@bold-So true..!! The level is so down..those who have watched classic PTV dramas like Bin Roye,ZGH,yaqeen ka safar they'll understand PTV ka standard was so high!!

Even I feel writing wise SMD is so much better than them...but the criticism is more than appreciation of good things in this show unfortunately

I don't think SMD or such shows can be compared with shows like TB and IB coz they are completely different.

There is an audience for shows like TB which was a full masala entertainer with a solid love story. Massy love stories like this will never go out of fashion and have a huge fan base. There is a reason why Mills and Boons, Pride and Prejudice are classics.

SMD is a different kind of a love story with a different audience. Those who enjoy slow burns, depth, philosophical stuff. Even such love stories have their own fan base.

Both are good in their own rights. I don't see the need for comparison.

Keeping the pace aside, I do feel the writing is good. The dialogues have a lot of depth and even the scenes. At least some thought has gone into writing which is a good thing.

The writing is interesting on paper but the show is receiving too much criticism I still dont know why (except the pace thing)

A mini time jump. Billu will be back with Z. Everyone will be happy. Billu and Sadaf's bond will improve

Billu will think he has managed to impress Sadaf but by the time he decides to propose her, she informs him that she is getting married to Amaar (very Kuch kuch hota hai mera pehla pyar adhoora reh gaya Rufatbi moment 😂..Billu reminds me of Anjali for some reason 😂😭)

Billu does channa mereya on her wedding and leaves. We get a time jump.

After the jump, Sadaf and Billu cross paths again and this time around Billu is a completely changed man (again like Anjali 😂)....This time around Sadaf and Billu come close and fall in love...Amar and Sadaf might have separated by this time around. Z like Choti Anjali might want to unite Billu & Sadaf 😂🤣

I feel Sadaf will never fall for Amar and will subconsciously fall for Billu but considering his image, her own upbringing & her father's words, she will never be able to come to terms and realize that she can fall in love with Billu.

I think she has a superiority complex and believes herself to be better than any other woman. That's why she refuses to accept that she can fall for someone like Bilal.

I think Humsha is there to manipulate Ammar. You can already see jealousy is taking over a bit. It could be that she doesn’t like the special privilege that Sadaf is getting but it’s clear from a prior scene that she has feelings for Bilal. She’s totally trying to clear the path to Bilal for herself.

Ya and that's why their scenes are not working for me. I have no interest in watching Ammar cry constantly and Humsha gaslighting him.

I didn’t make the kuch kuch hota hai connection but I did think about the first part happening. Bilal goes with Zaviyaar to America, meanwhile Sadaf decides to marry Ammar for whatever reason (I still can’t figure out why she would). I couldn’t figure out when she bonds with Bilal, phone calls maybe? Or before he leaves or after he gets back but it’s too late. And I still can’t figure out how Bilal and Sadaf get married because it certainly looks like they do

Sadaf and Bilal marrying is something even I can't figure out tbh. The good part is that despite having watched 9 episodes we still can't be sure of the story ahead.
