Part 2
After having a fight with Raavi, Shivacame to the living area and found Dhara and Gaumbi talking.
‘Dhara Janardhan ki vajah se ab humenaye wholesalers chahiye honge. Dev or Shiva ki nayi nayi shadi hui hai mainnahi chahta itne lambe time tak vo bahar rahe. Kisko bheju? Mujhe bhi yaha kamhai zaruri.’ Gautam said all tensed.
‘Dekhte hai Gaumbi tension mat lo tum’Dhara replied.
‘Main chala jaunga Gaumbi’ Shiva spokeintervening.
‘Shiva hafte ke liye jana hai waqt lagjayega. Tu rehne de.’ Gautam spoke.
‘Acha hai. Is Raavi se dur rehne kayahi tareeka hai’ he thought to himself. ‘Koi baat nahi. Main chala jata hu yehbhi zaruri hai.’ he said.
‘Shiva..’ Gaumbi started to say only tobe cut by Shiva ‘Gaumbi sach mein. Koi problem nahi hai main ho aunga. Main tyarikarta hu, dukan se hi nikal jaunga’ saying so he left the from their.
Later that day Shiva went out ofSomnath in hope of getting away from Raavi.
The whole week went by in missing Raavimore, usually he misses his family whenever he was out but this time he missedRaavi the most. She called him but he didn’t picked up her call as he didn’twant to talk to her. He completed his work and returned back early.
He returned very early in the morning,Dhara opened the door and greeted him. He straight away went to his room. Hecan lie to the whole world but not to himself, he missed his wife a lot. Heopened the door and thankfully it was not locked, he came to her and lied downon his side.
He was admiring her sleeping self, herface was a bit pale and eyes had also turned a shade darker. The radiance wasmissing from her face yet she looked beautiful to him.
His session was disturbed when he felther stir in her sleep, he closed his eyes. Next what happened shocked him.
He felt her hand on his cheek andcaressed his whole face, this created havoc in his body. He thought she woke upand heard her complaining to him. But soon there was no voice, he opened hiseyes to find her sleeping again and that’s the time when he noticed her wearinghis shirt. He was getting shock after shock, firstly she was dreaming of himand then she wore his shirt to bed. What was happening? Wasn’t this the forcedmarriage for her. Maybe she was just habitual to him, but then the shirt?
He was highly confused and instead ofconfronting her he left the room, took a bath and left the house telling dharahe was going to store.
He sat in the storeroom, because he wasin no mood of facing the world, exactly no one knew that he was here.
He felt Kaka coming to the store thenRaavi coming, her chirpy voice makes him so happy but he knew she deservedbetter. He sat there thinking about any way to get things better and freeher.
Suddenly he heard a boy’s voice and gotalerted, he was talking to his wife and he also also heard Sneha. His bloodboiled but the thing that shocked him was Raavi was shouting, he got up andmoved closer to see what was happening.
He was shocked to see Raavi fightingwith both of them, he was happy yet sad that she too had become like him.Gundi.
She was about to hit them when he ranto save them, she was fighting for him but he had to save them first. He pickedup gripping her stomach. At first she was annoyed ‘Kiski itni himat mujhe hathlagane ki’ he heard her say but the moment she realised it was him she calmeddown.
He was confused, was she so comfortablewith him that she didn’t mind him holding her? He could witness the happinessin her eyes. ‘Shivaa. Mera sapna toh nahi?’ He heard her say and glimpses fromthe morning flashed in front of his eyes but he didn’t want to respond hescolded her lightly and boom she was back to her angry self.
For him it didn’t matter if someonecalled him a junglee but this bothered her and that’s the reason she wasfighting with them. He was stopping her.
But the moment they called his Raavi ajunglee he lost it, how dare they call her a junglee. Say whatever to him butdon’t go to his chipkali.
They left and he felt her encircle herarms around his neck
‘Shivaa. Tu aa gaya. Pata hai aaj himujhe tera sapna aya’ she hugged him tightly.
He smiled hearing her innocent talk. Hetoo felt like hugging her back but before it could happen he heard someoneclearing their throat.
Krish stood on the entrance seeing hisbhai bhabhi hugging each other. ‘Aap log continue kar sakte ho, bas main khanadene aya tha. Breakfast kar lena.’
