In a charitable mood ;) chpt11 on pg20 - Page 13

Kunal came to the office thinking about what Anand had said about Richa trying to kidnap him so that Anand would accept her as his mother. Kunal wondered how a small child like Anand could think someone would do such a thing😲! He blamed it on movies saying they were having a bad impact on Anand's mind. But was his fear genuine! Could Richa be involved in Rohit's death😕? He wondered why Siddhi had accused him in an open court for being a murderer. She knew very well that he was no where near the accident site, then why did she blame him in open court😕? Thinking all this, he went into his cabin.

Siddhi walked in right behind him and started searching for some files on his table. Kunal was surprised to see her walk in without knocking as she usually does😲.

"Siddhi what are you doing here?", he asked. "Why didn't you knock before you came in? You keep teaching me manners all the time.. that I need to knock before entering! Why did you not follow your rule now?😳"

Siddhi looked at Kunal; arrogantly smiled at him and said, "Yesterday you came into my office without knocking.. so, now I did the same thing! Now you understand how it feels when someone enters without knocking?!😉" Saying this Siddhi left his cabin with the file she wanted. Kunal couldn't keep his eyes off her for a second and by the time she left, he had a smile on his face😊. He wondered how he had survived for 9 long years without having a squabble with her! He terribly missed these small fights he used to have with her. She used to be so adamant during such fights and she still is! It was a pleasure to engage in petty fights with her and what luck! Today the first thing in the morning, she was at her arrogant best! And he loved it!😳

He absent-mindedly opened his laptop and started working when the peon came and informed Kunal that Abhay was waiting to see him. As soon as Kunal went into Abhay's cabin, Abhay came running towards Kunal and closed the door behind him. Kunal was confused and stepped aside as Abhay rushed towards the door😲. After the door was secured, Abhay took Kunal by his arm and made him sit on the sofa. He looked worried!

"Kunal, you have to help me buddy!" he said to Kunal.

"Sure sir, what do you want me to help with? Is this about the rival company trying to get hold of the tenders? I will look into it right away!😃" Kunal said confidently.

"Its not about that Kunal! I have to talk about something personal and right now only you can help me out!" Kunal looked confused! What could he help Abhay with personally?!😕

"Kunal, Its about Siddhi! I told you she rejected my proposal for marriage. I asked her to think about it and take her own time.. but she is not talking to me since yesterday! I feel I have been too forward with my proposal. May be she hates me now! Kunal, I don't mind if she does not marry me but I don't want to loose her as a friend! I don't want my stupidity to be the reason for loosing her friendship. We live in the same house and it feels so awkward when she avoids me!"

Kunal's inner conscience started jumping up and down with joy on hearing Abhay's words. She was like that, my jungli billi😳, he thought! She hasn't changed, then!

"But Sir, what do you want me to do about it?😕" Kunal asked innocently!

"You have to talk to her, Kunal. You have to mediate for both of us!"

"Me? You know we both fight a lot!😳 How can you expect me to help you Sir?😕"

"Kunal, I have noticed that you two are slowly becoming friends ever since you returned from Bangalore! Also, you are the only person other than me who interacts the most with her. So, please help me😳" Abhay requested.

Kunal did not know what to say but felt happy that Abhay wanted to be her friend even though she refused his proposal👏. He assured Abhay that he would try and talk to her.

Kunal went to Siddhi's cabin and walked in without knocking. Siddhi was signing some papers.

"I need to talk to you, Siddhi!😳" he said.

"Maam! Call me Siddhi maam!😉" she said with an attitude. "Its such a waste of my time trying to teach you manners!😆" She rolled her eyes and shook her head horizontally to show her disappointment and began working again.

Kunal couldn't resist himself. He loved this attitude of hers and once upon a time, she had managed to change him using this attitude. He fell head over heels for this girl then😳!

"Ok, if that's how you want it.. fine! Maam, I need to discuss something with you! Can we please go out for lunch this afternoon where we can talk? Maam😆?" he stressed!

"Why can't we discuss in the office, Mr.Chopra?😕" she mocked him with the same arrogance.

"Because it is personal and we should be not discuss anything personal in office" he striked back! "Is that a yes?" he asked as Siddhi was silent. "Ok, lets go out for lunch then!" He walked out of her cabin😉.

Siddhi wondered what he wanted to talk about over lunch. She was unable to concentrate on her work all afternoon!

At lunch time, Kunal took her to a restaurant which was close to their office and mainly served business meals as the place was surrounded by offices. It was a nice sheek place perfect for a business luncheon! When the waiter asked for their order, Kunal immediately ordered vegetarian meals for both! Siddhi tried to protest that he can have non-vegetarian meals but he insisted that he likes vegetarian food much better these days😳!

While they waited for their food, Siddhi asked Kunal, "What did you want to talk about?😕"

Kunal who was thinking about how to bring about the topic and when Siddhi suddenly asked him, he did not know what to say.. he suddenly blurted, "Why did you reject Abhay's marriage proposal?😳"

"What?😲 Kunal you brought me for lunch to ask about Abhay's proposal?😡" Siddhi asked him in a shocked tone.

"Yes. What did you think I was going to talk about🤔? Abhay is feeling really bad that you are ignoring and avoiding him. You should be nice to him. After all you do live in his house! I don't see why you had to reject him. He is a nice guy!😳" Kunal said provocatively.

Siddhi grew furious on hearing these words from Kunal! She raised her voice and said, "Why do you care, Kunal😡? Its my life and I will make my own decisions! Who are you to tell me how to run my life? Just because you have married someone, you need not advice me! That too after marrying the woman who destroyed not only yours but both our lives!"😡 She stopped! Tears started streaming down her face as she said these words😭. She knew she spoke too much. After all, Kunal was married to Richa and she had no right to say anything which would be bring problems in their married life. She stormed out of the restaurant.

Kunal felt aweful for hurting Siddhi so much. His lie about being married to Richa was having a brutal impact on Siddhi and he did not like it one bit. He knew she refused to marry Abhay because she still loved him but he needed more answers before he could clear her misunderstanding about his marital status😕. Her words about Richa being responsible for destroying their lives kept coming back to him but he had an important matter to attend to! His pretty wife was in tears because of him and he had to be there for her, pacify her!😳

He stood up to leave when the waiter brought the food to the table. Kunal asked him to pack the food.

Siddhi came crying into her cabin. She could not believe that Kunal had turned so insensitive towards her that he wanted her to marry another man!😭 She had begun to believe that Kunal still loved her and was not happy with Richa. But today Kunal's words hurt her more because she felt that he was happy with Richa. Otherwise, why would he advice her to marry Abhay. Siddhi put her head down on the table and cried uncontrollably as of the events that took place at the restaurant played in her mind.😭😭

After a couple of minutes, someone placed their hand on her shoulder. She looked up slowly and saw that there was food on her table and from the corner of her eye, she could see someone standing beside her. She lifted her face. With one hand on her shoulder, a smile on his face and a tissue in another hand, stood none other than the man she madly loved! Kunal Chopra!!😳😉
