I guess one of the reasons i feel yumna don't suit meerab that much is because she falls short in front of wahaj when it comes to attractiveness. If i am not wrong meerab is supposed to be the prettiest girl in their khandaan whereas there is literally nothing that makes her stand out from mariyam and haya look wise except being fairer than them and being fair skinned is a huge deal in indian subcontinent. They both dresses way better than meerab on a daily basis. Meerab and murtasim are supposed to be equals in every possible way and she is supposed to be as attractive as murtasim on papers if not more. On that sense Maya is a better choice as you said she is more in level with wahaj.

Her chemistry with wahaj is the only advantage she has in this show and that's why i feel any actress that manages to have good chemistry with wahaj could have pulled off this role.

I guess i found the reason why yumna's makeup looks weird. I guess the makeup team went for a dewy makeup look for her which is in trend right now. But instead of dewy it looks oily on her. It suits only for people with naturally glowy skin. Ushna Shah or anmol balock will look good as they both seems to have glowy skin. They also used too much highlighter on yumna which make it look unnatural.

I liked mariyam's makeup on the wedding day. I didn't like haya's sari. If she wanted to prevent showing skin while wearing a sari she shouldnt have gone for a transparent sari or should have gone for a blouse that covers her entire tummy. Sari looks odd if it's wore so high. The only character i liked in sari in a pak drama was Haider's mother in dunk. She only wore cotton sarees and all looked so good on her.

@bold Isn't meerab supposed to be on par with murtasim? So shouldn't someone who looks more level with him be a better casting?

So , it is the nature's way of compensating them , by giving them much needed love and appreciation in this ott drama

Imagine how bad they have felt - despite doing such decent and amazing dramas , yumna and wahaj were so underrated !

So , they are getting their due in this drama , even if the story is pathetic 🤷

And tbh , in place of wahaj , Danish , feroz - could have also played murtasim and looked good with yumna . My point is that , even then - they couldn't create the magic as beautiful as Yumhaj 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I don't mind the female lead being less attractive than the male lead as long as they have amazing chemistry. What i am saying is that on papers meerab is supposed to be this very beautiful strong girl who is an equal to murtasim in every possible way (except maturity😆) which don't happen in the casting. That's why i said yumna is a miscast and not because of anything else.

Danish and feroz could play murtasim but since we have seen those two play similar characters for years there won't be anything new in it. The thing with wahaj is that he looks fresh as murtasim since we audience are not used to seeing him like that and the role suits him as well. Also wahaj is a better actor than the other two. Meerab might be different from yumna's other characters but the role don't suit her and even her acting is off. I expect better acting from someone of her calibre. It's like watching Tabu do roles meant for disha patani and not doing it well😆

Saw the new segment of the show where Murtsim is in the hospital with oxygen mask so the omitting part was not a fake one.