He was about to leave when he turnedand said ‘Bhabhi aaj toh bhar pet khana khana apka Shiva aa gaya aj.’
Raavi blushed. Shiva asked confused‘Matlab?’
‘Matlab yeh ki is hafta Raavi bhabhi nedhang se khana nahi khaya, vaise tujhe dekhkar bhi nahi lag raha Shiva ki tunekhana dhang se khaya. Dono khao ache se. Main chalta hu’ he ran out before anyof them could smack him.
Raavi looked at him and he looked paleand weak. ‘Shiva aaja khana khale.’
Shiva was shocked to know that shedidn’t eat properly this week, that's why she looked pale. He obliged to whatshe said, forgetting everything else for the time.
They had their breakfast in peacestealing glances. Raavi ate very little and said ‘Ho gaya mera.’
‘Tujh jaisi dinosaur ke liye itna khanatoh bas starters hai. Kha chup chap or.’ Shiva said, putting some more on herside.
Raavi made a pout ‘Nahi khana mujhe or’but he gave her a deathly glare and she obliged. She put some more on his sidetoo and said ‘Finish kar tu bhi.’ she said authoritatively and heobliged.
Raavi knows the only person who canforce her is he, he challenges her to move forward in life, no one can do that.
And same goes with him only she canboss around him except his bhabhi. Noone has the power to play with this fireand Raavi grew up playing with this fire.
They were done with breakfast whenShiva started doing work and Raavi was wrapping the tiffin sitting on thefloor.
Prafulla came and spoke ‘Hey merabhogilal. Meri bachi ko naukar bana dia. Ae Shiva tujhse shadi karke meri betiki zindagi barbad ho gayi, teri tarah vo bhi naukrani ban chuki hai. Khud tohkiryane ki dukan hai hi ise bhi bana dia.’ she said to Shiva. ‘Ae Raavi tu chalna. Chod ise or ghar chal’
Shiva who started to behave normal wentto his angry self, his insecurities flew in. and Raavi cursed her maasi forsaying all those things.
‘Maasi aap jao yaha se please. Kya jabdekho aap mere pati ko bolti rehti ho. Main apko akhri baar bol rahi hu agaraapne Shiva ko kuch bhi kaha toh main rishta khatam kar dungi aapse’ she spokein anger.
Prafulla started to say something butRaavi showed her the way outside.
Raavi turned to Shiva to talk but hedidn’t listen to her and instead left the store. ‘Kya kar rahe ho Bholenaath.Kyu tadpa rahe ho?’ she talked to her Bholeneth tears flowing down her eyes.
The whole day went by and he didn’treturn back to the store, she worked at the store and prayed to God to makethings alright. She decided tonight will be the deciding night, either theywill be together forever or will part their ways because she can’t live likethis.
Shiva felt really bad hearing hismaami, she was right her daughter’s life was destroyed. He didn’t feel likereturning to the store so sat on his favourite spot; on the tree. The whole dayhe thought about what should be done and finally he came to a conclusion thathe will free Raavi from this relationship.
He returned home a bit late hopingRaavi to be asleep but was startled to see Raavi awake in the room waiting forhim. He ignored her and walked towards the wardrobe.
Raavi felt the room open and saw himcoming inside, he was late but she waited for him. Anger took over all theemotions when he walked off ignoring her, she got up and latched the door.
‘Shiva mujhe tujhse baat karni hai’Raavi spoke, getting his attention.
‘Bol’ Shiva spoke not looking at her,he kept doing his work which pissed Raavi more. Raavi held his arm and made himface her ‘Shiva yeh kaam intezar kar sakta hai. Tu bhi janta hai jo baat mujhekarni hai vo important hai’
He spoke giving in ‘Bol kya baat hai.’
‘Kya chahta hai Shiva? Or kyu kar rahahai yeh sab? Pehle bina bataye chale jana or ab yeh ignorance. Kyu kar rahahai?’
‘Dekh Raavi tu bhi janti hai sab kuchtoh natak mat kar jaise tujhe farak padta hai. Or main chahta hu ki tu jayaha se, ja apni maasi ke ghar.’ he spoke.
