Even without the baap label, they didn't bother integrating him into the family.....so it was just supposed to be a disjoint, disparate set of ppl coexisting together briefly....Patiala Babes in a nutshell.....family is a farce. LOL

HS was shown to be such a wise person and then what? He had amnesia, or he swapped his personality out with someone else?

@bold and the main reason is that each of them wanted something different from this marriage. Minnie wanted her mother to have a new husband who kept her happy but no father for herself. Babita wanted a husband but also someone who could be father-figure to Minnie. HS wanted both of them and a happy family.

Seriously it's a farce. Aur pata nahin kya message de rahe hain society ko. No one with kids would ever be inspired to remarry after seeing what happened to these three. Ab to lag raha hai Minnie hi sahi thi, love complicates everything. Aur aaj kal to NB bhi salah nahin detin.

As to why this HS is behaving this way nowadays, it could be one of the following:

1. He gave up because he failed and lost the fight in him even if he still wants to be her father - that's not been clarified by the writing but it's made to look like it.
2. He only cared about Babita and not about Minnie, as per the writers, which I will never believe
3. He had a setback but long-term deep down still wants to be her father but prefers to let it happen organically - this would be in character for him but I doubt the writers want to show that.

I think this is the point I will find hardest to digest out of all the weird things that have happened on this show. I have a mind to ask Aniruddh why HS has become like this.

We thought it was 3, but now it's a likely combination of 1 and 2 as per the writers.......HS designated himself a failure as a father and just gave up altogether.

The fact that he got busy being besotted husband makes it seem that he is content in whatever companionship he gets with Babita......Mini would have been a bonus.....nahin mili, toh bhi chalega....that's how his attitude seems to be now *shrugs*

Might as well reconcile to the fact that this is how it all ends. These superficial, kaam chal gaya type relationships rather than any meaningful connections.

Did Babita really want a father figure for Mini? LOL seeing her obsession with only and only HS these days, it's hard to imagine she actually cared about what level of fatherly love and guidance Mini gets. That a mother can't see how put on the relationship between HS-Mini now is pitiful.

And what randomness were they trying to show today with how Babita is supposedly ostracized for a second marriage? LOL didn't all these mohalla people show up at her actual wedding pretty happily? Tab kisi ko second marriage se problem nahin thi? Kuch bhi.....I found Babita's martyr like tone over how koi mujh se baat nahin karta cuz second marriage kinda lame......waise toh all day her only thoughts are about pati this, pati that.....jab pati hi duniya hai, toh why does it matter if mohalle waalis don't talk to her? Didn't she declare that all she cares about is only drowning in pati? lol

The dialogues are laughably unconvincing.

Message toh ghanta hai......theme bas ek hi hai.....all relationships are transient.

@bold, and it's even more tragic because Minnie and HS feel things on a very deep level, both are very sensitive. For them to just remain like this is so hard to watch and once she leaves home they are bound to grow further apart, considering the writers don't seem to want to address the unresolved issues.

Minnie as a bonus concept seems like an insult to the HS-Minnie bond that we loved and admired for 200 episodes.

I know I have to let go but for such a lovely story to end up like this is just... Frankly, I think they got caught up in trying to taint everything that was done before, but the early episodes were so well done and ingrained in our minds that we cannot accept the new stuff and feel this resentment.

Sorry, dear for repeating myself. I am just really really hurt and disgusted after watching the precap. People like Ashok get away with abuse, meanness, nasty behavior as per our writers, and those who have suffered since childhood have to make compromises in life even when happiness is right in front of them. I know HS is not perfect but he's always tried to become a better person. He deserves much better than to be treated this way by the writers and those in his life.

Well, Babita has been self-absorbed from the beginning so I can still understand her being this way. The photo frame was enough to reassure her. Also, she's afraid this marriage might fail so she is doing whatever she can to hold on to it. Saroj's whispers in her ears aren't helping.

Also, I can't believe they put in effort to create the promo for the surname thing but finished the topic off in 1-2 episodes. Methinks it was done before the decision to end HS and Babita's characters.

@bold, not only that, dil ka rishta is a non-existent phenomenon, and people who love each other and want to help each other out, eventually become strangers even after finding each other after so much hardship. Ugh...

This is how you hold on to a marriage? LOL and we are to believe that even HS does not have this much dimaag left that he can sense how desperate Babita is acting.....to him this is all "normal" wife behavior I guess.....now that I think about it, Imarti also used to say stuff like "tera pyaar maar daalega" and whatnot and that was considered "passionate".....lol so I guess this is all "normal" for HS.....isi ko "love" kehte hain. I should have realized before.

Re: surname promo....no, I think the surname issue isn't resolved yet....they only raised it for that epi but will loop back to it again for another discussion....maybe whenever Mini announces her decision to leave for Australia......cuz the tagline of that promo was that it will cause distance between mother-daughter.....this KC is just an interlude.....the fundamental difference in POV remains.....as Mini and Babita said to each other yesterday that they both think the other will realize one day what was right.

The decision to end HS and Babita's characters seems like it was in the works since the wedding only......all the "I will survive" mode stuff, the continued disconnects.....it was all building up towards this inevitability.

I don't know what the writers got caught up in....the hype on Twitter, the hoopla and daily bashing from the fans of the actors....dunno what.....but the show definitely took a turn for the worse once the writers started getting bashed more from the fandoms about screen space, importance and what not.........it's a poisonous cycle of bitterness that ultimately pulls everything down....

I found that part ridiculous.Kammo has actually been complaining non stop how Babita is not out of her honeymoon phase and she hasn’t even shown interacting with NB much after marriage and all of a sudden she is complaining that the other ladies won’t talk to her.
