Chapter 2

Vaibhavi just flared at the man beside her... if things went her way he would have been a skewed kebab by now...

"Gaaliyaan aa rahi hai mann main... excellent... ab mera ek kaam karo... woh cycle dekh rahi ho... yup pink and blue... yeh woh house number 44 pe de aao... aur haan... aur yeh suitcase bhi... good girl!" Veer commanded to Vaibhavi...

Vaibhavi grumbled and did accordingly... "Yaar... preggie hui Nats... aur boj lena par raha hai humain! As long as uski secret safe hai.. I wouldn't act anything untoward... mere liye humesha rishta zyaada important hai.. other than some stupid ego!" she came back to the car...

"Lo hogaya... aur kuch Jahapanah!" she said sarcastically...

"Jahapanah... nice..." he grinned... rubbing the edge of his stubbled jaw with his finger... "Ab house 44 main waapas jao... aur ek envelope collect karo..." he said grimly...

Vaibhavi threw her hands up in frustration and did so... she returned after 15 minutes... almost running into the car...

"Veer! Are you frigging mad! Tum exam paper khareed rahe ho! What's wrong with you! TUm papers leak kar rahe ho! SH*t!" she swore and sat in the car...

"Maine nahi... tumne kiya hai sab kuch... tumne hi paise diye... aur tumne hi papers receive kiye... camera bolke bhi ek cheez hai na!" Veer smirked and Vaibhavi looked at him in a horror...

Oh lord... that means... she got fixed into his trap! SHe would get the blame!... Blame...

She opened her little notebook and started scribbling something.. I evah ot dnif sapap nownk elpoep ohw thgim evah nwonk siht dna revoerom nwonk sapap eludehcs..." Vaibhavi rested her head at the head seat and closed her eyes...

Exactly... why hadn't she thought about this before!

She looked aside to see Veer gaping at the book... "Yeh kya likha hai tumne?" he asked...

"Hebrew.. padhna hai!" she snapped back...

He looked ahead... while the words re assembled in Vaibhavi's mind...

"Ek cheez... agar main aise phas gayi cause I was blackmailed by Veer... as he had the video of me... with the papers... par sach baat toh... gosh... so papa could have been... right! I have to find papa's known people who might have known this and moreover papa's schedule..." Vaibhavi pressed her lips tight when she saw Veer staring at someone...

She met his line of sight and noticed a man bleeding on the road... hmm... a run over case perhaps...

And in front of them an ambulance came but nothing happened... they paused for a minute and left...

Veer grumbled and got off the car... shouting at the van...

The minute they looked at his face they knew he was the CM's son... though infamously known..

"Abhi ke abhi hospital le jaao isse... aur bills main bhar doonga.. jao!" he barked at the paramedics and sat back in the car to find a shocked Vaibhavi looking at him..

"Pata hai shakal acha hai par dekh kya rahi ho?" he said...

"Oh shut up... you actually helped that guy..." she muttered...

"Uska naam Vaibhavi Singh nahi tha na... isliye by mistake madat ho gaya... ab chalo... aur wait... main paani leta hoon..." he said and walked towards the dickie of the car...

"Attitude kamina... waise bhi... I hope I can call maa..." Vaibhavi thought...

"Aur maine waha jo kiya... it was right ki.. it was..." she thought... recalling a moment... however shrugging her shoulders she noticed that Veer hadn't come back...

"Kahi mere ko beech raste chod ke bhaag toh nahi gaya!" Vaibhavi thought and went behind to see a sprawled Veer on the pavement...

"Hey Deva!" she exclaimed...

Her instincts worked immediately on saving him.. no second questions asked...

She saw that his hand was around an empty flask... strange... which smelt weird as well...

Her palms immediately touched his sculpted chest and pressed against his muscles till she felt the faint thud thud thud...

"What to do... sh*t... iss Veer ko kya hua hai... Vaibhavi calm down... calm down!" she thought to herself.. though the situation of Veer lying down.. was frightening..

She poured water on his face... shook him quite a few times... but he didn't get up...

