Hahaha Yeaah, Hotstar doesn’t have subtitles for the Tamil version. But it’s take an different route in terms of situation and scenes. Also, there would be a huge cultural shift, so I don’t think they could go by that from now.

I tried watching too. I don’t understand the language. I couldn’t understand anything 😆

Experiment was abandoned 😆

The reason why I loved Pandian Stores so much is that none of the characters are negative. They all have their motivations and wishes, and I loved how natural everything was portrayed. Even someone like Rishita (whom we are all hating on) was someone you couldn't help but feel sympathetic and root for. Seeing the first few episodes post-leap, I had high hopes that they mostly follow the original, but it does seem like Rishita is becoming irredeemable as the days pass.

My regional version also failed in that Rishita essentially was portrayed to be a negative character (even to this day), and honestly, that really ruins the family dynamics and balance because it's making me wonder why Dev was so attracted to her in the first place if she blatantly disrespects his family.

I really hope the slot change doesn't change too much, but considering how much they are focusing on ShiVi (as much as I love them, I do want to see more of GauRa and Dev/Rishita and Krish), it does seem like they are following the TRPs.

And there was just something about this misunderstanding that did not sit well with me. I think there could be a wide range of misunderstandings (in my regional, the misunderstanding occurred after Raavi introduced Shiva to her friends with her friends commenting how he was a gawar/uneducated, burly, smelly dude, and Shiva tears up over how he never wanted any of this, being insulted or being in a loveless marriage), but for some reason, it just didn't work. Throughout the entire episode, I just wanted Shiva to tell Raavi why he left her alone, but he didn't! I don't know, hopefully the reconciliation will be good!

Agreed, Risitha in the Tamil version is no doubt selfish but after a point she loves the family and beings to think about them as well. Her dynamics with Dhara is a good example.

About this MU, I agree it didn't sit well with me either. Basically, it just heightens the tension between the two. But I think in the Tamil version, there is this epi after the wedding where Shia leaves Raavi in the middle of the road after a fight. I think they took that and built a bigger story around it.

I am still holding out a little bit of hope for Risitha. Ik it's foolish.

Also, are you talking about the Kannada version or the Telugu version ? (if you don't mind me asking)

It made sense for Dev to be the one to untie her since thats been his role since childhood, the saviour. So he doesn’t give it a second thought. And because he saved her, it was good to see that she still moved towards Shiva instead of lingering next to Dev.

Then the confrontation, I loved the way Dhara, Suman and Dev supported Shiva. And they way they convinced her makes me hopeful that they will be able to get these two to understand and love each other in the coming days.

And it wasn’t as if Shiva was silent the whole time listening to her, he was being himself, not wanting to explain what he did and show off to everyone. He was never one for vain publicity.

I LOVED that Raavi stayed back despite everything.

As for the precap, I think that the I hate uou that Raavi says maybe a dream. I am hoping it is cause she seemed so clear with her words. I don’t know, I could be wrong.

I loved the episode too!! I think we should all keep an open mind when discussing the episodes here...initially reading the discussions, I felt like not watching, but it turned out to one of the most realistic episodes that re-defined Shivi's marriage very aptly. Not all marriages are built on love first... its foundation starts with trust and respect which Shivi need to work on before they can fall in love. I think Raavi decided to stay because deep down she knows Shiva is not the type of person she thinks he is and she entrusted her trust on her mausapa knowing that he saw something in Shiva which made him give Raavi's hand to him. Raavi will learn about a husband-wife relationship through this marriage and eventually, she will see the sweetness that's hidden by the veil of hatred in her eyes for Shiva. It's not like the fairy tale stories where you fall in love and live happily ever after. Those sound good in books, but not in reality...real world is much different and unwarrented. Raavi needs guidance in this relationship and lucky for her she has a wonderful MIL and a supportive family. Even Shiva wants to give a try to this marriage, but it is a learning process for him as well. Both need to go through the highs and lows to find the balance. I can not wait to see their journey...

Avi, it was a fabulous episode. So many emotions and hurt, so much love. That’s what it’s all about. I was scared when I read the synopsis but when I watched it, I was honestly in awe of it.

I'm still holding out hope for Rishita as well. Maybe the Rishita/Raavi talk needs to happen before Rishita becomes "good."

And I'm talking about the Telugu version. I've been re-watching a few of the older episodes over the weekends to refresh myself on the story

I think Mulla asks Kathir to stay away from her and not to try to take advantage on the first night, idk, I just don’t like the dialogues in Tamil. 😅 Don’t throw stones, I just seemed to notice that we maybe all Tamil

Omg, the cultural differences are huge. You'll never understand what is happening. 😂😂

I agree with everything you said. Beautifully put!

Showing outright romance and care between them at this point would be unbelievable
