Comments:

The story is based on an important social theme i.e. the rights of women and their abuse at the hands of men. In fact, such themes are not being presented in today's drama as the overwhelming presentations are formulaic quilt of pretty faces, love stories and soap operatic melodramas. Relevant to the theme, the story spanned three generations.

In the first generation, the feudal Mustafa Shahzad (Shafi Muhammad) had been shown abusing the rights of his own wife and daughter. In the second and third generations, the daughter-in-law Sarah (Sania Saeed) and the grand daughter Sasha too suffering at the hands of their male guardians for fighting for the rights of women specially of those from the down trodden class. Both Sarah and her daughter Sasha had to face numerous oppositions in their endeavour.

Sarah belonged to a highly educated, liberal family with rich cultural heritage, depicting eastern traditions . Sarah herself was a practicing lawyer ideologically committed to profession specialising in family laws. However, as soon as she stepped into another family by virtue of her marriage with Dr. Ali Shahzad (Humayun Saeed), she had to face a conservative, unfamiliar atmosphere. She had to fight for her own rights and for others living in the haveli of Raees Mustafa Shahzad.

The main story of the drama was, in fact, unfolded in the grand haveli of Raees Mustafa, a tyrant, conservative, short tempered and a man still living in the midst of the redundant values. No one is allowed to act or speak against the wishes and the so-called family traditions, specially the ladies. In his early life, he had to marry Bi Bi Jan, a simple woman, under certain compulsion foregoing his love. Although Bi Bi Jan was a daughter from an equally good family and brought with her considerable land and property that made Mustafa to prosper, but he never showed any affection or love to her. Rather, he used to abuse her, admonish her for anything going wrong in the haveli. He did not even spared Bi Bi Jan from hitting. The poor woman had to live all the time under the shadow of terror. However, she gained some courage when Sarah joined the family and gave her moral support.

However, they are faced with quite a serious problem in the life of a married couple. The families of the four grooms and brides are faced with many different realistic conflicts of life that bring the families together. Overall, the drama characterizes most of the feminine problems faced by girls after their marriage.
The writer has done an excellent job of explaining each problem in great
detail with realistic endings. The music is excellent and exceptional with
Jawad Ahmed'z MEHNDI, title song emphasizing the theme of the drama. The
video is beautifully chreographed and the voice of Jawad has made it
perfect. The song "Ek Larki Pyari Pyari" by Shaaz Khan has also put a cute
romantic touch to the story. Shaaz Khan's song has good, meaningful lyrics
that set the scenes up for the upcoming events. Shaaz's sweet voice is
lovely.
The drama is no doubt an exceptional and unique characterization and should
be made with new creative ideas more often.

In the hospital he sees Niggy and thinking her to be very rich starts pursuing her, but soon finds out that she is married.

Niggy discovers that she too cannot have a child, but Sumera by now is expecting. Hashim decides to take use of this oppurtunity and starts to create a rift between Niggy and Haider. Adding further fuel to fire is Sumera's father (Farid Nawaz Baloch), and in a rage Haider divorces Niggy. Hashim soon discovers that Niggy belonged to a poor family and everything was of Haider's. Since Niggy does have a house to her name and a considerable Haq Maher, he decides to marry her.

When Haider discovers that she has married Hashim, he starts putting pressure on Niggy to return all the assets he gave her. Much to Hashim's shock, she returns everything to Haider. Seeing all his plans sinking, Hashim's attitude starts to change. Around the same time, his friend introduces him to another millionare female Mehr (Laila Zuberi) who lives in Dubai, and so he flies off to Dubai leaving Niggy helpless.

Niggy discovers that by a miracle, she is expecting and has a baby boy Ali Raza. Hashim's brother tells this news to Hashim, but the letter lands in Mehr's hand so she decides to hold all the money in her hands. Mehr's sister dies and she brings up her sister's orphaned daughter Ramsha as her own and leaves everything to Ramsha.

Twenty years pass, and the children grow up. Niggy works day and night to provide Ali (Humayun Saeed) with a good education. Haider happens to see her picture with her parents and immediatley reconizes Hashim. Fate brings Ali to Haider and he decides to take his revenge. Telling a distorted version of Niggy's past to Ali, Haider convinces him that all her misfortunes were because of Hashim, and that all his assets actually belong to Ali.

Meanwhile, Hashim is still determined to get his hand's on Mehr's money, and he hires an assasin (Suhail Asghar) to kill both Mehr and Ramsha. Will he suceed or not is yet to be seen. Also will Haider get his revenge using Ali as his pawn . An interesting plot keeps the viewers hooked.