She pushed him into the car and drove like a maniac... asking every passer by for a clinic or hospital...

But then the looks of the clinic itself suggested that she herself could do a better treatment for Veer...

SHe closed her eyes.. wiping the sweat beads forming on her forehead she looked into the dickie... if his flask was there... there must have been something more...

With time ticking by she ran up to the dickie and found a small box... a medicinal box... "Yeh... kis cheez ke liye... wait.. that doesn't make a difference Vaibhavi... just read the dosage and administer it to him properly..." she calmed herself...

A small paper was rolled at the edge of the box and she accordingly out the tablet in the water and shook it...

She climbed over his seat... and was... half sitting on his lap...

She patted his cheeks vigorously till his eyes half drooped open...

"Veer davai lo... abhi..." she ushered him and clutched his jaw gently... forcing the contents of the flask inside his mouth...

He seemed to relax within the next few minutes... "Phew... thank God..." she mumbled and tried to move that she found herself interlocked with him... his hand gripped her wrist tightly...

SHe bit her lips to control the pain till one bangle broke... she immediately pulled her hand away and shifted onto the next seat...

Picking up his phone she found out it was locked... sh*t...

Then a wicked idea cropped into her head... as Veer gently slept she executed her little plan and packed her stuffs up...

She gently patted his forehead... "Veer... sach... koi banda janam se bura nahi hota... agar pehli baar aise aadha latka hua milte... toh shayad tumhare baare main kuch acha sochti... kher... dhyaan rakhiyo..." saying she smiled...

As the moon shined over them... Vaibhavi stretched her arms... passing occasional looks to the male sleeping beauty she drove off to a safe place... and took her phone...

"What rubbish is this!" A man barked at two young people in the dean's office...

"Papa... I am sorry..." Natasha sobbed...

"Sorry! Yeah right... pata bhi hai... iska arth kya hai! College pe yeh baat phel gayi hai... humari khandaan ki naak katwa diya hai tumne!" he barked at her...

"Sir... am very shameful of my so called daughter... yehi hota hai aaj kal ki zamaane main... you can expel her I have no problem..." he muttered to the dean...

"Papa!" Natasha exclaimed...

"Mat bula iss naam se!" he growled back...

"Dean Sir... please maaf karde humain... maana ghalti hui hai par aap humain expel nahi kar sakte... Sir humara future ka sawaal hai!" Kabir pleaded...

"Tum toh baat hi mat karo!" Natasha's dad barked at Kabir...

"HUmari khaandan ki koi laaj nahi rakkhi! Raste ki ladki jaisi aukaad ho chuka hai teri! Chee... azaadi ki yeh fayda uthaya hai tune! 20 saal ki umer main bin bihayi maa! Samaaj kya kahenge humain socha hai! Kisika muh dikhaane ke laayak nahi choda hai humain! Ab mere doston... mere business associates ko kya muh dikhavun! Samaj ke saamne muh kaala toh kar hi diya hai humain!" her father barked at her...

"Iss najaayaz aulad ko toh... pata nahi.. a child born out of lust..." her father growled

"Bas!" Kabir snapped in between...

"SIr... aap sahi hai hum ghalat hai... main maanta hoon yeh... hum dono maante hai... umer ki josh main ghalti kar beithe hain... par iska matlab ye nahi ki aap Nats ko kuch bhi kahe..." Kabir spoke up...

"Tum toh baat hi mat karo... yeh bachcha abort hoga aur mera decision hai..." her father snapped at Kabir...

"Maaf kijiyega par pregnant aap nahi Nats hai... she will decide what to do or not do with our baby... aapko samaj ki padi hui hai... yeh kahenge woh kahenge par mujhe Nats ki padi hai... her health... whether she can manage to have a healthy pregnancy or not... about her future plan... par aapko toh farak hi nahi parta.. abort kar do aur kisi aur city main Uni main bharti dilwaa do... right!" Kabir glared at the dean and her father...

"Dean sir... aap jo bhi samjhe sahi hai.. woh hi kijiye... but just remember ki ab Nats ke saath ek aur jeevan bhi hai jiske khilaaf aap yeh decision le rahe hai..." Kabir spoke softly... he tugged Natasha with him...

