Even in all her recent conversations, it's been about what she gets out of this marriage. I haven't seen her think about what HS really wants or feels, neither as a husband nor as a father. This is the disconnect NB was talking about.

Yes, this sukh is fine in the honeymoon phase. After that, real life will smack you in the face. When HS will come back home after a long day and not be able to talk his heart out with her because she won't get him, then another kind of loneliness will set in. Perhaps that's his cross to bear.

I guess that is her core personality na....utterly self-absorbed....this is how the writers view her. I've never seen a tweet from them where they actually seem to have some level of respect for her😆

In the early half of the show, she was a victim for quite a bit....now they don't have as much ammo to justify her victimhood so they talk about her with scorn and show her self-absorption in such a contrived manner....lol

Bhai, self-absorption is not a sin....I think everyone is guilty of it from time to time....but the level to which they are showing it with Babita is quite exaggerated.

So yes, right now also, it's all about her....my marriage, my pati, my sukh, my pyar.....is sab mein HS ki feelings ke liye sochne ki jagah kahaan hai? lol

Jo bachi hui jagah hai, that is left to guilt trip over Mini....aur Mini bhi isliye cuz woh MERI beti hai.....lol

HS has also approached this marriage in a naive fashion in some ways....waise toh he gives gyaan on man woman relationships....but he doesn't seem to realize jab baat khud pe aayi....ki itni superficiality ke saath nahin tikegi shaadi....they will inevitably grow apart.

THIS....this is the major difference...Man, when I was binge-watching, I used to be SO floored by how much ALL the characters used to self-introspect from time to time....I remember gushing about it so much whenever I spoke of the show.

And now that very crucial basic thing only is totally missing.....Sad.

Yes, what's jarring is definitely the overnight change in characterizations....for a show that otherwise approached a lot of things gradually, this 180 degree change deffo felt like whiplash.

Yes, he still feels like the old HS when he's talking to Laala or NB.

But the moment he's with Babita, it's like watching an alien version of him....everything feels artificial.

I thought she wasn't a simple person mentally or emotionally....I didn't realize it would bleed into her physical self also.....lol

The shaadi track I think was their biggest attempt to pander to the channel for TRPs.....they dressed it up as Mini ka sapna for her Babes ki shaadi to have an excuse for the level of lavishness....otherwise it definitely didn't make any sense for the characters or the story.

And with that, they got an excuse to switch the whole tone of the show.

Previously also festivals have been celebrated in the show....Lohri, Holi....but they all wove into the narrative....yeh nahin ki randomly one minute you are all crying, next minute romancing and all serene for festival time.

The pressure from the channel was just so obvious in the over-the-top celebrations. Again, I'm fine with them introducing drama and conflict. They've done that successfully in the past, but it's like someone's replaced the writers.

Even the CD fiasco got more continuity than this in terms of reactions...you could feel the distance between them even as Mini tried to act normal and be polite.

But Yahaan it’s a total mess....I totally lost connect seeing how normally she was talking to HS in the scene when he was arranging plates for the party. Even the CD argument got some closure when she asked him to let go of his anger. But here, they directly jumped from him scolding her so much, her barely talking to him to all normal the next time they talk. Wow 🙄🤷‍♀️

It’s obvious they’ve lost the attention to detail they once had.

Yes mini was surprising too. One day she was so angry and upset with babita for calling her other woman, second day she is waiting for ger to Wish her and make cake
