Average trp of JSA across 15 weeks (30 episodes) was 5.7

agreed. better to accept the facts as they are. we can discuss why something did not work commercially or if they worked for a specific subgroup but not universally, but that's a separate discussion.

i think kmkt will be mentioned in the single episode category. the finale episode aired on tuesday but there was no episode on monday.

Bismil is working because of the story. It's not Hareem or Nouman or a star that is driving its TRP. Stars of course benefit from Bismil being so successful. Bismil is working because women are literally seeing it as a manual for how to tell if your husband is cheating on you.

In the long run, its always the content that wins ofcourse. I never thought of Sherry/ Ushna/ Khaie pair to be a trp pullers tbh. I did not even expect this show to cross 6 trps in the opening episode..Sherry has the aura of an A lister..but he never was one..IDK if I am making sense. Radd had opened to 5-6 something. But maybe Radd helped him cement popularity with general audience.

I am frankly still unable to understand the concept of audience retention because previous show in the same slot was a BB?? I mean if some movie replaced Stree 2 on a Friday in theatres after Stree 2 ended, how does that help the next movie? Is it not solely bringing in the numbers on its own merit?

we will get clear picture from numbers that come in for today's episode..but it is still far higher than expected..

as for SMD, if one wants to have a rationale discussion and you are one with an open mind..the buzz for the show overall is negative..very similar to GM, which atleast opened well but then crashed completely on SM..and I dont even know if most continued it till half way, forget the end of the show..

I am not watching SMD, but from the sidelines..its not just haters or TB fandom who is mocking it..which is sad, because I did love Mahaj a lot in JBG..and that show did not have forced chemistry, it was so organic and so beautifully done..someone needs to sit Wajju down and ask him to access the choices he is making..becoming a star is one thing, sustaining it is another.

I also think Yumna's stardom has taken a hit and that will also be clear with the opening of QEJ...damn thats a LONGGGGGGGG POST. sorry I did not realize how much I have typed out.

Dunyapur's first episode crossed 18M in just a month, episode does 7M. The budget is high, so I won't call it a success. But its doing better than most
