Gender disparity and Conflict in narratives.

A little unrelated but another point of view:

1. Imagine if Bua Ji from Lipstick was a 60-year-old man leching over a 25-year-old girl

2. Imagine if Beena Tripathi was a man.

3. Imagine if Bulbul in Bulbul was a married man who opts for emotional infidelity because of being trapped in a toxic marriage.

Gender patterns matter a lot in narratives. Women’s moral ambiguity is often dealt with with empathy because of their lack of agency for centuries. You root for them because women as a gender have been subjected to domestication and abuse for centuries. Men operate from a space of privilege as hence narratives have more substantial moral fabric expectations from them, and rightfully so!

In short, there's no end to the discussion about right and wrong in narratives if you view them from a neutral standpoint. Narratives often trigger us because of our real-life experiences and a lack of agency over society as its prejudices against women!

Suman is a gone case and I've written her off. Likes Shiva's scene better than I thought while I read about it.

If only he could open his mouth and and say the same to durdasha and Suman. That divorce isn't done. He can't see another guy even meeting Raavi and here he's participating in a couples competition with another girl along with his wife and doesn't shrug her off when she touches and kisses him.

That part just rubs the wrong way and doesn't really allow me to enjoy it as much as I wish to though.

Looks like a lot of double standards going on. I don’t understand what the writers goal is . Is this the point that they are trying to make- that men have double standards? If this was some deep societal reflection thingy then yeah- it’s coming across loud and clear.

But otherwise - are they like tone deaf to the audience - like majority of the viewers are female and they show the FLs jealousy as a comedy. Clearly out of sync with audience feelings

So, I'm actually glad that Shiva chased away the london guy. 😆 He looks good but he does not look good with Raavi.🤪 I just want Shiva for Raavi and Raavi for Shiva, period.🐷😆

I was scrolling through her Insta posts to see what other shows she has acted in and came across a post last November where she talks about recovering from depression.

She did seem like she was coming out of some major problem. Could explain some of her issues with not being able to fit in.

Doesnot justify her preaching about the shallowness of the youth of today being inspired by reels etc. but does explain why she talks about being physically drained so quickly and life in the slow lane

Didn’t he want her to be happy, move on and marry a gentleman. Nishant seemed like a gentleman, atleast he was polite. Why did he chase him away?😕

Shiva wants Raavi to confess to him

Shiva wants Raavi to stop the divorce.

Shiva wants to make Raavi jealous (vishesh tippani from Rishita)

Shiva, I am sure expecting Raavi to chase away Disha

So what will Shiva Pandya do for their relationship to survive, chase away potential grooms for Raavi, that’s it? 😕
He did not even move when Disha came close to him, instead expected Raavi to beat Disha in the blindfold competition. How is it possible for Raavi to beat her when she was a step away and Disha was much closer to him?
