Chapter 5
Nisha and Kabir came out of the academy after asking Saurav to drop Nisha's scotty home as the were going in Kabir's car. Kabir like a good gentleman opened the passenger side door for Nisha as she sat in there with Adhyaa in her lap.
He then seated himself in the driver's seat and he started driving the car
"Princess, camp kaisa tha?" Nisha asked as she placed those cute little fringes from her forehead behind her ears.
"Acha" Adhyaa replied excitedly
"Thoda ki bohut acha?" Nisha asked again
"Bohhhuuuttt acha" Adhyaa replied in an animated way by opening her hands and trying to show how much fun she had, Nisha and Kabir both giggled at her excitement and Nisha couldn't stop herself from planting a kiss on her chubby cheek.
"Mujhe bhi chahiye kissee" Kabir pouted and looked at Nisha cutely, she signalled him to come near and placed a kiss on his cheek too
"Princess, wahan aapne konse konse animals dekhe?" Kabir asked Adhyaa because he could sense her excitement about telling her parents about her very first camp!!
"Deer... lion... klo.. klo.. "
"Crocodile?!" Nisha completed as Adhyaa was finding it difficult to pronounce it and Adhyaa nodded her head positively
"Ol (Aur) Dadda ko dekha.." She exclaimed excitedly and clapped her tiny hands...
"Dadda ko? Kabir tu gaya tha isske camp?" Nisha asked Kabir to which he replied negatively nodding his head
"Kal raat hi toh wapas aaya hun tere saath" Kabir replied
"Phir Princess ne tujhe kaise dekha?" she asked again and both looked at Adhyaa who was just staring at her parents simultaneously
"Princess aapne Dadda ko dekha tha?" Nisha asked again to confirm and Adhyaa nodded her head vigorously
"Kahan pe?" Kabir asked
"Cage main..." Adhyaa replied innocently
"Cage main?" they both asked together
"Aur Dadda cage main kar kya rahe the?" Kabir asked again, he wanted to know what his daughter had imagined about him
"Banana kha rahe the.." Adhyaa answered and giggled
"Huh?!" Kabir was confused
"Adhyaa, sach sach batao, kise dekha tha aapne?" Nisha asked her in a serious tone but she somewhere knew what her daughter was trying to say
"Maine monkey ko dekha tha Mamma" Adhyaa gave them a proper reply this time and Nisha couldn't stop herself from bursting into fits of laugher
"Toh Dadda ko kahan dekha?" Kabir exclaimed he wanted to know why she had said that she saw him
"Mamma aapko Bandar bolti hai ... Ol (aur) Bandar is Monkey..." she took a pause to gulp the saliva and continued "Isse (Issliye) Dadda ko dekha..."
Hearing her explanation Nisha started laughing more loudly and even Adhyaa joined her though the little baby had no idea why her mother was laughing and Kabir was speechless. He stopped the car and parked it in a corner and folded his hands across his chest looking at his cuties laugh. Seeing his expressions Nisha started to laugh more
"Has le, dekh tu kya kya seekha rahi hai humari beti ko, huh" he scowled
Nisha tried controlling her laughter and spoke "Kabir, ussne toh sach hi kaha..."
She again started laughing and Kabir knew that they won't stop so he raised his hands in air signalling that he gave up and continued driving.
After a while of laughing Nisha continued asking Adhyaa about her trip and Adhyaa kept replying excitedly
"Mamma, Alyaan (Aryaan) chocis (chocolates) laya tha... pal (par) maine nahi khai.." Adhyaa said happily as she was proud that she didn't have those chocolates
"Good girl Adhyaa, chocis se teeth kharab hojate hai" Kabir said and patted her cheek and she gave him a bright smile
"Waise yeh Alyaan... Aryaan hai kon?" Kabir asked curiously as he had no idea about who Aryaan was
"Vo tujhe yaad hai Mr. Shah ke yahan naye kirayedaar aane wale the? Aryaan unka hi beta hai, Adhyaa ke saath hi hai usske class main abhi ek week phele hi ussne school join kiya hai" Nisha replied casually but Kabir being a father was not that convinced about a GUY being his daughter's friend.
