Chapter 9

"Ho kya jaata hai mujhe? Nisha ke liye itna possessive kyun ho gaya hoon main? Kirti and Dolly bhi toh meri bffs hai, par I don't care for them, the way I care for Nisha. What the hell is wrong with me" He said to himself as he watched Nisha explain Sports Secretary something.

His eyes followed her, as she ordered the members to do their work, explaining things to the committee, talking to their Sports teacher. Her attitude, calmness, respect for others amazed him always. She had so many faces!

He continued playing Temple Run and was about to break his own record when he felt someone sit next to him. Without looking up and irratated he said, "Kya Nisha, abhi aana tha tujhe?"

Nisha- (surprised that even without looking up he guessed) Tujhe kaise pata, main hoon?

Kabir- Teri jaisi bhootni hi aise bethegi.

Nisha- (angrily) Main bhootni?

Kabir- At present lag rahi hai. Ek minute. (he removed a pack of chips from his bag and bottle of water and gave it to her) Yeh le, you'll feel better.

She started eating and both shared the pack of chips.

Nisha- Tu ghar jaa, I'll come.

Kabir- Woh ladke yaad hai?

Nisha-(adamant) I can take care of myself.

Kabir- Pata hai, huh.

Nisha smiled at his behaviour and went to do her work.

About 1 hour later, all the members of the sport committee and their teacher left. Kaira came to speak to Nisha.

Kaira- Hi Nisha.

Nisha- (without looking up from the papers she was reading) Hi.

Kaira- So, how's life?

Nisha- (looking up) We both know, you are not interested in my life, so spill the beans, kya hua?

Kaira- Ummm... nothing much. Par pata hai, I thought you were dumb, but no, you are over smart.

Nisha- (confused) Excuse me?

Kaira- Haan, Kabir ke saath close hokar Viraj ko jealous karna, Nice idea.

Nisha- (irritated) Listen, it's nothing like that. Me and Kabir are REAL friends, and we don't show our concern for each other to make SOMEONE jealous.

Kaira- I don't care, but just remember one thing, Viraj is mine, only mine.

Nisha- (nonchalantly) Good for you.

She walked away, but couldn't digest the way Kaira said that Viraj was her. Kabir had heard the entire conversations and went to Kaira.

Kabir- (angrily) How dare you?

Kaira- Excuse me?

Kabir- Tumhari himmat kaise hui, Nisha se aise baat karne ki?

Kaira- Maine sirf usse sacch bola, aur sacch humesha kadwa hota hai.

Kabir-(angrily) Shut up.

Someone from behind- Don't you dare talk to talk to Kaira like that.

Both turned and saw Viraj standing with his eyes spitting fire.

Kaira-(as if innocent) Dekho Viraj, how he is behaving with me.

Viraj didn't think anything but just remembered NiBir's closeness and punched Kabir. Kabir fell on the ground and his forehead hit a stone, but he stood up and punched him in his stomach. Nisha who was searching for Kabir, found him fighting with Viraj.

Nisha- (standing between the 2 and facing Kabir) Kabir, chal yaahan se.

Kabir- (looking in Kaira's eyes angrily) Nahi Nisha, isne tumse aise baat nahi karni chahiye thi.

Nisha- Kabir, shut the hell up and follow me.

He didn't even flinch so she pulled him. She noticed wound on his forehead and took him to the medical room.

*Medical room*

Nisha- (angrily) Khoon kuch jyaada hi garam nahi hai tumhara?

Kabir- (adamant) Oh shut up, agar tu nahi aati toh main usse maar deta, zinda.

He noticed that Nisha was applying antiseptic on cotton and got scared.

Kabir- Nishu?

Nisha- (knew that if Kabir wanted something, he would call her Nishu) Haan Kabir?

Kabir- antiseptic lagana jaroori hai?

Nisha- Of course. (realizing) Oh, baby is scared huh?

Kabir- (acting brave) Aisa kuch nahi hai. Chalo lagao and finish it off.

Kabir flinched as the antiseptic touched his would. Nisha blew air on the wound and softly applied antiseptic, medicine and the bandage, but Kabir was clueless, all he knew was that Nisha was standing infront of him and he was lost in her.

Nisha- Chalo, ho gaya.

Kabir- (out of trance) Ho gaya, lets go.
