Talent from across the border continues to be sought after in Bollywood. After Fawad Khan (Khoobsurat) and Humaima Malick (Raja Natwarlal), yet another attractive Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan is slated to make her debut in Hindi cinema. This Pak import won notices worldwide for her performance in Shoaib Mansoor's 'Bol' (2011), just like Humaima did.

She visited Mumbai last month after her television serial Humsafar gained popularity and dropped subtle hints of the Hindi filmmakers whom she may consider working with. Obviously, the ones who were the quickest to move in were producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, who finalised the VJ-turned-actress for 'Raees' being directed by Rahul Dholakia. The film has Shah Rukh Khan playing a don and is likely to have Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing a cop. A source said that SRK had dropped in at the audition to meet Mahira.

The actress is married to her college sweetheart Ali Askari. And though she is based out of Karachi, the articulate girl with the porcelain complexion travels extensively. India will be a long haul destination for now, we guess.

MAHIRA will look awesum with SRK but she needs to put on weight...th pics i hv seen of her in india visit recently...she has bcum terribly skinny n was looking like a skeleton...doing a bolly project doesnt mean u hv to bcum skeletal...same mistake humaima fawad did too n they lookd worse than their original look in their respective films...also imran abbas physique looks good in sawaan song only...in th film he also lookd skinny to my surprise...whats wrong with eceryone...

We shud tweet mahira to put on a bit weight before starting to shoot

I luv her figure in sadqay...she has a fuller face in sadqay n still looks slim trim...thats how i like her

But recently i was shockd to see her

I'm unhappy...now that Indians are watching our dramas and loving our stars they will all want them to join bollywood. We won't have any good actors/actresses left in Pakistan.

is it so bad to want them to act in Bollywood?...isn't time to let go... and try to be friends? find happiness in their work rather than crying for mine and theirs...new talents will emerge...new voices will be heard don't you want that?

be proud so many pakistani artists are getting recognised for their talent! by the worlds largest film industry it will nay help the countries to come closer and fight the evil that crushes children and women!!!

My father says its just like begging something from others...🥱😆 But in my p.o.v its not that bad. If our stars think they can make better fame via India, who are we to stop them...?

What do u mean by begging from india...no pak actor ever has begged nything from india...whatever position they hv made there has been based on their own talent...be it atif aslam rahat fateh ali khan ali zafar n latest fawad n mahira...they didnt go to india on their own begging for work...india called them seeing their talent and they jus responded positively...whats wrong with that...talent shud not b limited by borders and all actors want to move frm tv to bigscreen n bollywood films is a huge huge huge mkt compared to lollywood films mkt n viwership

Thnx to zindagi channel pak talent is getting recognized in india and hence they r getting offers on their own talent...not by begging...but what th actors shud do is keep a balance betwn pak projects n bolly films...jus like what imran abbas is doing...doing both pak dramas n bolly coz both r seen worldwide...pak dramas hv a much biggr viwership than pak films...so if they hv to move to films bolly is a much better option than lollywood
