her life partner any more . I am sure he must have wanted to do a lot more . This is the same manav who made an FD for varsha once . But life has changed for him .he has chosen another life partner for himself . he wants to sit in the pooja with her and not Archana ...

he wants to constantly comfort and take care of Shravani and not Archana ...

I don't consider him her husband any more .

Archana does have every right on his money but I want the court to tell Manva, and more important his mother and his fiance , that Archana deserves this much money as this is rightfully hers ....

Till that is decided i just want her to work as much as she can .

How I wish that what Baba had said earlier had been shown , that she gives her rent and her monthly expenses to Manav ....but if not that then just do your bit , do as much as yo ucan ...at least be happy that you are not just sitting on your back side and doing nothing ...
