I know that he is mature enough to understand she is the opposite. But it still is not that clear to me. Hopefully as the track progresses, we may get an insight into this....

I may sound obnoxious but, if they show HS flashbacks of Imarti, we will/might understand that he truly loved her. Now, it is Babita, but I dont know if this is called falling in love. I mean true love happens only once, and that has happened with Imarti. What about Babita? Moreover, the fact that he sees Imarti in Babita is all the more alarming. He fell for her, because he felt she is Imarti. I dont know what I am thinking, but I am concerned for sure....

@bold

I think he was using that to convince himself that he was only attracted to Babita because of glimpses of Imarti, rather than because of who Babita is. And come on, he was a loner, widower, with a soft corner for abla naari's because of what happened to his mother. There's a beautiful, sweet lady living in his house. Ho gaya pyaar, kya kar sakte hain ab?😉

He told Minnie that it was ishq waala love and I would be so curious to see how he describes her to Minnie in future scenes, since I don't expect him to do so with Babita at this stage.

As for whether true love happens only once, well HS thought so too, until Naeem Bi told him otherwise. I think widows/widowers are capable of loving their second spouses but it will be in a different way.

Yes, exactly! He wanted her to become like Imarti, not in terms of personality but in terms of strength of character by learning to fight for herself.

@bold exactly. Before, he had nothing to lose. He could wallow in his ek-tarfa pyar. Now he has no excuses, he has to face his past and himself. I also think he needs to reconcile the fact that he can love both women but differently while still being loyal to his promises to both of them.

Actually, if you think about it, he has never promised Babita anything or made any commitment whatsoever. He is in love with her and respects her a lot but he has never mentioned anything to her regarding spending the rest of his life with or whatever. The closest he came was asking her if she cared if something happened, and she shut down that avenue immediately. Since then, he has never really talked directly about his perception of his importance in her life. Of course, there are little slip ups now and then, such as "aap ko to main kisi se bhi compare nahin kar sakta", or "sab kuch aap hi ka to hai". Everything else has been under the surface or communicated through the eyes, which is great, but won't be sufficient for that much longer.

As I had said previously imarti was something he needed back then - a fiesty woman who got his life on track. He married her and she was the mother of his child. It was deep and passionate for them. With Babita ... He has always been particular, caring, possessive and protective because a part of him thinks that Babita needs him by her side ... Whereas unconsciously as a man ... He needs some one caring, nurturing and loving like Babita ... The reason he has come to love her so much ... He is surely going to be in this dillema of passion for Imarti v/s protectiveness for Babita.

This one is not going to be easy for babes because till now she has seen the chivalrous side of Hanuman. Once he becomes vulnerable I really don't know if she will be able to handle it plus ... What about the time when she will have to here the romantic tales of Hanuman and Imarti ... Indeed a great job done by the writers ... Now that he has started realizing that usse Kiraayedaarni ji poori ki poori mil sakti hai ... His fears have resurfaced and he is thinking ... Kya woh poora ka poora Kiraayedaarni ji ka ho sakta hai .... Truly unexpected and interesting.

1st bold...exactly .that's what she needs to know.his fears , scars and lost love.

2nd bold...you have put that into really beautiful words. He has never thought he can get babita. Now ,when he had that opportunity, he is facing his worst nightmares.. maybe he is in guilt that he pulled babita to love and now he has to restrict himself.

Yes, over time our needs and our dreams change, and as you correctly put, Babita is what he needs at this point in time. I think part of his concern also stems for the fact that he may not be sure that she knows what he needs from her or how he needs it, and whether is is ready/willing to give him that.

This is brilliant writing, I must say!

It's about time ... You remember his dialogues with mini when he said everyone needs an emotional support. Right now he is alone, weak and falling apart, Babita is the emotional support he needs

For HS, it'll be a journey to fall in love all over again. I don't think he ever burdened her with Imarti's expectations. He just gave that position in his life to her. There's a difference.

He has never said he sees Imarti in her. His love for her is a whole different thing. He didn't realise he's falling until he was in love.

Maybe... I have actually never seen or heard of such happenings in my life. Lekin accept toh karna hi padega. Babita is good in her sphere. But, I am sure Babita's character that she is today( strong willed, determined etc), is all because of HS. And maybe, the way she is now was how Imarti was. In a way, maybe that's what made him fall for her....
