I also feel that the entire shaadi track messed with the basic essence of PB on some levels that they haven't managed to recover from.

Now post shaadi, a kind of simplicity that used to exist in the show is gone.....it's a small thing, but to me, seeing a GIANT chooda on Babita's hands is jarring in some ways.....she doesn't feel like the original simple Babita I used to like....ofcourse her messed up personality doesn't help any much either.....lol

It makes me wish they had gone for a simple wedding and focused on a subtle approach to developing their relationship rather than blowing it all up with a lavish wedding.

I also think the shaadi track messed things up.

You're talking about the chooda? I don't like her wardrobe since she got married because it doesn't go with her simplicity. But then again, we were told she's not a simple person.

I could never understand why he fell for Babita in the first place except for her beauty and cooking, which he recently also mentioned.

Hey, he was being HONEST😆....so very honest about the shallow reasons he fell for her....lol most men wouldn't be that honest about how shallow their thinking actually is😆

Yes, if things continue this way only, HS really can't expect Babita to step up for anything....he himself has set the tone for this skewed relationship now by pandering to everything she wants and the kind of person she is, she will never realize on her own that she needs to step up and try to connect with him beyond these "pati ka sukh" spells.....lol

I guess they will find out that this "sukh" alone ain't gonna be enough to get through this lambi zindagi together😆

The way he put back the sindoor ki dibbi back in the drawer was symbolic of him shutting off that part of his life from her again, perhaps forever. Sad.

LOL the amrit manthan convo happened before the wedding....does it even apply anymore?

And the recent convo with Lala was only about how Babita was being pushy about him and Mini.....there was no mention of him realizing the imbalance between himself and Babita too.

I know you still want to hope for a lot in terms of HS being self-aware but honestly, there isn't much substance in the epis to back that up these days. One-off scenes don't count if there is no follow up or continuity.

Yes, that honesty was refreshing to be honest. Besides, even if he were to tell her about some deep meaningful reasons, especially related to the connection with his mother, she wouldn't get it or care to understand him.

Even in all her recent conversations, it's been about what she gets out of this marriage. I haven't seen her think about what HS really wants or feels, neither as a husband nor as a father. This is the disconnect NB was talking about.

Yes, this sukh is fine in the honeymoon phase. After that, real life will smack you in the face. When HS will come back home after a long day and not be able to talk his heart out with her because she won't get him, then another kind of loneliness will set in. Perhaps that's his cross to bear.

in that convo with laale he gave that old vibes but as soon as it shifts to him & babita , new HS surfaces who is different from older version .

The reason I still have hope is I can see the themes peeking out between these haphazard scenes, but the execution is a huge failure. He realized the imbalance, he's known about it for a while. Unlike in the past though, there is no introspection of his as before. Which is why we feel even more of a disconnect.

It's not like things gradually went downhill, it's like they did a 180 overnight. That's why we're having trouble with this change.

I also think the shaadi track messed things up.

LOL yeah the wardrobe doesn't map to her original simplicity either but it's the chooda that puts me off the most.....it just adds to her spoilt princess image....like she's some naive girl who got married rather than a mature woman.

I thought she wasn't a simple person mentally or emotionally....I didn't realize it would bleed into her physical self also.....lol

The shaadi track I think was their biggest attempt to pander to the channel for TRPs.....they dressed it up as Mini ka sapna for her Babes ki shaadi to have an excuse for the level of lavishness....otherwise it definitely didn't make any sense for the characters or the story.

And with that, they got an excuse to switch the whole tone of the show.

Previously also festivals have been celebrated in the show....Lohri, Holi....but they all wove into the narrative....yeh nahin ki randomly one minute you are all crying, next minute romancing and all serene for festival time.

The irony is that there ARE many ideas still left to explore....HS ka past baggage, HS-Mini ki relationship, Babita's personality maturity a bit.....but seems like either the channel hasn't greenlit any of these ideas or the makers themselves don't want to pursue them and would rather show random drama that doesn't go anywhere.

they're not putting real efforts these days , no one is bothered (in the team...😆)

while people on twitter & other places still breaking their heads , so they r not losing much ......😉
