Shwetha, I LOVED yesterday's episode! The whole financial crisis was so well handed. It was such a refreshing break from the Mr. Right drama. I think it becomes really difficult to stay together in a family where there is a difference in the income level of the three brothers. I found Umesh's dad to be insensitive while deciding the money for the shagun. I somehow feel he is the most detached among the brothers, Rupan's husband and Ramesh still has that brotherly bond.
Coming to your topic, it becomes very difficult to maintain your status in such a setup. It's human nature for people having a bigger edge over you to act condescending which Rupan does time and again.Sadly, there's no answer to this, atleast for me. Because I've seen that condescending people won't tell anything directly, it's always an indirect taunt. And when you try confronting, the reply you get is 'I never meant to disrespect you. It's your fault that you took it in that sense.'
Nisha not understanding what were those gold coins for is justified, because her dad has never made the effort to do something that might give her the feeling that 'yes,my dad cares about our future.'
I'm trying to turn a blind eye to the Mr.right thing and focus on the family drama. The Mr.right thing is being included to satisfy the teenagers, plus it's not that bad too, but it would be superb if one episode would just revolve around the small internal conflicts regarding money in the family.Maybe finally Ramesh can speak and make sure that they stop taunting him and his family.
As I said before..I am finding the family moments more warming than the cousins scenes. Even the conversation between the DILs and Dolly was really nice. The happiness and fun and leg pulling was nicely done. I did fear at a point if the elder bhabis won't like Lakshmi pulling their legs but they took it sportingly too. That showed they aren't mean or evil. It's just human tendency.
Coming to Nisha and Ramesh. I didn't feel Nisha telling Ramesh that he is saving money for drinking justified. Is that the image she has on her father? Ramesh, from what we have seen, seems to be a fun and supportive father. He has done his best to give all facilities to his kids. I don't feel his drinking has ever caused problems for his kids. So that allegation wasn't necessary from her. Yes. Lakshmi is the one who has to suffer at the end. But I don't think Ramesh speaking out is going to help either.
Lakshmi. She is a strong lady at heart, but I feel she is very innocent too. She cannot handle situations with strength.
I want Dadaji's point of view on Ramesh and Lakshmi. He definitely seems to think Ramesh has committed an unforgivable blunder.
