It all depends on the perspective and to which character you are more attached to.

Maximum people here have started watching the show post leap.shiva was a character that attracted many people including me.

He had a certain depth in his character.was he flawed? Definitely yes. But I have always liked flawed characters better than complete whitewashed characters.

As for supporting the characters is concerned.

People here have had very diverse opinions on the characters, especially in the current track.

Raavi was called out for her mistakes.

Shiva was called out for his mistakes as well.

Dhara was called out during the danda kaand.

Gombi was called out for hitting shiva.

Dev as a character is not liked by many due to obvious reasons.

Rishita is swinging like a pendulum, so opinions about her are varied as well.

Mistakes of every character is pointed out, but many are passionate about shiva due to KDs potrayal and how differently the character was written from other itv heroes in the Initial days.

So when he is wronged by people or his character is butchered by the writers,the reactions come out more strongly.

what?? shiva is no different than any itv ml he has always been your typical angry ml right from day 1 the ml who was actually different during initial days was gautaum gaumbi there was another char called karan from writers previous show who broke gender stereotype who was unique whose insecurities were potrayed beautifully who never felt the need to mistreat naina to show how bechara he is

and no people still try to justify shiva s behavior under garb of him being "awkward" "jealous" "treading on egg shells" nobody ever called him out on any of his mistakes the trauma that rishita suffered because of shiva and krish was in the same category of dhara beating them up still you dont see anyone holding that against them like they hold it against

about getting wronged? then everyone has been very patient with him from bhoot kand to kangaan kand to jeera kand gaumbi was always there to clean his mess when he sold his property off gaumbi understood that he is old enough to make decision everytime raavi berated him specially during pooja track it was gaumbi who asked everyone to give them space

dhara told rishita off for snooping around shiva s room dhara told mami for provoking him

and krish was always there part of every scheme along with shiva

shiva s family has been very patient with him right from start from giving up his education to selling his land off every decision of his has been accepted

only person who needs to be understood at this moment is raavi

shiva s problems are in his head his self-doubts are created by himself if only he would just talk everyone would listen but he refuses to take he absolutely refuses to see himself anything other than a failure

in all this collateral damage and still she is the one getting bashed nowadays

What is imp is , the writer managed to give a certain complexity to each other for us to discuss. If the graph is flat lined it's boring . Dhara and gombi are also flawed ..so is rishita dev..Shiva and raavi ,I lost interest frankly..too much toxicity and they can regress anytime...a love hate story is ok as long as love is there..I can see only hate.

i did not like shiva s behavior towards raavi since day 1 probably that s why i never i never was team shivi

exactly nowdays the show has reached some other level i have only recently started re-watching for gaura s pregnancy track having witnessed their journey since day so i want to be part of their new phase to these two character who have been suffering since first episodes have some moments of peace with their bundle of joy

So Anita is the helper? Does she know Dhara is pregnant? This is exactly what I didn’t want. Too dangerous. She won’t even hesitate to harm Dhara’s baby which is exactly what I didn’t want😕

So Why is Anita coming to the house when she has no direct relation with the Pandyas. Her relationship is through Mami and Raavi, both are staying away. Just because Suman cals her daughter and has no shame, comes back again and again😕

With raavi yes , he has been toxic always ..even if he was jealous , he had no reason to punish raavi for that..he punished her for being mami ki behen ki beti , he punished her for making him fall for her , he punished her for kangans , he punishes her for his frustration every single time.

if she didn't give attention to him, it's bec of his crude behavior , probably this pushed her more towards dev who protected her from.shivas wrath..they didn't show much of their childhood I jealousy ques is of syllabus..I remember one scene where she laughed at him when mami slipped due to marbles which he scattered on floor. Woh has rahi hai toh bhi gussa hai ye bhai sahab

Post marriage,Jab kabhi acha kiya nai uske saath woh bechari kahan se pyar dikhaye ye respect kare ya stand le? She also spits venom when he is in front of her..everyone has a threshold n hers was crossed in the mandir..

