dheem thana naahire..dheem dheem thana naahire..
dheem thana naahire..dheem dheem thana naahire..

Welcome to Thursday's Episode of PSK, PSK, PSK!!! Today our stars will be the lovely Yashoda, the calm Nanda, the silly Krishna, the scary Putana, and oh my god, I took a small break to look at the written update since I'm at work and figured I'd prepare a nice introduction for you guys and hahahahaha, we're back to square STUPID. Fasten your seatbelts, you're in for a hell of a tossing and turning episode.

So if you remember the last time we left off, Krishna and all the children of Gokul were in Putana's hut ready to chow down some yummy kheer. That's when the cows go cuckoo for crazy and create a ruckus. The children and Krishna hear this and they all rush to the stables. Well, all of them, except Govinda himself. Nope, he stays back because he wants to eat the kheer.

<Cows are mooing like crazy and here is little Krishna preferring to eat some kheer, yep. Well done.>

So Krishna tell Putana to give him some Kheer, but Putana is like "hell no kid. I have to wait for everyone." She thinks to herself that if she gives him the kheer and he dies from it, then her gig is up.

Krishna tricks Putana into telling her to go bring back the other kids otherwise they will be busy with the cows, and Putana does what the enemy of Bhagavan Kamsa orders. That's when Chuberino here decides to hog down ALL THE KHEER.

<Yep, that's the Krishna we all know. He'd rather eat alone than with his friends. BRAVO!>

That's when Vishnu smiles and Lakshmi looks worried.

Putana reaches the shed, tells the kids if they want the kheer, and everyone is like yeah! kheer! They reach the hut, but guess what! Kanha and the kheer are missing. (Kanha is sitting under a tree devouring the kheer).

They search and find Krishna unconscious on a rock. Everyone is shocked and begging Krishna to wake up. Putana believes she finally killed Krishna.

In a flashback (I'm not sure if the WU is like this or the show is that out of place), Vasudev is waking up young Devaki. She suddenly smiles and opens one eye, which shocks Vasudev. Devaki laughs and makes a fool out of Vasudev (har har har, that' so funny). They both laugh.

Krishna opens his eyes and laughs since everyone is worried, everyone starts to laugh except Putana, who is very angry and shocked. Krishna gets up and tells Putana that the kheer was nice, but not as good as Yashoda's butter.

<Now you're probably wondering what happened to Krishna. Maybe he was playing a game or something? Poison surely can't affect him right?>

Well let's go to Mr Vishnu for the explanation shall we?

In Vaikuntha, Narada is happy that Krishna did his work and ate the kheer, but wondered how Krishna's friends and everyone will know that they have been saved by Krishna who ate the kheer.

Vishnu says: Naradji, today Krishna did save his friends but he did not know there was poison in it. When a person does karma from his full heart, nothing happens to him.

Lakshmi then asks (oh for the sake of stupidity): Prabhu, Kanha ate the most dangerous poison in the world, that is kaal kuth poison. How did anything not happen?

<Maybe because he's actually Vishnu himself? Are you that damn daft woman. God dammit.>

Vishnu smiles and says the most stupidest bull crap ever: "Kanha did not know there was poison in it, when a person thinks it is poison then he will eat poison only. But Kanha thought it was kheer, so he ate kheer and not poison."

<ARE YOU FARKING KIDDING ME. I get the similarity in explanation between this and the actual breast feeding incident, but all this genius had to say was "Krishna saw that Putana wanted to give him kheer so he accepted the kheer happily along with the poison." No, you know what, this is a stupid explanation and doesn't deserve any sympathy. I need a scapegoat so I'm going to choose Namita. Namita - Don't read this part. Everyone else: So I'm going to poison Namita's food (something non-lethal of course since Namita's pretty chill), but nothing should happen because you know .. she doesn't know it's poison. Actually Namita - you've probably gone ahead and ignored me anyway, so I can't poison you anymore. Sorry 😆😆. At least in the case of Prahlad Maharaj, he offered it to Vishnu first. This kanha just stuff himself and survived -- not because you know he's god, nooo, it's because he's wasn't aware that it was poison. I guess that was pretty clear when they didn't show the four-armed form at birth, instead preferring the cloud man, but still...>

He continues with the whole "birth of kanha in this world has been made to remove all the poison from people's hearts and minds, adharma is gone, dharma is back .." and then he does shoots some Jadoo from his hand to earth.

