Satish, you write really fast and really well.
I don't bother too much about the spelling or grammar errors.
I didn't expect to read 3 chapters all in one day...
but I was so excited when I did!
Yes, the adventures of Azhagan are intriguing and larger-than-life to imagine...
To see it on big screen, it would be nice if a director like S. S. Rajamouli (who is famous for special screen effects in movies like Naan Ee, Magadheera and upcoming epic Baahubali) took up such a project. He brings spectacular imaginations to larger-than-life movie settings.
The only place which hits my logic in the story is in Ch. 51, where it states Moorkan sniffed the air of a damp spot (the place where Thenmozhi apparently urinated a few hours ago), and immediately concludes the gender, age and royalty of that person. That seems way too far-stretched for my imagination!
I can believe in the story of supernatural powers, of a huge giant, the setting of a huge forest land like "Sairandhrivanam", the paintings coming into life...but this bit of info just doesn't make sense to my logic.
Nevertheless, the story is good and I am hooked on to it!
I don't know which one of our actors can perform such roles.
Some things which look good on script...don't look so good on-screen.
And some scenes written on paper...are great to watch in the movie.
Even in "Baasha", where a strong script was written for Rajnikanth...
Nagma, the heroine, didn't have much to do in the story except dance and romance.
But I still liked her introductory scene so much, with the "Style Style thaan" in the background...
and she pouts to Janagaraj in the auto stand and says "Hey handsome...neenga vaanga..."
OMG his reaction was unexpectedly hilarious 😆...I still keep laughing for that scene.
I guess it doesn't sound so exciting on paper...but when you watch it, it still makes you smile even after 20 years of its release.
Similarly, many "mass" heroes have tried to play emotional roles as a father or a doting elder brother...for family sentiments to reach the audience.
In Gautam Menon movies, his vision of bonding in love and relationships is what brings out the character's best traits in his films.
For me, even if Surya played the doting father in "Vaaranam Aayiram" and Vikram did the same in "Deiva Thirumagal"...
Ajith excelled in his caring father's role in that song "Unakkenna venum sollu..." from "Yennai Arinthal".
That song is just magical to watch on-screen. The lyrics are meaningful and the voice is soothing...
but the scenes showing the comfort and care the little girl shares with Ajith as they go on a spiritual journey in India is so heart-warming...and forever etched in the mind.
I liked the little girl in this movie...she didn't try to hard to look too cute or too innocent or too hyper...
she was quite natural and Ajith as an aging father with grey hair together stood out really well in this song.
The female version "Idhayathai Yedho Ondru" doesn't look so good on-screen as it is less touching lyrics and Anushka overacts big time.

An example of a movie with a good story concept gone totally wrong with direction is Surya's latest movie "Masss" or "Mass Engira Masilamani". (Even the title sounds like a joke).
The movie is a little better than "Anjaan" but I still don't know why Surya signed up for this movie.
The script is total nonsense.
I am told the story is similar to Sun TV's "Bhairavi" serial...(I don't watch serials)
and this serial itself is a copy of the US show "Ghost Whisperer".
I have seen "Ghost Whisperer" and that is a good emotional thriller where the lead female character was vulnerably gorgeous...even to a dead man's eyes.
But "Masss" is neither here or there...it just meanders aimlessly.
Only one song stood out in my mind - "Naan Aval Illai".

Surya looks so damn handsome in this song...I couldn't take my eyes off him...
I think a lot of girls felt the same way.
Too bad Venkat Prabhu does not give a lot of importance to women in his movies...
so most girls who saw "Masss" took to youtube to vent out their romantic frustrations.
In the movie "Masss", Pranitha plays the small role of Surya's second wife...after he becomes a lonely widower with a child.
This song is how Surya hesitates to accept this new woman as his lover after his wife passes away.
It's a beautiful, emotional song and by the end of the song, Surya accepts her as his beloved wife.
Frustated that the movie did not show him doing more romantic scenes, one die-hard Surya fan wrote "I want to place myself in the character of Pranitha in Surya's real life."
To which another girl wrote back "Haha...appo Jyothika?😆"
