What's with the strange obsession of Hindi TV shows with Punjabification of the cultural nuances. I love the Bhangras, Giddas and Tapes but showing these dancing chops amidst the rich backdrop of a Gujrati family Pagphera custom in the name of Garba is downright problematic!
The dancing looked unreal at it's best. Where are the Navratri catchy songs? Kamariya, Chogada, Dholida, Dholida Dhol are Waghaad! So many colourful pieces could be done.
I am sucker for cultural nuances and believe that in as we are progressing, some of these are getting lost! They could have made them wear some traditional Gujrati outfits to celebrate in The Haveli. The whole Rasam looked like a freaking joke.

That is so true.. those punjabi songs look so out of the place particularly when the show is about a gujrati family and they are supposed to perform traditional garba. That's why I found the whole dance thing to be so blah and I was too bored of it.
I love how slowly everyone's saying how much they enjoyed the dance š¤£š¤£š¤£.
