Why babes is made to look so bad

Agree with most of the things but what is this "Rape " you are talking about ?

They will never develop Babes character so even I feel she should leave this place and doesn't spoil things anymore for anyone ..Her feelings are never respected anyways they are tagged as ego etc etc ..She should maintain.cordial relationship with HS & Minnie but she should not involve in their lives ..it will best for all & for her peace too

I know! I am all for showing flawed characters but why do they have to show babita as a stupid woman without any emotional maturity? And not only that but also they're stripping her off of all qualities she gained after moving out and starting her own business. Is it really necessary? Now I really wonder if emancipation of women was actually meant for babita or not. Until now I thought she was one of the protagonist and there would be growth in her character. That's not happening. If anything her character has become one problem maker.

And I love how writers bend emotions in such a way that even though babita's perspective is valid, she ends up being the bad guy. And that has happened a since the court case drama.

I do not agree with writers opinion about self victimization. I am disappointed how insensitively the whole problem of exploitation by in-laws is handled and the way blame is distributed among those who were involved. If they're handling a social issue, least they can do is to look into real life and do justice to the theme. Writers literally made whole issue of babita's exploitation a simple problem that could have been solved by a little kid.

This is no empowerment. Certainly not for babita. And she needed it the most. Now if I am not going to see her growth, I frankly don't care about the serial because although HS-MINNIE bond is unique, it's not the main point of interest for me. I haven't watched any work of main 3 actors before, so the reason why I followed the story was women standing up for themselves. And now that theme has been thrown into dustbin. Story since the wedding has hardly anything positive about babita. And from what they are showing about babita's character traits, I don't think she'll have any chance of growth on her own in future. She'll be spoon-fed about progressive ideas by other people. I'm not interested in that type of empowerment.

Out of all 3, I have hardly seen any real life Hanuman Singh's or Minnie, but I have met women like babita. And I was rooting for her because women like her deserve better. But apparently according to the show those women are spineless and stupid and they will be in the cesspool unless saved by a Minnie or Hanuman Singh.

Udaari did much better job at showing what empowerment looks like, and how to not deviate from main theme of show. I had hopes that PB would do justice to women of the show, but writers failed babita's character a big time.

I am glad with your open thoughts but dont agree with your rant on HS, which in parts is way off and you are thinking from a Men's point of view as when the story was on track it did make Men look bad as why they did not think like that.

So I think that this is a dig at the last 200 eposides by you to get at HS before the TRP war to get more viewers.

But the main point is missed by all that its not the Babita or HS who are at fault but this is Katha Kottage fascination with Bacheri Gopi Mini the great, so everyone has to be butchered to justify her quest for the Great Mini who is never wrong.

A Mother has been butchered so much its unreal and made to look selfish and has no brains.

HS who was very popular has been butchered to show him being a cheat and a liar and Con.

Even Lally was not spared.

The Khuranas have been whitewashed by Mini who did not wrong with Babita and her absent father will he saint when he comes.

But no KK Babita are evil and now HS as well.

All this to glorify Mini as the last 200 episodes were are a lie or so we are made to believe according to KK as now Mini for the last 3 Months has been 80% of each episodes dedicated to Mini and 20% to the next Characters butchering so this will go on and on.

No its not Patiala Babes anymore and should be renamed Bacheri Mini the Great Patiala Babes.

The Characters of Babita and HS are now just there as props and sound board from advice and lectures from Mini like yesterday as She now as labels as imperfect HS HS Uncle and Babita and HS as Children and she called her self perfect Veer Balika.

Which is why Twitter is going mad at this Mini the great.

So please cut HS some slack as its not him but the Writers who have messed up big time.

Agree she instigated hs but he was the one who said those words to mini yet all of us have blamed babita also for it. Hs koi bachha nhi hai . He has got a brain to think and say what is right.

And yes it is not good to have such hate for a fictional character. And here no one hates hs or babita in the same way. Better call out writers if you feel they are butchering characters.

So true.. After watching Pari as fiercy princess who never bent against the great emperor and watching this is really DISHEARTENING.. This PH is so not for someone like her who has tasted the highest fame in Indian tv history. I hope and pray when her contract ends, she left this nonsense..

I have been reading and enjoying the discussion. A newbie here though.

