Chapter 11

The next day, Sukku announced that he was giving them all a treat to celebrate his win. Happily, all dressed up and went to theater, followed by a restaurant and then mall and finally, to a restaurant on the outskirts of the city, where Sukku had arranged a dinner for them. It was late night when they decided to leave for home. Sukku, Dolly, Sumeet, Kirti and Saurav were in one car, while Umesh and Aman in another as they wanted some privacy. Nisha and Kabir were in one car. All left the restaurant, while Nisha and Kabir went to the parking lot to see that the tires of their car was punctured.

Nisha- (shocked, confused) Kabir, ab hum kya kare?

Kabir- Nisha, it's quite late now... Ek kaam karte hai lets walk for some time, koi taxi yaa auto milega...

Nisha nodded and they started walking. Nisha informed Umesh and Sukku. Sukku told the others about NiBir. Dolly, Kirti and Saurav smirked as their plan was working.

Nisha- (tired) Yaar, aur kitni door chalna padega...

Kabir- (trying to boost her) Kya hua lady Bheem? Energy down huh?

Nisha- (angrily) Can you stop calling me that?

Kabir- (cheekily) no...

She was about to slap him, but it started raining and thundering...

Kabir- Arey yaar, bmb?

Nisha-(confused) Kya?

Kabir- Bin Mausam Barsaat ... Ab?

Nisha shrugged her shoulders, but she didn't mind the rains. Rain was her favorite. She smiled as rain drops fell on her. She didn't know what came over her, but she started twirling and trying to catch the rain drops. Rains were soothing, they healed pain...

Kabir stared at Nisha as she was getting wet. He was standing below a tree and was lost in Nisha... her innocence made him awestricken. He smiled as she smiled when she failed to catch a rain drop.

Nisha- Kabir, chalo naa, Baarish mein bheegte hai...

Kabir- You gone nuts... Kal bimaar pad jaaogi, toh pata chalega...

Nisha shook her head, went to him and pulled him. He too was getting wet. She was busy enjoying the rain and he was enjoying her smile. Suddenly she slipped and was about to fall, But Kabir caught her by her waist, cradling her fall and holding her close to his chest in his arms...

Nisha stared at him with her eyes open wide. Kabir looked in her brown orbs and felt himself drowning in their depths.

Both were lost in each other's eyes, unaware of their surroundings. The rain drops added more beauty to the unsaid words and feelings that their eyes tried to hide, but failed

It started thundering and Nisha flinched which made them aware of their situation and stood properly. Both were thoroughly wet, and were enjoying each other's company. But an unknown feeling enveloped Nisha so much, that she hugged him. Kabir caressed her hair and both smiled feeling each other so close.

Ek din kabhi jo khud ko pukaare

They were so lost in each other that they didn't realise when Viraj's car stopped behind them. Viraj saw them hugging and horned angrily. NiBir broke the hug.

Viraj- (trying to calm himself) Tum dono, itni raat ko... akele, aise road par?

Kabir- Woh, we all had gone to a restaurant on the outskirts, but our car's tires got punctured, so we were searching for a lift.

Viraj- I'll drop you guys...

Kabir- no... (he sneezed)

Nisha- (looking at Kabir scared that he may fall sick because of the rain) Okay...

Nisha sat on the back seat, while Kabir took the front one. Viraj adjusted the rear view mirror in such a way that he could see Nisha's face. Kabir didn't fail to notice this, so re-adjusted the mirror. Viraj angrily changed the gear and started driving.

*after 1 hour*

They reached Gangwal Mansion. NiBir thanked Viraj and walked in the house. Both went to sleep, but they couldn't forget the memories of the evening.
