Jaan e jaan was the comeback of the popular A list pairing of hamza and ayeza, with an ensemble starcast and big budget still it failed to reach the 10m milestone on yt. Except the first 2 episodes, none of the remaining one's have touched 10m even after 10 months.

Whereas smd with crap storyline and less screenspace of leads is managing to cross 10m in a week. And the credit goes to the audience pull of wahaj as people are okay with watching any crap for him. Mein also managed to hit 10m only because wahaj was part of the show. The last 2 episodes were he had the centre stage trended at number 1 in india and pak.

Tbh, the only ML who has delivered solid YT views on his name alone is DT because he did so with shows with no promotions, bad scripts, low production quality and Z-list FLs that no one knows of. If Mein or SMD had a Komal Mir or Laiba Khurram or Sehar Hashmi, it may not have gotten 10M views. Same if ML in Mein or SMD was a Haris Waheed or a Khaqan instead of Wahaj. So, Wahaj definitely was a big factor but to say he was the only factor is a stretch. The pairing matters.

Honestly, these Wahaj vs X FL comparisons make no sense. Like JeJ had pretty decent TRPs but only YT views were low. With SMD, TRPs are really low but YT views are doing better. Hania has more blockbusters under her belt than Wahaj. Ayeza shows consistently get TRPs for years. So based on this totality of evidence, saying X has more pull than Y or vice versa makes no sense to me.

Yeah ayeza is a trp queen but since the discussion was about online views, that's why I have written my pov on it. No doubt ayeza shows do well on tv but it's also true that the reason mein and smd are doing good is because of wahaj. Like you said remove wahaj from these 2 shows and put any other actor, it wouldn't have received the same million views.

Moreover both shows were/are talk of the town when they are on air, most of the credit of it goes to wahaj because people just can't stop talking about his shows. Hania's popularity is insane, that's why most of her shows are bb on yt and its good that she doesn't have the baggage of it or isn't restricted to just one character or show like wahaj.

Both JSPJ and SMD got a 7 in front on Wed. But JSPJ edged over SMD in terms of TRP this week? Is it the second shaadi track that gave JSPJ a bump or because SMD is a pain to watch live (as you can't skip or speed up the long pauses, slo mo scenes, multiple fbs from same episode like you can on YT.)?

JSJP is at an interesting turning point and the story is finally moving forward. SMD is a literal pain to watch. Even my mom gave up on it this week and she follows most shows. I would say even this TRP is a miracle for it.

On Wednesday /Thursday fast paced shows like Bismil and Dunyapur, even JSJP and Iqtidar, are a better watch. And I’m saying this as a Wahaj fan.

i don't think purane zamane ke dramas ki bhi aisi pace hoti thi.

haseeb ne slow pace ka naya level open kiya hai which no one even knew existed.

Also Hira deserves credit for SMD cos she is getting plenty of screen time and Juni is doing better

I’m convinced this was like 20 episodes which Haseeb stretched to 30+. Because there is no story. Not even love story ka basic build up. Nothing.

In contrast Bismil, Dunyapur and Iqtidar are honestly FUN. Not without flaws of course but entertainment value is 10/10. JSPJ is a dragging kind of story but even that has masala. Kuch tou hai. I’m not sleeping while watching.

KRQ's stories are 19/20 episodes mostly. SMD would have better too if it was just 20 episodes cos the love story is basically a sham.
