Looking forward to Rishita’s character arc

I really loved the way Rishita understood Gaumbi’s words and apologised. Want her to stop being a mean girl and become a strong one instead. Someone who puts forth opposing opinions but respectfully, so that ITV mein they don’t stereotype a new generation girl like her ❤️

It was also quite sweet the way she said “Sorry yaar” to Raavi. That made it personal and dil se. Hoping they begin bonding and Rishita joins the plot to unite ShiVi.

I also await the day Rishita, despite having different opinions, stands up for the family against others. That family bonding has always been a USP of the show and I want her to slowly but surely move towards that feeling of togetherness. Much like Shiva for Raavi. “Aap log ko taane maarne ka haq sirf mera hai. Aur koi bol ke toh dekhe meri family ke baare mein.”

It’s an arc I am much looking forward to as I always enjoy seeing a growth in characters, instead of typical negative behaviour

I second that. Rishita's changes will be slow, due to her bratty nature, different lifedtyle and the fact that others all knew each other for the longest of time.

It was heartening to see her calmly listening to Gaumbhi.

She can definately be friendly with Raavi, we saw a glimpse in busride- Though she'll need to work on her own insecurities!

If at all she can strike a chord with Shiva, will be great watch!

Credit also goes to Simran- Who plays Rishita. She is doing full justice to character!

Her scream & reaction post Kesar was great.

And today her bit hesitant at first but later understanding expressions changes of Rishita were on the spot!

Rishita up until now had been extremely annoying and a little hateful tbh, but after today, it is confirmed what all of us had already suspected. She is going have beautiful growth in character and definitely on the path of improving❤️

Yes! That's the beauty of PS. Usually itni jaldi baat samajh nahi aati TV characters ko but Rishita understood what Gautam was saying and even Gautam explained beautifully without scolding or taunting

Gaumbi was right. He could explain it so calmly to Rishita because he wasn’t present there. I’m kinda glad Shiva wasn’t the first one to know this, because he would’ve reacted very differently and we wouldn’t have gotten Dev-Shiva or Rishita-Gaumbi-Dhara-Raavi reconciliation.

I liked how she understood Gaumbi and said sorry to both Gaumbi and Dhara. It was a beautiful scene. Her apology to Raavi was also like that of a friend. Let’s see what happens tomorrow, whether or not Raavi accepts it.

Agreed. Shiva would have reacted aggressively and worsened the situation. Now Rishita is being explained to so calmly by Gaumbi, making her feel understood and even, wanted in the house. She is an insecure person and lashes out because of that. Hopefully, we will see a positive change in dynamics soon ❤️

I still watch the original show in tamil, still going strong and top 5 in the Trp chart in the state after 615 episodes, Rishita's character in the original has the best character progression ever. Initially she had problems with everybody in the house just like this version. She was rude, disrespectful, jealous of Raavi's character, insecure but the family slowly helped adjust very well, at the same time respect her so much. She has the best chemistry with everyone in the house now, witty, comical, puts her points across very convincingly, gets everybody on board with her suggestions, still doesn't cook or doesn't do any household chores, but the other 2 bahus don't mind that anymore😆very inquisitive and reads every body's mind voice perfectly. The family now has come to a point that their life would be boring without her. Though her father Janardhan, finally accepted their marriage after 2 years (couple has a baby now), he still gives problems to them and the PS family. The brothers don't have to confront him anymore she stands up against her own father for the family's sake. With all the positive changes, the audience still like her a lot, she brings full on entertainment.

I want to see that in this version. Rishita's character has a great potential from being a selfish, bratty, disrespectful girl to becoming the most likable character. I also heard that few other regional versions have turned her into a vamp, which I definitely don't want to see here. I am scared that hindi TRP audience want more drama. I sincerely hope the makers of this version stick to the premise of the original series and for a change continue to give us a family story full of positivity, logic and energy unlike the usual separation, remarriage, vamps creating havoc. There are other shows to do that. Let this show be unique and fulfilling.

Oh good! That sounds wonderful! I would love to see this kind of character progression. May our show run for 600+ episodes too without compromising on story quality. This show seems to have their villains and do away with them too. For example, Suman and Maami‘s characters started out negative but now are more grey, even turning positive in certain situations.

I truly hope that Rishita isn’t turned into a vamp and kept atleast grey, if not positive. The Tamil version sounds pretty fun! Would love to see this kind of realistic progression

There are grey characters in the original as well, Anita in the original is grey, but not vicious and she is married to Dhara's older brother. Also relationships are portrayed slightly differently there. Dhara and Raavi in the original are related through Raavi's mom's side and she is not an orphan, as portrayed here, her parents are very much alive. Her mother is mami to all the brothers, but she is completely positive now, has accepted Shiva-Raavi marriage in the original. They have definitely made changes to relationship chart to suit Gujarati culture/custom here.

Rishita's character is the only outsider in that family, hence took a while for her to adjust but I tell you to meet her every request and demand, they come to a middle ground and every problem is shown to be handle with open communication and there is no hiding the information from the other person. There are several saas-bahu shows with full on negativity, but there is nothing wrong in a show with positivity that connected close to reality.