‘Kyu jau main Shiva? Shadi hui haihamari, biwi hu main teri’ Raavi spoke.
‘Zabardasti ki shadi, majburi mein biwibani hai tu meri. Kaha gentleman chahti thi or kaha mujhe jaisi kiryane kidukan mil gayi. Tujhe dikh nahi raha kya? Tu bhi mere jaisi janglee ho gayi haiRaavi, mujh jaisa torture tu deserve nahi karti. Tu gulaab ki khusboo hai Raavior main tel masalo ki smell hu, koi mel nahi hai hamara.’
‘Urghhh kya tel masale laga ke rakhahai? Ruk yahi’ she was frustrated. She left the room and came back with aplate.
‘Yeh kya hai raavi?’ he asked, lookingat the plate full of spices. The plate had oil, red chilly, turmeric and fewother spices.
She looked at him with anger and pouredthe full plate on herself. Shiva was shocked ‘Ae gadhedi kya kar rahi hai yeh?’
‘Ban gayi Shiva ab main bhi tere jaisi.Tel masalo vali’ Raavi roared. Her skin was burning with red chillies but shedidn’t care.
‘Kya harkat hai yeh Raavi? Kitna jalraha hoga?’ he said with pain in his voice. He could feel her skin burning butnothing was visible on her face except anger.
‘Ha Shiva bahut jal raha hai. Lekinmera dil’ she said intently.
‘Kya bole ja rahi hai tu? Ruk tu yahi’he stormed out of the room and bought a bucket of water and towel ‘Baith idhar’he said.
‘Mujhe kahi nahi baithna Shiva. Jawabde meri baat ka, ho gayi ab main tere jaisi. Ab toh mel hai na hamara?’ sheasked looking in his eyes. She could see the pain in his eyes though his voicewas filled with anger.
‘Bakwas mat kar. Abhi saaf karva’ Shivaordered. He tried to get hold of her but again she jerked his hand. ‘NahiShiva. Aaj ya toh chize aar hongi ya phir paar. Ya toh husband ki tarah haq semera dhyan rakh nahi toh koi rishta rakhne ki zarurat nahi, yeh khokli dushmanika bhi nahi’ she spoke.
‘Raavi kyu nahi samajh rahi tu? Tu nahihai aisi? Or main tere jaisa nahi ban paunga, please samajh baat ko or yehrishte se nikal ja’ he literally pleaded to her.
Main sahi nahi hu tere liye, jal jayegiagar mere saath rahi toh. Dekh is baat ka example tune khud ko hurt kar liya.’he continued, pain visible in his voice and eyes.
‘Kisne kaha Shiva ki tu sahi nahi haimere liye? Kon hai itna important jiski baat meri baat se zada important hai’she asked.
‘Sab log. Vo Sneha, mami.’ he spoke. Heagain tried to wipe off the spices but she jerked her arms.
‘Shiva bahut zaroori hai kya vo log?Jinki baat meri baat se ya tere parivaar ki baat se zaruri hai? Tujhe bhi yahilagta hai Shiva?’ she asked the last line in a hope.
He said after taking a deep breath ‘ha.Mujhe bhi lagta hai hum sahi nahi hai’
‘Thik hai Shiva. Ab tujhe meri parwahkarne ki zarurat nahi hai’ she took the towel from his hand and wiped thespices off her arms and face. ‘Le shiva kar dia maine Saaf. tu jo chahta tha voho gaya, ab mat pareshan hoio.’ she said.
She got up and opened thewardrobe and took out a diary and handed it to him. ‘Bahut shaunk hai na Shivadiaries padne ka. Yeh pad jo actually tujhe padne ki zarurat hai. Or main jarahi hu yaha se, apne ghar vapis.’ she said.
‘Itni raat ko? Safe nahi hai’ Shivasaid. She pointed her hand towards him ‘Bas Shiva. Kaha tha na aar ya paar.Main bhi tujhe azzad karti hu, ab yeh Raavi jiye ya mare koi matlab nahi honachahiye tujhe usse.’ she said and was about to leave but turned ‘OR ha Shivaafsos mat kario apne is faisle par kyuki yeh tera faisla hai, yeh teri marzihai. Meri nahi’ she murmured the last words merely in a whisper but loud enoughfor him to listen. She left.