"Natasha... aaj ke baad tum mere aur mere parivaar ke liye marr gaye ho..." her father announced...

"Papa... parivaar main se kabhi hota hi nahi..." she said softly and ran out of the room...

The Dean sat in his chair... pondering deeply over what had happened.. Natasha's father stormed back into his car...

"Kaha khoi ho?" Kabir asked a silent Natasha...

"Pata nahi... papa ne saath chod diya... am sure tumhare mummy papa bhi same karenge... I don't know what to do... I know it's a mistake... but I want to keep this mistake... I want to cherish this mistake..." Natasha broke into sobs...

Kabir hugged her tightly "Par main tumhe chodne nahi waala... are you sure about keeping this baby? Natahsha... dhyaan se socho... we have few more years left to complete our education... and I need a job too... even you... phir can we settle things... manage kar pavogi... please see the practical aspects of life..." Kabir told softly...

Natasha broke from his hug and placed his palm on her stomach... "Idhar... ek chotu sa jaan hai... tumhara aur mera ansh... isse maar pavoge tum Kabir? Dhyaan se socho tum... haan... can you feel the soft heartbeat?" she asked gently... that it brought tears on his face...

Kabir enclasped Natasha's hand... "I am going to be a father..." he whispered gently.. with slight tears near his eyes... and he engulfed her into a tight hug... no more words were required... their interlocked hands symbolized their relation for eternity...

They had a fragile future in front... but they would manage to stick on...

The next morning...

Vaibhavi's mother goes about her household chores when she receives a call.. she knew the number very well.. it was of the dean's..

"Ji Sir kya baat hai?" she said... "Mrs. Singh kya Vaibhavi aapke ghar aayi hai regarding some issue?" Mr. Rao spoke... her mother clutched the phone tight... Vaibhavi didn't even call her regarding anything... what should she answer?

"JI?" she asked perplexed...

"Main phirse pooch raha hoon Mrs. Singh kya Vaibhavi aapke ghar aayi hai regarding some issue?" Mr. Rao spoke in slight impatience... something told him that Vaibhavi and Veer's absence together meant some issue was there...

"Maa... kiska phone hai?" a young girl's voice comes from the other end of the line...

"Rao Sir ka..." her voice replies...

"Oh cool.. Hello.. haan Rao sir... bataye... subah subah humain yaad kaise kiya aapne?" Vaibhai answered...

"Hello beta.. woh kuch nahi... achanak tum chali gayi... without a leave application..." Rao said...

"Sorry sir... agli baar aisa nahi hoga... woh ghar main pressing issues aa gaye..." Vaibhavi answered...

"Ok beta... no problem.. I understand.. bye.." he cut the call...

Vaibhavi breathed in a sigh of relief and saw her mother standing in front of her... crossing her arms in front of her...

"Madam... aap kuch explain karengi.. aur yeh kya haalat hai tumhari... yeh kapde yeh baal... aur aayi kaise tu?" her mother fretted over her...

Vaibhavi gave a small winning smile...

"Lambi kahani hai maa..." Vaibhavi smirked...

Her mother sighed in defeat...

Veer rubbed his eyes and got up... his right hand seemed to be throbbing with pain... he frowned... a round mark was engraved on his palm.. and down he saw a broken bangle... certainly Vaibhavi's... but no sign of her "Par yeh ladki hai kidhar?" he grumbled...

But he seemed to be in total different place...

"WT*... main hoon kidhar!" Veer thought... and then Vaibhavi came in front of him...

"Welcome to hell..." she grinned to a shocked Veer...

- "Veer... tumhara problem hai ki tum bhokte zyaada ho par kaam karte ho..." Vaibhavi smirked and was about to leave when she feels a tight tug on her dainty arm... his lips brushing over her ears... sending up shooting sensations up their spines...

"Smartness is cool Miss Vaibhavi.. par agar woh off limit ho jaye... then it won't be good for you..." he growled...
