My kids are 14 and 16. My oldest one was the last kid to get a cell phone in High School. Infact I got a call from tje school counselors that I need to get him a phone😕
My younger one is stepping into HS next month, she will get her phone a week before her school starts. Again she will be the last one to get in her batch of students.
Our only rule is no SM platforms and I have monitoring app set up so I know exactly what they browse or which sites they go to😕
This will continue to happen until they are 18 and go off to college.
That's how it should be Prema. I remember I got my first phone when I entered 11th grade, which was the normal keypad nokia phone not even smart phone, that too because I had to go to distant places for my coaching classes. And I'm glad I've lived those years off the phone.
These days these young kids are getting access to these gadgets mainly because of the online education system and online schools due to the pandemic, but the use needs to be monitored by the parents only and I don't get why these parents make these 10 years olds watch these serials, these shows are not meant for the kids. Even if the mothers watch, they should watch it separately from the kids. These shows, however we may like it, do have bad effects on the children.
