Yes Minnie getting less attention might be a problem, but I am actually wondering if Babita will resent that HS loves Minnie more and prioritizes her over Babita. Kind of a reverse of the training track.

You know that’s exactly what I was thinking. She will start resenting at some point that she’s not the most important person in HS’s life. I think she ought to.

I get what you are saying. There are still some(not some actually, many) people, who think women cannot do what men do. Sadly, this is our society. If men achieve great heights and a woman achieves too, it is regarded nonsense. After all, mardangi is what persists even today. Even in Bollywood industry, women are paid really less compared to men. And if, women raise their voices, it is called attention seeking. For example #MeToo. On one side, real incidents were being told, on the other, people raised fingers at them, calling them money minded women. I wonder when would women still get the justice that we want. It is actually saddening to see this discrimination....

Is it lack of attention she gave to Ashok because she was busy being the daughter in law instead of being a wife? Is it because she never asked Ashok for anything? She never initiated anything? She didn’t ask him to take her with him? She didn’t fight for it.

Not necessarily breaking but perhaps not being proactive enough or demanding her rights or not walking out early on instead of dragging it for 17 years. It could be many things.

You remember what HS had told Babita when they first arrived? That women like her get used to abuse and they bring it on themselves because of the "pati parmeshwar" mentality. It applies to mental/emotional abuse too.

may be Minnie won't be insecure ...seems with spoiler she is one who push them I suppose Minnie will be in fix as Hanuman Bbaita might have different opinion regarding her....whom Minnie will support types

i guess that Jhumka scene made Minnie realize Babita Hanuman needs time alone ....Babita can't be thinking abt dadu Beeji or even Minnie all the time

Yes, I think that’s why I am glad they brought up the whole Babita being lost in HS’s thoughts and admiring the gift that he got her, which might seem like she’s ignoring senior citizen’s “shagun”... but that’s not the case. I think people around and Mini ought to realize now HS will be the most important person in Babita’s life (not above Mini obviously), but definitely above her ex-in laws or anyone else.

Ought to resent Minnie? Now that will be very interesting and it's crossed my mind a few times. I mean in the hospital, HS told Minnie what we knew, but still it was a declaration that she was first, that she was his favorite and that he loved her more than he loved Babita. That is quite something, especially since she's not his biological child (often you see parents "loving" their children or prioritizing them over their spouses). I was thinking then, that it was probably a good thing Babita hadn't heard it. I don't know if she'd even want HS' attention divided to that extent. And now that they are going to get married, HS will have the "right" to act as a parent in a legal context too, if required, so he will be more and more involved in Minnie's life, potentially leaving less time for Babita who as an adult should be able to look after herself.

You know, when HS broke the bottle on Minnie's request, Babita did not look too happy. It was very easy for HS to be convinved by his Veer Balika, who could even mention Imarti when challenging him, whereas Babita and he had just had a fight over it the other day.

I feel the distance was the main culprit . I somewhere feel that priority factor was responsible . Remember meeta told that ashok was a totally diff person in london who supported her, understood her and that he was also lonely . May be bcz babita indulged so much in caring for others that she somewhere neglected ashok. May be when he use to visit them, she never took out time specially for him . All she remained was mother of mini and bahu of khurana and herself was not able to bridge that gap and become companion of ashok. Imo they never really had a talk, never shared their desires. Ashok just wanted attention, affection and he found that in meeta. That is why they say couples should atleast go on a weekly dates to spend time with each other.

The dynamics is going to change with marriage. I feel all 3 relationships will go through test. Babita never gave anyone attention but minnie. Minnie is used to attention from both but now that will be divided.

I was just thinking will they will have issues about having child together. And if they do then also there will so many factors play role especially babita becoming mother again whrn her daughter is grown up and minni who will have to share her parents with another person

Yes, it's very sad. Especially when you see it in so called hi-fi familes who have tons of degrees and ceritifcates from top universities hung on the wall but are extremely narrow minded. 😡
