Whatever you do, don’t get them a phone in middle school, that’s when it all starts, they will get peer pressured, bullied but don’t deter. You support them, tell them to use your phone but get them their own only in HS. I did not get any pushbacks from my kids. That in itself was a big relief for me.

I was the first one to get a cell phone in ninth

But it was that nokia early version used only for calling and bounce.

School was far and I had to call brothers to pick me up after school. So phone became necessary.

But Never did all these dhamaka with it🤣

SM was only a couple years ago

We had a desktop at home (we still have), all the browsing and assignments stuff was done on that, we have a telephone, I remember I spoke to my friends in that, so basically nothing is hidden, everything was on monitor. I didn't have a phone until I started my college. Now that we live in UAE, I've seen most my friends already spoilt enough due to excessive use of phone (I use mum's phone at home but still) I've seen all my juniors have apple phones and them flaunting it, it bugs me to another level. I still know so many nibbis from my school, like a sixth standard kid has a boyfriend, instagram account 🙃 They find it fancy...

No phone for them is already decided. Apart from me all the kids in fam got them in 12th and degree.

My friend in school had a lot of restrictions at home, more than me if I may say so. But she was those rebel kinds ans spoilt kid. She used have boyfriends since I guess 8th grade or so.. and one of her boyfriend gave her a phone to talk to him at odd hours.. and that phone was a secret.. nobody in her house knew she had a phone 🤣
