Wow. A lot has happened in the past few episodes, and I am kind of surprised to see some of the reactions here.
I'm all for Raavi leaving the place because her character is questioned again. She's made her mistakes in naivety, but definitely not worth another humiliation. In her place, I'd leave too.
But Shiva doesn't deserve the hate that he's getting either At least not for this track (considering it separately from other tracks). Maybe it's my Type A personality, but I can't fault Shiva this time. He is not wrong from my perspective.
Hear me out.
We know about Raavi. We've seen both sides. In real life, if I were in Shiva's situation, there definitely would be a seed of doubt. The question is not about trust, but rather, blind trust. I have seen people around me blindly trusting someone- when it's obvious to others. I have been shocked to know about someone who I thought would be the last person to step out of marriage, failing my judgement. I hear talks about about the "exes" around me, and I am like the red flags were there when xyz happened.
Today, Shiva did not accuse Raavi on one thing or it's not like what happened with GaDha last year. He had enough reasons to question her. One or two things can be coincidence, but the likelihood for the amount that he's seen is very rare. He doesn't know about Shweta's planning. He had to have reached his limit for silence. Yes, I would have done it differently, but he's not wrong from the lenses that he's seen things. He feels betrayed and he feels humiliated. And any gaps that you see, that's poor writing. Dhara could have asked someone to Google PS #. They can get footage of the hospital, he can go talk to the doctor. But this is drama, and it will happen when they want to reveal Shweta's truth.
Local radio shows have "catch a cheater" segments, reddit has threads, and it's appalling the things you hear/read. Shit like this happens, and it happens more than one thinks. So if you were dealt with similar situation, where time after time, you continuously see the wrong picture, when is it appropriate for you to open your eyes and question things?
We all have criticized Shiva for his blind trust in GaDha. From our perspective, we feel that he's being taken advantage of, and should start questioning them. But from his pov, they've done a ton for him and could never be wrong (until this week's episodes). He's known them his whole life too and from his perspective, Dhara's baccha sacrifice is truly mahan (not my opinion), and she was with them from their lowest lows to highest high. So if you believe that's he's wrong for not trusting Raavi-even after all the things that he's seen, - how does it justify us wishing him to not blindly trust Dhara and question GaDha?
Again, yes, Raavi should leave. She should continue to work. But there is learning point for her too. Arnav has crossed boundaries and she needs to voice them- especially when she knows it's effecting her marriage. I would not be happy if my husband has a surgery and his coworker is there in the waiting room holding his hand when she has no business of even knowing that he had surgery - especially when I don't know. I wouldn't expect her to show up at my doorstep on Diwali/Christmas uninvited. So yes, boundaries have been crossed. She told him to stay out of their matter almost too late. She should have said that a while back.
Yes, he was wrong in questioning her in front of all when there was hacker. He was also wrong to give up on her when she got mad at him about it. Yes, Shiva was toxic during the IVF track, and I hate that this track is heading that way. But for me, Shiva is not wrong in the last couple of episodes.
What these two needs is a good conversation on communication, setting boundaries for themselves, family members, friends, and colleagues.
