One member on this board asked for a detailed analysis on "ending" of "Bunty I Love You'.
Here I am with one,
I have been following this show since day 1 and I have been loving it. I must say it was one of the "good" shows I watch. I know many people do have mixed opinions about this show but this show was better than many on air shows these days. The concept/Plot of the drama hooked me to this show and Daniya's characters made me addicted to this show.
This show has always impressed me whether it was the first episode where she proved her loyalty to Patel or in the last episode where Bunty realizes Daniya's love for himself, all was outstanding. First six episodes were freakin' awesome, The way Daniya's pain and grief was shown of getting betrayed by her lover, then get sold of to an old man by her parents ,till living with an aged man was brilliant.
Death of Patel was shown as freedom of Daniya-The long lost bird was also portrayed nicely. Then scenes of Patel and Daniya where Patel always pops in front of Daniya on right time to knock some sense into her was marvelously done.
I loved Bunty ,from he accused Daniya of stealing his cell phone which he snatched from his favorite actress till He promised a luxurious life to Mehwish ,I also kind of defended him when he fell in love with Beenish in his first sight but I started disliking his character when he went to steal Daniya's jewellery although he dropped the idea on last minute but damage to the character was done.
I agree the script writer butchered the story mercilessly after the interval but Thank God characters remained consistent till the end and that was the only reason I watched this show.Looking it from upside it looks like a simple story where young widow falls in love with a slum and changes his life overnight like a fairy tale ,then she waits till he falls for her but he keeps on falling for other girls who are not worthy of.At the end to prove his love (which is still a question mark) he consumed poison given by Daniya (which he mistook to be fake poison) and dies in front of Daniya and Daniya dies in shock, may be she didn't die physically but mentally she is no more.
My two personal favorite characters in this show were Kutub and Daniya from episode 1 till Last episode.
Daniya: I always want to see leading ladies in strong roles but many are just same old Sati Savitri, Bechari Biwi types. Daniya was different, she was bold, beautiful and confident, The way she dealt with Chauhan and that pervert Budha was hilarious and the way she put Patel's family members in place was also commendable. When she truly impressed me was when she suffocated her ex-fiance at the theatre and the second was when she made her parents sit in lawn for hours and then told kutub to show them the doors without any second thought remembering that these were those parents who sold her off for some money. She immediately fell for a boy at least 10 years younger than her age but she never felt reluctant to show PDA. She was not shameless . Kudos to the creative team who made us believe that It was Daniya's right to get love and she was shameless nor she was a wh*re. All that detective thing proved Daniya was a brilliant lady ,who never loved patel but remained faithful to him till his last breath, and also cv's were not ashamed of showing a widow falling for other man.
Kutub: He was just a servant, he was treated like one at times but he never showed negativity towards Daniya. He loved daniya in his sweet manner. He remained loyal to her and he wanted Daniya to get love of her life and happiness which she truly deserves. That Peer Baba thing really got me Scared and I thought Kutub is a fraud but that Kutub's dialogue,"Babaji woh mar jayegi" was really heart winning.
I dislike all that saas-bahu and polygamy crap so I like each and every show which has some fresh concept and this show ws totally fresh and Saba Qamar's Daniya was flawlessly played. I will rate this show 4 out of 5!
P.S: I chose this pic because this snap shows the confidence which Daniya proudly carried throughout the show!š³š³
