Jean, do you remember his conversation with lala during Imarti track where Lala says he is doing injustice to Babitha. Then HS replies 'haan lale anyay hi toh hai Prayaschith to karna padega' and that look on his face? Do you think his behaviour with Babitha has to do anything with that prayaschith?

@ bold

I don't think, I am sure. It's penance for that but even more for his mother. No two ways about it.

But if you think about it, in a way, this is what happens in a lot of families. There are heated debates and next thing all goes back to "normal", so the real issues are never addressed and the pain and frustration just festers.

Yes, he still feels like the old HS when he's talking to Laala or NB.

But the moment he's with Babita, it's like watching an alien version of him....everything feels artificial.

Everything is artificial. The foundation of their marriage, the premise, the structure, their 'family unit', all of it.

I am beginning to feel all this is deliberate.

The proposal and the wedding itself was too rushed. HS had doubts that prevented him from making the first move or proposing, but with the fear of them both moving out and Babita giving him an opening, he seized this chance and went with his emotions instead of logic. The rest, as they say, is history.

I don't feel that analogy is directly applicable to what this situation was.....this wasn't a typical heated family debate.....Babita had crossed big lines with the way she called Mini the other woman, slapped her and then later even got HS to scold her.....so it just didn't feel natural for them all to move on so casually from it.

Maybe if this was the kind of family that never talked about these things and even in the past, never resolved anything after an argument or fight, then I'd buy it.....but before this wedding, they all very much talked and resolved things....realized their follies within 24 hours max and addressed them. Now suddenly it's all on to next festival.

So no, I don't buy that justification....it's bad writing.

Even the emotions feel artificial in the HS-Babita scenes because they keep everything on a surface level or just do random token flirting.....lol but people are finding chemistry in that only and trying to justify what a "natural" couple they are.

To me, without substance, koi couple nahin, koi chemistry nahin. Simple.

Unless the writers address the fundamental lack of substance in HS-Babita scenes nowadays and give them something of substance to talk about, connect over, it's a lost cause.

People on Twitter are busy crying for romantic scenes rather than realizing that it's the lack of substance that's doing this pair in. Dheere Jalna part two isn't going to fix everything magically without fundamental substance and flow.

It's bad writing indeed. Even if they were trying to show what I described, the message isn't getting through to us.

Word... Unfortunately a lot of the audience members don't think about things in that depth, hence the reaction you mentioned.

He must have been feeling so lonely now. Kahan usne socha tha beti hogi saath mein aur sambhaal lega khudko par beti toh sabki problem solve karne lagi uski chodke.

it's a nightmare but he doesn't blame Minnie. Besides it's unfair to expect the kind of support from her that he should actually be getting from Babita, par woh to hone se raha.

One day I would like to see him address the CD fiasco and his fears and concerns about her not wanting him as a father. That's the source of a lot of his worries.
