Usama really lacks screen presence, and his dialogue delivery feels flat. In Saturday's episode, when he went to speak to Bisma, he delivered some shayari-like lines that Asim often says. Those poetic dialogues were beautifully executed by FR, but when Usama delivered them, they just didn't have the same impact. I was really disappointed. There are several instances where his expressions don’t match the scene, which is a huge turnoff.
As for Nameer, yes, he's only done one show so far, and he will probably improve with experience. Right now, he delivers his lines with a straight face, which makes it hard to connect with his character.
I don’t find his character very layered either. He’s either smoking, using drugs, or getting beaten by his father. When he was introduced, he came across as a rebel, but in yesterday's episode, during his conversation with his dad, he seemed more like a coward, too timid to stand up for himself.
Usama has such a beautifully written character, but his performance still feels mediocre.
Yumna is amazing, and her character is so powerful .But,she has an author backed role n this is her genre n forte. So, m not surprised with her performance.
The most surprising outcome for me is bisma.I have to give kudos to Tazeen because her portrayal of Bisma could have easily been flat and uninteresting if it were played by medicore actresses. Bisma’s character is one-dimensional — tortured, scared, and timid — but Tazeen brings it to life in a way that makes the audience empathize with her and truly feel for her.
Yes , Jo voice ki intonation hoti hai it falls flat! Good example that we have Faisal to compare that to...this was supposed to be impactful but like many scenes just felt barely delivered.
And tanzeen did make a simple bechari character work with a variety of facial expression and body language. She doesn't howl and cry.
Yumna and the senior actors along with saqib really helped the shaky writing and relatively new actors by giving their best.
Ammar too now is doing some of the same things at timye. I was thinking he'll get into the family business and feud with Burhan and continue that family dynamics. Yaha to charsi se fursat nahi. But he's an addict and probably can't give that up without support and withdrawal. I'm seeing some layers but it needs to pick up further. I was hoping dad would force him to clean up and come to work but instead he is planning to give him 10 times more. From where? Behzad's half? Imagine having leverage over your child and choosing to spoil them. Bakhtiyar is egoistic and being dumb again. This is the mistake he made raising Ammar and he's doing it again. Instead of correcting his child and providing a space and a framework, he's giving him harmful toys.
Aur humne teaser dekhke socha Kiya Kiya tha aur huwa Kiya. The scene where he was supposed to defend Nashwa from dad, he got tossed around like a rag doll. I thought he was a rebel but the way he folded yesterday. Still an entertaining and thoda mysterious character. Yes, the dialogue delivery...once again lots of work to do.
The teasers created such expections from the boys aur dekho

Reviewers se ziada acha analysis ap logo ka hai about performances. It's good that everyone in the older generation has been nailing their characters and have ample screentime which covers up the short coming of the younger generation.
Reviewers don't pay so much attention I think. Well, they have so many shows to review so probably they miss some interesting points.
The best thing about this show is it's ensemble .Older gen people are stealing all the limelight n deservingly so. No wonder they are the veterans in this industry.

The reviewers were more authentic 5 years ago. Now even established journalists like Amna engages in lewd jokes regarding characters and Hassan makes it se*ual for views at times. They know what they're doing.
The ensemble is great and stealing the limelight is well earned.
I agree with the sentiment that why does even Bisma needs Dado's permission to get married? Bisma is an adult and her own mother is alive. She could have just left the home to her mothers place and got married from there.
Now that Nashwa has grown up and has a job they could have easily live separate and if Nashwa's income is less Bisma could have started her home chef business because she is a great cook and they both could have supported Nashwa's grandmother and she would not have to live on Barkat Begum's charity anymore.
And even after getting married to Asim Bisma's mom would not have to rely on Dado's family as Asim could have helped them.
Anyways sometimes it feels like Nashwa herself likes Ammar and is not averse to the idea of marrying him. 🤪🤭
Otherwise common sense entails she could have easily walked out, if the deal was to marry Ammar.
Bakhtiyar could not have done much if Asim took Bisma and Nashwa to UK after marriage.

Exactly. You echoed my thoughts. It really seems as Nashwa loves Ammar. Because not once has she shown an iota of disgust when he is around. Infact all her conversations are around Ammar. It would have made sense had they showed clearly about Nashwa having feelings for Ammar, atleast better than showing she getting blackmailed by badde Abu. A lawyer getting blackmailed by her so called Guardian is very hard to believe and is actually making this show the silliest dumb show ever. I have actually lost interest watching this show and hugely disappointed. Somehow I am not able to relate to Nashwa character now. She is good to people who are bad to her and behaves badly to people who genuinely care for her. I feel I have wasted 20 episodes time in watching this show. I now only want to see if AMMAR is really the culprit and what will Nashwa and his fate be.
And yes bisma turning a master chef would have been such a huge shoutout to woman empowerment.
Bisma was such a fool to have wasted her youth in that household. She could have easily gone with Asim to London long time back along with Nashwa. Don't know what karz they are talking about

Girl, I feel your frustration. But yeh to hona tha. I know exactly what you mean. We all wish there was a rock solid reason for the contract. Here comes not only the need for good acting but good writing! This lady writes bad daily soaps. It's a surprise that QeJ held it together for so long. I watched interviews and figured out from the cast that Saqib the director took liberties where needed to make things make sense. Otherwise, this writer is not a novelist and she's no Umera, Farhat, Hashim Nadeem or bano Qudsiya or nimra Ahmed. If Saqib didn't take liberties then this would have gone the SMD route where haseeb just executed trash as produced by Mr Khalil night owl
Yeh to hona tha dear. I didn't bring it up earlier but I started seeing a few cracks early on. Khair, I'm not fully convinced but I also see how bakhtiyar could literally kill kidnap or assault both. He has police, media, strong connection on his side. He made the mahi thing disappear even though the cops came in front of so many people! So in that way it very much makes sense but that is us assuming this. The writer never makes an attempt to fully clarify.
And how do you even think of redeeming an enabler??? They make evil happen. They create the whole situation. They're worst than the people who do the crime of that's even possible.
Also, when you say Nashwa may have unknown feelings for Ammar, you're just joking right? Or did you pick some vibe up? Do share your thoughts. Do you think they got married? I think they did. When she disappeared for a while during Bisma's mehendi

Hehe, thanks for understanding dear. I am too frustrated with this show and Nashwa now.
And I am not joking about her feelings for Ammar. I feel somewhere down the heart, she loves Ammar. Atleast it comes across for me. She never shows any disgust around him, in all her stories about childhood, she mentions only about him with some kind of affection. She trusts him more to get Asim and Bisma married. She doesn't even ask beenish help but straight Ammars help. But yes her insecurity and jealous of Ammar being more pampered over powers her love for him.
And her asking Bisma, why do you hate Ammar so much, validates my Theory.
And yes I do think Nashwa and Ammar are Aldready married
