One thing I don't like about Naeem Bi is that she can off as being insensitive towards HS' feelings towards Imarti. When she was first introduced, she started commenting on how HS' house is now like a graveyard as there are no ringing of Imarti's bangles and whatnot. HS was SO hurt by that and yet he said nothing to her.

Today too, she did the same thing. Yes, Imarti's passing has left a void in his life and wishes Babes to fill it but I don't think that's right. Babes is Babes and she shouldn't be taking anyone's place or filling anyone's absence. She's not a replacement after all. Imarti's place in HS' life should be left intact as she has a huge influence over him, his ideologies and the core of who he is. Babes should make her own place in his heart.

I guess her character is blunt and straightforward , I agree with you when she said Hanuman's haveli was like graveyard I felt bad for poor guy too and to think of it..at that time he wud have needed her most.. but she said she didn't come coz Imarti was not there.. anyways now she has redeemed herself ..

I wanna know more about his POV on the delicate relationship between a man and a woman. If he knows that Babita loves him and can see her yearning for him, then why is he stopping himself?

Nahh, I don't think he would have stopped completely. I don't know what his habits were like before marriage or what the family dynamic was like during that time either. We were introduced to a HS who lived alone but let's not forget that there was a time when he lived with his Dadaji, and drunkard dad too. Who knows what HS would have been like at that time.

Same here. I am sure he will reveal it to Naeem Bi eventually or maybe he might tell Minnie herself. It might be part of his waiting for Babita to be ready for him and for a relationship. They respect and trust each other as co-parents, but as lovers? Not quite there yet. They still have to explore this. Could it have anything to do with what she had said earlier about wanting to experience every color one at a time? Is he giving her space? If so, what is it that convinces him to be led by Micky, Minnie, and Naeem bi to confess as we saw in the promo?

You know what I love so much about this serial? The way it challenges stereotypes. We don't often hear men talking about the delicate side of relationships the way HS does. His sensitivity and the fact that he understands people in such depth is remarkable. We usually see women do that on ITV, rarely men. He knows exactly what Babita is feeling. He has known how her emotions have changed over time. When he heard the song he was not surprised. It was, to him, a signal that she had moved a step closer to him.

Also, it is often mothers teaching their daughters about such emotions and sharing their life experiences but here we see her father trying to explain to her about the fragility of relationship at every step. i love the way he tries to simplify and explain things to her as best as he can, knowing she is still young and might not get the big picture yet. He did the same when trying to explain to her about Babita needing emotional support. It's also great for her to see a man's perspective on such topics, which she had completely missed out on growing up.

I also really love the wording they use for HS when he talks about such sensitive topics. It's really quite educational.

And what he tends to do is, collect all the empty bottles and cans and every six months or so returns them to the Beer Store as he gets money for it. And I think that's what HS was doing too but Naeem Bi and Babes just assumed that he drinks that much all in one go. 😆

Yeah, remember all the bottles they found upstairs when they first moved in?

Oh my God, that scene! He had tears in his eyes. I don't think she means ill, she just has a sharp tongue. He knows her since childhood, and knows her ways. Besides, he loves her like a mother so he doesn't take offense to this. Today, though, I think he was finally shocked by her talking of his death and by her asking the Lord to take her. Poor guy attributed it to her old age and senility.

And yes, HS might listen to what others say but at the end of the day he does what he thinks is right. I hope that never changes because only he knows what's good for him.

I think part of it was also her realization that her biological children were selfish and that HS was her real son.

I think HS didn't want Babita adhi adhori si in his life. He said to Nayem Bi that he wants all of her. This is the conversation he had with Nayem Bi during one of the episodes and when Ashok and Mita were married and in India. Babita has moved on in life. She has no soft corner for Ashok. So maybe this time it's HS chance to do the same for Babita. More in the sense of clearing up some space in his heart that is specifically for Babita.

We initially thought that's what he meant, but in the next episode we realized he meant that he accepted her with all her flaws and even the traces of her past. It's her turn.

I think the episode will pick up where we left off with HS and Minnie's convo. Now you've made me curious to know what Hanita want out of each other. We have everyone else's and our own perspectives but what is it that HS and Babes want for themselves and then for each other? Babes definitely doesn't want another Ashok and I doubt HS will be looking for another Imarti. But also, what do they want out of life given where they are at the moment?

Maybe someone tells him something that finally pushes him to take the plunge?

YES!! Omg, I fell in love with him when he forced the Visa verification to the villagers. The way he talked about the difference in physical signs a married woman wears versus a married man - 👏 That was it. I knew we had something really special.

And this side of his has been shown consistently and the way he just slips in these everyday hard hitting truths - my gosh! I don't think I have ever seen someone be more aware of themselves and the society around them.

I think only HS could have explained these delicacies to Minnie since Babes herself is experiencing all these emotions for the time. She too, like Minnie, is learning new colors of love.

Agreed. It's weird but for the first time in my life I've actually looked up to an ITV character as a father-figure role model. The advices that he gives are SO on point and can be applicable to anyone regardless of who they are. They don't have to be a Babita, Lala or Minnie. They can be me, you, our neighbors, siblings, etc.

Yup! Oh gosh, I can't even imagine what his state would have been like to abandon and shut that room forever. I wonder if it took him a long period of time or he went full out drunk and did it all in one night.