Vasudev is pretty much sitting next to devaki and telling her to get up (not that important).

Precap: PUTANA IS NOT DEAD. Putana proclaims that she will come for and kill Krisna this time. She disguises herself as Rohini and creates a ring of fire around Krishna as he eats butter.

Hehehe I was thinking about who my my next victim was going to be and then I saw your name right below and I was like "muahahaha, Namita will now die!"
Anyway, since I'm at work, I wasn't able to do the rating and recommendations part. So here it is:

RATING: NEGATIVE 5/10

Reason 1: NO YASHODA (obviously :P)

Reason 2: DUMBEST EXPLANATION

Recommendation: HA OVER MY DEAD POISONED BODY ... OH WAIT, I WILL NEVER THINK OF POISON SO I CAN'T DIE. I'M IMMORTAL!! TAKE THAT INDRA, I'M COMING FOR YOUR THRONE. YOUR VAJRA CAN'T DO ANYTHING SINCE I REFUSE TO RECOGNIZE THE EXISTENCE OF YOUR VAJRA

(Yeah yeah yeah, I know I'm adding my own nonsense to what the show actually showed, but alls fair in nautecial nonsense.)

Speaking of which, INDRA, FACE MY SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTTTSS ASTRA!!!

Your updated was hilarious. Since, it's the first time for me I would have actually believed everything that is shown in this show but thanks to all the discussions I'm able to get to know the true story. Don't know if I should watch the next episode or skip it till Monday.

Can't help but admit that I appreciate the *idea* behind the flashbacks, establishing parallels between mother and son and forging a connection between them that way even though they're so far apart. But the whole made-up vegetative state thing puts a damper on it, as does the uber-stupid writing, unfunny and illogical even on its best days... does anyone read these scripts before they go ahead and film them?!!
Also HOLY CALF how is frigging Putna getting a 3rd week of airtime?!!!

Achcha, I was flicking through the episodes the other day, another this that caught my attention was Yashoda praying to 'Lord Satyanarayan'.

I thought he was a more recent deity?

I agree, the idea is good, but the layout is atrocious. If Devaki could feel what Krishna is going through it would have a greater effect versus what her current state.

For example, when Krishna became unconscious, Devaki would feel that internally. She would sense something was amiss and immediately start praying for the protection of her child. Then she would see that flashback of pranking Vasudev and she would feel some sort of relief believing that Krishna was pranking her as well or something. A small smile among tears would be perfect to capture their relationship with her either speaking or thinking in a low voice something like "Putra, why are you pranking your mother."

Of course, this shouldn't happen every time though, but if the writers experiment with different ways to approach this common idea of establishing parallels between mother and son, it would be much better.

That's one of the reasons why I don't like any Mathura scenes any more. Not only is it darker than it should be (ie. Prapti's Putana roop), but all it consists of is a) Devaki in her semi-coma state, b) Vasudev being angry most of the time, and fighting some sort of internal battle to reveal the truth to his wife, or c) some Bhagavan Kamsa BS.

Oh I agree 1000%, that would be my idea of ideal execution for the parallel concept too. It's not really doing the job of creating a connection between them if she's in an effing coma and not connecting to anything, period. From today's written update (particularly the precap), it looks like there's more bullshit to come on that front. The Prapti abuse irks me too, because a) it's super hard to watch, b) kans committed enough actual sins that there isn't a need to make him any worse, he's already as bad as can be, and c) it lays the groundwork for even more inaccuracies in the plot because it kind of makes it look like Kans was the one with the power in his relationship with Jarasandh when it was the other way around. I mean, Krishna has to fight him off 17 times because Asti and Prapti were on board with their husband's atrocities and mourned his death. If Kans treats them like this, what would prompt those battles in the future?
