@bold: I love Poonam's sarees too.

Poonam and Meeta were representative of everything Babita isn't but secretly wants to be, both in terms of styling and confidence. Very interesting characterization.

Thats true great observation 😳... very interesting indeed.

Does this mean if and when Babita gets there, she will dress up in a saree? (not always but maybe once or twice) 😳

I don't think it's the sari so much as the fact that their dressing accentuates their beauty and is in line with their confidence in themselves as women who are strong and beautiful. They are not afraid of their femininity. Babita aspires to be that way but doesn't have the confidence and is afraid/ashamed of her own desires and of dressing for herself.

I actually wanted to talk about this: what exactly does the saree symbolize for Babita?

Sarees, as far as I know, are a traditional Indian wear and require a certain amount of confidence to carry. It can be found in a variety of a designs and styles too.

Babita on the other hand, has been seen as wearing very simple salwar suits that don't have a lot of color, embroidery or designs. It's very monotone and in a way, devoid of life. It was very easy for her to blend into the background and not stand out in the crowd. It was another way for her to hide from the world and repress her true desires.

Even post divorce when she changed her wardrobe, there wasn't a lot going on. Muted colors, quite a bit of grey and brown, and very light embroidery.

It's post marriage that we're seeing her in deep bold colors. The suit, while it again covers her from top to toe, the sweeping gown still does its job of making her look quite elegant and regal.

I don't know if it's a cultural thing but most Punjabi shows or movies I've watched show women mainly wearing salwar suit. None of the other characters in the show/moholla wear saris so it would be something unusual.

One more thing, often saris are associated with women being sensual so that's something that may or may not be explored with her. Personally, I think sensuality is more about how you feel and carry yourself than what you wear, so I'm sure even in salwar suits that aspect of Babita could be explored.

Even her wedding clothes had pastel shades, unlike the montage which was a deep red. I think the colors she wears will gradually change over time, not that HS has an issue. He loves her the way she is, at least she confirmed that with him before the wedding. 😉

Topic kya tha... Kaha pahuncha🤣

I am really glad that AD got the role of HS.. Yes before this I too didn't knew much of him but this role changed everything... It's very rare to see such kinds of male lead on ITV... Last rare of such a male lead was Mohan Bhatnagar for me of NBT... I loved Kunal there and I love to see Anirudh here... Down the line somewhere both play step dads... That's the common link....

Some roles are truly written for gem of a actors... though PB was always a mother daughter story ever since Anirudh entered the show as HS he owned the show.... And for his presence only sometimes I end of catching even the dull episodes....

KK had tweeted that it's for everyone's speculation if Mini will ever call HS dad or they would have a real father daughter relationship. Damn why! They already had one!

I think they are playing with us, but at the end of the day, the label is not important, the emotion is. One thing is for sure, HS can be to her what Ashok or Babita can never ever be. He has his own place in her life, and most importantly, he's her hero.

I think that's the main reason AD was ok to play HS.

Me too, I wait just for a glimpse of him. If he's not there, the episode feels dull. I do miss his comic scenes, though. It's been a while since we had some of those and although I think AD is fantastic in those emotional scenes, he just nails comedy. Very few actors in the world have that perfect sense of timing and flair with comedy.

Soft hearted Haryanvi cop☺️

I'm so so so glad he took it up. No one would've done so much justice to the role!

I absolutely love his acting and his talent and his character.

I guess we all are lucky here that he took it up. <3
