As I said, there will be three viewpoints:
My personal POV: She shouldn't do it, even though she knows that this drunk Manav is the real Manav she shouldn't do it... coz personally I feel consummation is more of an acceptance thing... wife accepts husband and husband accepts wife... no more walls anymore... united as one for eternity... I have always felt it is more of an emotional thing rather than physical, rightly called 'making love'.
And going by this, Manav accepting her in this inebriated state and not in his senses doesn't have the same meaning. She should not let him do it. Plus there are other reasons. Why this irresponsible behavior, what if she gets pregnant? What will happen to the child? What will she tell the child- why doesn't his/her father live with them. If she has decided that she will live alone with the child, then I can even consider, but personally I hate people who do things without thinking first, so I will be seriously frustrated to see Archu making love with Manav, without thinking of future, without thinking of her self respect as a woman and accepting crumbs, and finally for being a hypocrite.
Archu's point of view: Tanya di rightly pointed it out. The poor dear never had any pleasure in life, plus with Manav pouring out all the feelings of his heart, she would be in an equally emotionally vulnerable state... and so we expecting her to do the right thing would be somewhat hard on her. She would caress and kiss him the moment the first tear drops out of his eye.
Normal person in same situation: This is slightly difficult for me, I guess you understand why... the matter is a bit sensitive and I have absolutely no idea how normal people respond to such situations (which are both sexual and emotional in nature and a matter of self-respect as well) do they let their desires take over (completely natural and repressed till now) or do they think of dignity and all (I even don't know if the brain functions in such situations). Without embarassing myself more I only want to say that i accept defeat on this front.