"Chalo kuch khate hai" he exclaimed as he parked the car right outside their favourite restaurant, they took their seats and gave their regular order of a sandwich and cold coffee along with a simple bread butter jam with hot chocolate for Adhyaa
"Waise yeh Aryaan hai kaisa?" Kabir asked as he wanted to get all the information about Aryaan
"Cutee" Adhyaa replied which made him chock his bite of sandwich
"Kya kaha issne?" he exclaimed in an ultimate shock
"Kabir, vo bacha hai cute hi hoga na" Nisha said casually as she fed Adhyaa
"Mujhe milna padega iss ladke se" he muttered under his breath and Nisha giggled seeing him
"Nisha" came a voice that made Nisha turn around, a lady of somewhat elder came to Nisha
"Hi Priya" Nisha said "Kabir, yeh Priya hai Aryaan ki Mamma" she introduced the two
"Alyaan?" Adhyaa inquired cutely about her friend which again made Kabir mad
"Vo raha, aapni Maasi ke saath" Priya pointed out at Aryaan who entered with his Maasi and came running to Adhyaa
"Hi Aryaan" Kabir faked a smile and greeted Aryaan but he got a great response from Aryaan who didn't even bother to look at him, Nisha giggled at his expressions
"Isski to main..." Kabir cursed Aryaan under his breath and continued having his sandwich
After a while of chatting Priya took a leave and Nisha and Kabir too left paying the bill. They were in the car and Kabir was full angry
"Kabir, kya hua?" Nisha asked as she patted Adhyaa to sleep for a while till they reached home and she knew that she must be tired too.
"Mujhe vo Aryaan pasand nahi... dekha nahi kaise behave kar raha tha mere saath" Kabir frowned and replied
"Kabir, vo bacha hai tu bhi kya uski baat ka bura maan raha hai?" Nisha exclaimed at his childishness
"Meri beti uss bacche ko cute bol rahi thi Nisha, Adhyaa is not going to be friends with that guy" he replied in a stern voice
"Kabir tu pagal hogaya hai" Nisha chuckled at him
"Haan hun, main nahi chahta ki meri beti kisi bhi ladke ke saath friendship kare.." he said in an adamant voice
"Agar yeh baat mere Papa ne kahi hoti toh aaj hum yeh baat nahi kar rahe hote Kabir" Nisha replied in a stern voice
Kabir knew that he was doing over but he still acted to be firm on his decision and soon they were at home.
"Adhyaa" Jwala exclaimed as she saw them entre the room and ran to them, hearing her Adhyaa woke up a little scared but Nisha patted her back and calmed her down, Jwala muttered a sorry and then took Adhyaa in her arms
"Maacchhii" Adhyaa exclaimed cutely and hugged Jwala with her small hands
"Nishu bro, main isse khenle ke liye leke ja rahi hun ok!" Jwala said and within minutes she disappeared from there. Nisha also took Kabir to his room and made him sit on the bed
"Kabir, kya hua hai tujhe?" Nisha asked him as she knew that something is wrong with him
"Main nahi chahata ki Princess ko kuch ho.." he replied looking down as he couldn't meet eyes with Nisha
"Usse kya hoga Kabir, hum hai na use har mushkil se bachane ke liye" Nisha replied as she made him look in her eyes
"Par phir bhi.." Kabir was at loss of words to express his feelings
"Tu Aryaan ko leke pareshaan hai?" Nisha asked and he nodded his head slightly
"Tu uski tension mat le, maine sab pata kiya hai usske baad hi Adhyaa ko use friendship karne di hai" Nisha replied and this gave some relief to Kabir but a father can never be completely tension free about his daughter no matter what happens and same was with Kabir, Nisha understood this too and just placed her head on his shoulder!
"I love you Nisha" Kabir said as he knew that it was the right time to confess his feelings, Nisha smiled and replied "Janti hun, aur main bhi iss MONKEY se bohut pyaar karti hun"
Nisha said and giggled as they remembered Adhyaa's comment
"Nisha, meri beti ko mere bare main ulta seedha mat bata samjhi" Kabir warned her but she was in a mischievous mood
"Main toh sirf sach hi kehti hun Kabir, abh tu Bandar hai toh hai hi na" Nisha said and started laughing she got up and started running with Kabir chasing her, the entire room was echoing with their laughter and finally both laid on the bed laughing clutching their stomach.
