As someone who has sort have been a former rebel, Iāve been through a lot (and I mean a lot) of tough times with my parents. If you do have a similar situation, definitely be strict but perhaps kind and gentle as well. Thereās a lot of reasons behind oneās need to rebel and if you donāt care for the root cause itāll never be fixed. I wonāt dive into much details as it is a very sore topic for me but my parents didnāt give me the consideration I needed at that time and honestly it was the worst thing I could have ever gone through. The way I was treated (nothing physical of sorts) - I wish that upon no child or anyone for that matter, which is why I am always quick to rise to the defense of my younger sister. I, of course, can never imagine what my parents went through themselves and my situation probably took a heavy toll on them as well which is why I have long since forgiven them but I have never forgotten the way they made me feel. The bitterness I carry, one that I cannot shake no matter what, is not something any parent would wish for their child to feel. I canāt help it and I canāt get rid of it - and sometimes I feel so guilty for feeling the way I do because they have done so much for me and I am so grateful for them but they have in someway scarred in a way that no one deserves and you canāt get past that.
side note: I fulfilled my quota of rebelling before I turned 18 and moved to another state for college which is why my parents donāt have to worry about me now that I live away from them š
so this suddenly has gotten me super senti and I will now be referring to some rohit sippy scenes to lighten my mood š

You don't need feel guilty. I absolutely agree that every rebel kid or person has a back story to it. That's why I said about parents being friendly and strict in right measures in my previous post. Honestly, it's good that you forgive your parents because they are also not completely at fault. Like marriage, parenting is also an ever learning process, nobody knowz how to be a good parent from the word go. Everyone has their hits and misses.
Forgiveness is the first step to let go of all the inhibitions that your mind has. It will make things better for you gradually. I hope I made sense, I'm no expert in giving such advice.
The difference in camera quality and cinematography from that show on that TV, SGP and shows right now is so hugeeeeee
That too within the span of 10-15 years
