- Ali Zafar was nominated for the MTV Style Awards, but he lost out to Sonu Nigam. But it is undeniable that Ali Zafar has made an impact and so has Jami's very under rated video for 'Chal Dil Meray'. This is what the MTV India has to say about him: "Oh my God! We're finally getting musicians who also look heavenly. So, just push play on Ali Zafar's new album Huqa Paani while you stick his poster on your wardrobe. Pakistani musician Ali is classically trained from the prestigious Nazeer Ahmed Music Society. His new video is the loopy 'Chal Dil Meray' which comes with the added bounus of being Pakistan's first 'single take video'. Know this much – he sings like a dream and looks like one too." Very teeny bopper and very drooly we know, but that is MTV for you. And the fact that he lost out to Sonu Nigam... well that's India for you. But let's take the good with the bad and commend Ali Zafar on capturing the imagination of teeny boppers and style gurus across the border.
- Strong on the heels of the high impact 'Sali', Shehzad Roy is out with a brand new video 'Hum Sab Ek Hain'. This song is as diverse in style and music from 'Sali' as possible. Directed by the famous Indian director, Rahul Sud ('Kabhi Aar Kabhi Par' fame), the video has been shot at a number of prominent Pakistani locations like Wagah Border, Badshahi Mosque and the Lahore Fort. The theme is old generation together with the new generation walking towards a united Pakistan. It's a colourful video and brings out the culture of Pakistan beautifully. And that's not the only reason to check it out, cricket legend Imran Khan makes a special appearance in the video and looks dashing as always along with the two cute all–rounders, Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik. Rahul has previously shot another Pakistani video, 'Jiya Na Jaye' for Faakhir. In this day and age, when Pakistan is facing its worst natural disaster to date, this song just be the kind of theme, we are looking for.
