Besides, he loves her like a mother so he doesn't take offense to this. Today, though, I think he was finally shocked by her talking of his death and by her asking the Lord to take her. Poor guy attributed it to her old age and senility.

And yes, HS might listen to what others say but at the end of the day he does what he thinks is right. I hope that never changes because only he knows what's good for him.

I found it a bit funny since Minnie did the exact same thing earlier by requesting Mata Rani. Jaisi Dadi, waisi poti.😆

Sometimes a sharp tongue is needed to deliver some harsh truths and Naeem Bi has no problem delivering those. 😆

Yes! I'm gonna quote something that my own grandpa used to say, "Sab ki suno, par karo kudh ki." People will have a hundred and one things to say but at the end of the day, you're the one who's gonna have to live with your decisions. Besides, regardless of what anyone says, no one knows you better than you.

I think the episode will pick up where we left off with HS and Minnie's convo. Now you've made me curious to know what Hanita want out of each other. We have everyone else's and our own perspectives but what is it that HS and Babes want for themselves and then for each other? Babes definitely doesn't want another Ashok and I doubt HS will be looking for another Imarti. But also, what do they want out of life given where they are at the moment?

Maybe someone tells him something that finally pushes him to take the plunge?

YES!! Omg, I fell in love with him when he forced the Visa verification to the villagers. The way he talked about the difference in physical signs a married woman wears versus a married man - 👏 That was it. I knew we had something really special.

And this side of his has been shown consistently and the way he just slips in these everyday hard hitting truths - my gosh! I don't think I have ever seen someone be more aware of themselves and the society around them.

I think only HS could have explained these delicacies to Minnie since Babes herself is experiencing all these emotions for the time. She too, like Minnie, is learning new colors of love.

Agreed. It's weird but for the first time in my life I've actually looked up to an ITV character as a father-figure role model. The advices that he gives are SO on point and can be applicable to anyone regardless of who they are. They don't have to be a Babita, Lala or Minnie. They can be me, you, our neighbors, siblings, etc.

@green
I completely agree with you. As time passes, I feel as if the writer has modeled his character after the person she hero-worships. It can't be all imaginative. There is so much thought into every word and action of his.

@bold

OMG yes! It's not weird at all. He really is #fathergoals #husbandgoals #friendgoals #perfectrolemodel

There are some things he has said that will stay with me forever, such as:

  • Life is a forward spiral
  • Mauqa chhota shabd hai aur tha sirf thodi der ke liye hi hai (or something along those lines)
  • You don't need any reason to be happy
  • Sabse bada rog, kya kahenge log

Need I go on?

Yes, and did you notice how Minnie has started to take on attributes from Naeem Bi and from HS?

I also loved the way she was hugging Naeem Bi today, dadi-poti. She has far more to learn from this dadi than her Beeji so I am glad she is getting this opportunity to spend time with her.

You know, sometimes I want to just go and give him a tight hug to say everything will be ok. Aur kitna sahega bechaara.

Babita, once she comes into her own, will not be easy to deal with. Good luck to him as his patience gets tested repeatedly.

Did you notice all the symbolism in today's episode? He said he was going to clean his place up. We laughed at it because it seemed like he was evading Minnie's questions but I genuinely think he wanted to clean the haveli, make it sparkle, as if to give everything a fresh start. Getting rid of the bottles and all the old, unwanted stuff at home was his way of starting to flush out the bitterness of the past.

This is exactly how I took it. Babita should also start thinking more deeply. That's exactly what he wants to do by cleaning up. It's just so symbolic. And I agree I also don't feel he is an alcoholic. Anywat I am sure the CVs know what they are doing and after all everyone has deep-seated angst and many many layers to their personality. Let's see what they want to unravel.

But since the leitmotiv today seemed to be addiction even though handled in a light-hearted vein, my heart kinda sank wondering if the CVs were preparing us for something plus the mounds and mounds of bottles of all sizes and shapes that came out.

Really hope I am wrong!!!!

By the incident with Minnie, I was actually referring more to his discovery of how much he meant to her, the fact that she idolized him, hero-worshiped him. He had inadvertently become the kind of father to her that he would have wanted to have, that he would have wanted his child to have. So he began to put his needs below hers.

Look at the way he was talking to Minnie today with so much open affection, holding her hand, putting his arm around her when she was about to go off in a huff. His demeanor was completely different. When she sat on the sofa again instead of leaning on to Babita, it was his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close like a father does. He has never done that before. In fact this is the first time he has initiated something like this. Otherwise he usually just returns her hugs or comforts her when she's crying.

Even towards the end of the episode the way he was talking to her was different, somehow. I don't know if it's carried over from missing her while he was away and just wanting to spend Sunday fun day with his daughter.

Ugh... I can't explain it but if you go watch their scenes today you'll see what I mean.

I'm so happy that somebody noticed this.I was so happy watching tonight's, well the last couple of episodes actually.

Along with hanita, the equation of mini-hanuman also improved really a lot. Since mini's apology day i guess or maybe from the time babita gave him the right over mini-those two totally went into father-daughter zone. And its so endearing. I'm just loving this mini all pampered finally in dad's love.

Mini now actually feels like a baby throwing tantrums rather than the angry mature kid.

I'm sure i'll love all the way hanuman will be happy to be a dad too in the coming future.specially when we will learn more about his scar of loosing a kid.

Anyway I never did get a chance or an appropriate forum post to say how much I have started loving the interjection Bhains ki poonch!!

So as random as it may sound I am saying it here officially.🤣

Hmm, I wonder how much involvement Anirduh has in terms of shaping the character too. I don't know if it's true or not but Paridhi once complimented Anirudh as being an improv king and how he can make a short monologue into a three page masterpiece.

In my head, he's Hanuman Uncle. It's so weird to address him in any other way. 🤣

The life is forward spiral will stay with me forever!! I think back to it so many times. I think we need a separate thread to host all his life lessons. It'll make it so much easier to go back and refer too. 😆

Yes! I just hope she doesn't start swearing like Naeem Bi though. 😆

She was a total child today! The way kids run to their grandparents to avoid getting in trouble from their parents. ❤ And the way Babes started complaining to HS about what Minnie did - that was a TOTAL family moment.

Beeji is so weird. The way she's harping on about meri poti, and her insistence on wanting to stay at HS' home... like dude, where was all this love and concern when Ashok was being a big meanie to them? Tab poti ki yaad ni aayi?

Same! He has been a pillar of support for everyone for so long. It's about time someone does the same for him.

Babita toh Babita hai, don't forget about Minnie ke nakre too. 😂 At times, I feel like Minnie thinks the world revolves around her. She needs to realize that it doesn't and regardless of what happens to her, it will continue to spin.