From a man's perspective, I think the show does not show a balanced notion when rectifying issues. First of all too much focus on Minnie solving everything make this beautiful show absolutely unrealistic.

Second the main character babes is humiliated, distorted and literally raped million times that I feel so bad for the main 'attraction' of this show. I also feel so bad for the beautiful rajput princess, what did she get in this show?

- Everytime babes makes a mistake. She is stupid, immature, in amrit manthan and what not. But Hanumanjee gets it always correct, does not he?

- the main fiasco to the beautiful wedding series did not happen due to khatri's trick, neither CD fiasco but hanuman's immature attack and foolish accusation. How can someone after knowing what these girls went through with ashok would dream to think a 17 year old girl would come up with this sinister plan to hurt him in front of everyone. And on top of that he kept on shedding tears, accusing her and cutting her off when she tried to explain. No one came to correct the brainy hanuman except the brainless babita. Duh! Not even the wise NB!!!!!

- Then yes the brainy guy screams at his step daughter and threatens to kick her out just because brainless babes taunted him to step up. And when she tells him he crossed limit, he throws temper tantrum at her. But no one bothers to correct him. All eyes are on the poor babes. The words that he used are poorly chosen, full of harshness and not a way to correct specially when he knows the situation is so delicate. But today's episode, he dumps it on babes. The same old amrit manthan. Well if he is better off without babes. Then yes, babes is better of without him too.

- before wedding, he pushes away babes just because imarti's dad comes with a false case which hanuman knows can be easily explained to babes and minnie. How can you push away someone who you love so much? And oh yes, it is this stupid babes whose articulation of imarti's letter saves his life and fixes all fiasco.... but babita does not get that much credit. But he is never criticized for what he did and made to look stupid, brainless....

- he insults babes with that unspeakable attitude and does not apologize to her and even when she demands, he denounces that as amrit manthan. No reprimand for him though. She was shown as childish etc...

- before wedding nb criticizes babes for returning Hanuman's business shares as if that was so stupid. And he freaks out and reminds her of all the gayn and emotion and time he put forth for her. If the same was done by babes, she would be blasted with gayn-talks and labeled as immature.

- the distance between minnie is created (CD fiasco) and recreated (kickout dhamki) by hanuman but he blames it on babes. He is shown to be struggling. Why? He was so articulated, balanced in handling minnie before marriage? But all those moments he crushed with his foolish behavior. But see at the end all blame all goes to babes. She is called immature, selfish, always looks out for her wants and needs.

- after pushing a child away from seeing her mother (which itself is strange, duh! Should you not try to at least find out what is the cause for her to want to meet her babes at midnight), and even after finding out the cause, he spends whole day without consulting his wife what should be done to fix this fiasco. But the night scene of argument is depicted to bring sympathy for him and more anger against a stupid babes. This is a v unrealistic way of portraying the main 'dhaga' of the show. Yes, we don't want an all problem solving babes, but we also don't want a beautiful character to be portrayed as

Totally agree.

Babita did ask him to be strict and scold Mini. She was angry and questioned his love so Hanuman felt pressurized.

But the words that came out of HS’s mouth was totally his. He shouldn’t get a free pass for bringing in Ashok and telling Mini this is his and Babes’s house and they will kick her out. That’s totally on him.

I don’t know how HS and Mini get clean chits for every action of theirs but Babita does anything and it’s she has ego, immature, insensitive, self-absorbed, dumb, no emotional capabilities etc etc etc.

I will say this again Babita’s character has been butchered since the Imarti track, and I am done with this. If the writers don’t wanna show emotional maturity in Babita, then I am done with this show. I can’t just watch it for Mini ka random mahanta and rona dhona or HS-Mini ka so called father-daughter bond, I need Babita to be given emotional maturity. How the fcuk are you doing emancipation when everyone has to come and tell you what to do, how to react at a certain situations? And I am done with this so called Amrit-Manthan. If HS says Amrit-Manthan one more time, then he’s had it with me.

Actually even before imarti track there were instances like slapping mini for helping mita and getting angry on mini for eating with her daddy beeji when babita had herself sent her with a cake to them. There have been instances where she has wanted people to behave the way she liked and thrown a tantrum if they dint

But the thing is that instead of getting better these things have only gone worse

And mini ko to clean chit at least viewers se nhi mita but hs ko sab se mita hai
