Yesterday's episode still has that "Dil hi mera darda hai" but this new episode 22 has the old Ra Ra Re and original OST.

I can't quite place my thoughts on today episode. I am going to be random.

Was it better than yesterday definitely. But something is still missing.

I wonder if Tere Bin would have felt better if we binged it, when you go from episode to episode there are these long gaps so the mistakes marinate and you dwell on them longer. And the tonal shifts are more apparent and jarring.

Wahaj was more on point as Murtasim in this episode. But I think it is Yumna who never makes a mistake, it is her tone and character that are always consistent she never misses a beat. Murtasim is a more complex character because of the extremes and yet controlled nature of his personality. Has any one seen North and South, Mr. Thornton by Richard Armitage gives you master class in acting in how to be brooding yet be so in love. Script makes all the difference, TB script is letting Wahaj down he can only perform what he is given. Ironically it was Murtasim who was given the best dialogues when the show started now his character is waffling.

Wardrobe wardrobe wardrobe what is happening. My personal taste men with no socks will always be a no sell for me, I don't care who wears it. This is infamous fashion amongst Koreans and it hurts my eyes to see. I like my men in classic old school fashion, preferable armani. Yumna in this saree has to be the worst look for her. A writer once said when a character says or does anything it should add value to the story, no dialogue or action should be waste that is the quality of a good script. Put the points aside that the saree was tied badly, wrong colour, wrong fabric. Who gave this saree Murtasim did, now ask yourself would Murtasim pick this saree NO, is this Meerab style NO, so there you have already sunk this scene. A gift from Murtasim should say something about his character, atleast how he sees Meerab, not to mention his first gift should have added value to their story. This is why he pool scene worked despite its edits, and the dinner is not working.

Now the dance ohhhhhh my god where to start. I have seen so many wonderful romantic dances from the structured pride and prejudice pair dancing, hindi dramas littered with such dances, to the breath taking secret garden dance between Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won which generated enough chemistry to light up a city. This unfortunately was not good. There is two ways to play the scene, the characters are shy so that the actors play them awkwardly on purpose or the actors themselves are awkward. This is the latter, I am no dance expert but do you dip a girl randomly before the dance even starts or should it be part of a sequence of steps being fluid and in tune with the music. Wahaj and Yumna very good on the faces but their bodies were not cooperating. Trying to kiss her hands was nice but the whole sequence was so awkward it took away from that moment.

I know a lot people have commented on Murtasim english speaking. Personally I got no problem. I think it is because I see so much shows from other languages like korean, english, thai, japanese, chinese, hindi, that I am used to hearing a mix of everything. My understanding is that they want to give Murtasim a more sophisticated edge, he is well educated yet tied to the system.

Ah yes. Today I watched epi 22 first on YT and was so so happy to hear the new ost.

I am very sure Murtu has not seen Rohail in the promo. Look at Murtasim's expressions, he isn't angry and even Rohail is smiling.

Merab is going to keep this Rohail thing a secret and maybe when they reach we will see the OST scene. After that Murtu will definitely do some huge gesture which will lead to breaking of contract by Merab.

As much as I remain hating Haya, I am actually enjoying all these changes in storyline. It really feels like a journey, a “journey” through their relationship. I honestly loved, for example, seeing them in that running scene in epi 21 because it was the first time they were both just happy, and happy because of each other. Such a light moment. They looked so cute and it felt like they both deserved to feel that way after everything! What a change from December’s first episode.

How fun that they are heading for a day out on the town next week!

Also, love how the man is always running after her, in and out of the haveli. He truly is a fantasy man 😍