In all other shows where there r aggressive mls, agreed they are as toxic as one can be , but at some point they also start reflecting on their behavior n regret it....Shiva has not once did it , n specially now when he claims to be in love..she is hurt but he is unaffected. Although dhara said raavi has fallen in love with him, her love will be More of Stockholm syndrome , till he learns to behave

Don't think they will call Anita.. she might know about dharas pregnancy though..but I think suman will create an issue out of it and force rishita to give up her job dream. If rishita doesn't budge , the only other option is raavi. They will create a reason for her to return..n she will.happily do it for dhara di. Haan they can keep a caretaker ..let's see 😆 Dhara ka shuru ho jayega phir..an outsider can't take care of ma like we do blah blah

I feel shiva was different because he was not a typical hero who hated the heroine without any reason or wanted to make things difficult for her or revenge marriage scenario.his reactions were a result of raavi's provocation.his hatred had a reason.he simply wanted raavi to stay away from his family due to her relation with maami.she didn't do that and came in his way everytime Which led to their banters.

I can't be cordial with a relative's son or daughter who has wronged my family.so I get him.

I get uncomfortable seeing violence on screen.one or two slaps is fine, but continuous beating till the stick breaks was not acceptable to me.more than dhara, I blame the writers because that was completely against her nature.she had always protected shiva and Krish from getting beaten.i remember a childhood scene where she shielded shiva when gombi was about to slap him because he misbehaved with maami.she had reprimanded shiva when he slapped Krish for smoking a cigarette.she had clearly said there are other methods for making people understand rather than slapping.this is the problem I have with makers, they shape up a character a certain way from day one and then make her do scenes that are completely against her Nature.

As far as raavi is concerned, I feel for her too.she has been wronged by every person she trusted.she had her share of mistakes, but I get her hurt too.

As far as gombi is concerned, of course he is a good character.there is no doubt in that.but like I said, I prefer layered and flawed characters than white ones.that is a personal choice.

I am not happy with Shiva's potrayal now.many people who loved shiva initially are not.i would wait to see how the story goes.

At the end of the day its an ensemble cast.people will have favorites.people will enjoy watching certain characters more than the others.people will like certain couple more than the other.

To each his own.you can love gombi, I can love shiva and we both can enjoy watching pandya store if the story is good.

that s the entire shiva s hatred for raavi had no reason whatsoever she never provoked infact he was the one who provoked her she never caused any harm to pandya fam she had a nice bond with gombi dhara dev and even krish prior to her wedding

shiva is not the sole member of pandya fam neither is he eldest so he does not gets to decide who can or cannot connect with them raavi never came to meet him she always came to meet dev/dhara

if grown 25 something mam actually cant differentiate between maami and raavi then that is his problem not hers not devs not dharas not gombis

plus child shiva had no problem with anita up until marriage fiasco only raavi that goes on to how unreasonable his hatred for raavi has been always

if i buy someone a t-shirt as token of goodwill and he tries to through brick at me it does not means i provoked him it only means that the other person is being toxic for no reason

I view him as someone who was looking out for his family, who was deeply affected and hurt by maami's doings, who was very blunt and didn't sugarcoat his words or actions, who married a girl who was madly in love with his brother without any questions asked just for his bhabi and brother.

I have not only loved shiva and raavi individually as characters, but shivi chemistry also was a factor that hooked me to the show.

Because however good a story is, however well written the dlgs are, I can't connect if the actors don't have a crackling chemistry.shivi had that, especially in the pre wedding scenes.

Shiva gets called out a lot for his toxic masculinity all the time, and I am the first one to call him out.

Today his anger made him look like a feral animal, and it was scary but cancelling him while giving a leeway to all other violent beatings is behind me!

He has been beaten black and blue by every person, even for a prank. His wife walked out ad slapped him. He deserves all the punishment he is getting. No defense for his tomfoolery or toxicity!

His wife is divorcing him as calls him an animal. Aur kya punishment denge is admi ko.

He has to evolve and find his redemption. That's a journey he has to take.
