Interesting. I didn’t know about the different familial relations in Tamil version. So far, for the most part, things are well balanced in the show. I feel all warm and fuzzy seeing the different family relations. Even Maami fighting for the orphan girl she raised was amazing to see, considering she was full fledged negative some episodes back 👌

I miss Raavi’s chirpy cuteness. Hope that comes back and Rishita also turns lighter and more secure in the household. I think hers and Gaumbi’s would be a special relationship ❤️

There are grey characters in the original as well, Anita in the original is grey, but not vicious and she is married to Dhara's older brother. Also relationships are portrayed slightly differently there. Dhara and Raavi in the original are related through Raavi's mom's side and she is not an orphan, as portrayed here, her parents are very much alive. Her mother is mami to all the brothers, but she is completely positive now, has accepted Shiva-Raavi marriage in the original. They have definitely made changes to relationship chart to suit Gujarati culture/custom here.

Rishita's character is the only outsider in that family, hence took a while for her to adjust but I tell you to meet her every request and demand, they come to a middle ground and every problem is shown to be handle with open communication and there is no hiding the information from the other person. There are several saas-bahu shows with full on negativity, but there is nothing wrong in a show with positivity that connected close to reality.

I still watch the original show in tamil, still going strong and top 5 in the Trp chart in the state after 615 episodes, Rishita's character in the original has the best character progression ever. Initially she had problems with everybody in the house just like this version. She was rude, disrespectful, jealous of Raavi's character, insecure but the family slowly helped adjust very well, at the same time respect her so much. She has the best chemistry with everyone in the house now, witty, comical, puts her points across very convincingly, gets everybody on board with her suggestions, still doesn't cook or doesn't do any household chores, but the other 2 bahus don't mind that anymore😆very inquisitive and reads every body's mind voice perfectly. The family now has come to a point that their life would be boring without her. Though her father Janardhan, finally accepted their marriage after 2 years (couple has a baby now), he still gives problems to them and the PS family. The brothers don't have to confront him anymore she stands up against her own father for the family's sake. With all the positive changes, the audience still like her a lot, she brings full on entertainment.

I want to see that in this version. Rishita's character has a great potential from being a selfish, bratty, disrespectful girl to becoming the most likable character. I also heard that few other regional versions have turned her into a vamp, which I definitely don't want to see here. I am scared that hindi TRP audience want more drama. I sincerely hope the makers of this version stick to the premise of the original series and for a change continue to give us a family story full of positivity, logic and energy unlike the usual separation, remarriage, vamps creating havoc. There are other shows to do that. Let this show be unique and fulfilling.

Man, I love Meena in Pandian Stores! Her character was kinda brattish to begin with, but now, she along with Mullai loves the family and she has an amazing character arc! I especially like her rapport with Mullai, considering they hated the sight of each other in the beginning.

I like how she stood up to her father in one of the recent storylines, the one involving her aunt. It showed how much she really cares for the family.

I agree! Love Meena(Rishita) As you said her relationship with Mullai(Raavi) is amazing, they bicker, argue but at the end of the day support each other. Her relationship with Kathir(Shiva) has improved tremendously. They are making small conversations too, She loves the family and most importantly she loves Jeeva(Dev) very much and is willing to adjust/compromise at the same time never lets go of her demands😆her latest one is to get a car😆.

The other thing I like about the original is that the ladies of the house are very much involved in the business and they have a family meeting to discuss ways to improve the business. The ladies do take turn to sit in the shop and help the men. Also in the initial episodes they were asked to learn to ride a 2 wheeler. You remember that Mullai (Raavi) was the only one who didn’t know and quietly Kathir (Shiva) taught her without the family knowing about it and finally the family were excited that she got her license. The track was interesting and the scenes between them (Kathir-Mullai) were amazing😃

Raavi will get there but not sure she will be jhalli, running around, carefree. She will be happy again, content, become little more mature now that she is married but what they showed in the original was that Raavi slowly starts accepting the relationship and starts working towards the marriage and love. She was the first one to fall in love in the original and worked hard to break through layers of Shiva. You have to remember that Shiva in the original is completely like Shiva here. There are only 3 common things between them

Family love, bonding and both consider their Bhaiyya and Bhabi as Gods, will do anything for his brothers and the family

Insecurity

Enmity towards Mami

Otherwise Kathir is much more difficult, would hardly talk to anybody or share his feelings, but since has come a long way.

Here we have Shiva who already has a soft corner towards Raavi which we have been seeing in the past few episodes. He has accepted his marriage and but definitely hiding his feelings, built a wall around himself, more guarded because he thinks he is not good enough for Raavi. This is where Raavi has so much work to do. Otherwise he is like a live wire ready to burst anytime. It would be interesting to see who will in fall love first and whether Raavi will be able to help Shiva come out of his insecurity.

SAME! Rishita has been annoying and rude but she's not evil. The way she added the yaar part to her sorry, it showed that she actually meant it. I don't think she'll be all friendly the whole time, there'll be more bumps ahead but she has alot to work with. It's exciting. I'm hoping she and Raavi have laughter amongst themselves because tbh I've been a little drained watching both Rishita pissed off and Raavi crying constantly.

Simran as Rishita is doing a great job too! ❤
