How difficult is it to keep your family happy and keep smiling even during financial crisis?

Ramesh and Lakshmi, both of them always have a smile on their face, probably to keep their children happy. Nisha has reached a stage where she understands the crisis and misunderstands her parents' silence. Other two are still not serious about it.

Ramesh works for his father's business. Either he doesn't work probably or due to some reasons get into some problems because of which he gets lesser monthly payment than his brothers. Lakshmi too works to support Ramesh. As mentioned in today's episode, they have to take care of Bunty's school fees, Sukku's college fees, his bike, Nisha's scooter, taking care of Lakshmi's family also..Above that they are living among people who are at a higher level to them when it comes to finances.

How difficult is it to maintain your self esteem knowing their status is lower than others?

I think they ought to reveal more on how ramesh works. Because if it's him that can't do his job properly then he needs to be more responsible and help is wife out. If the reason is because he can't put his heart into the family business then all i have to say is that sometimes you have to do things you don't believe in. Again, i don't know if it's his fault but this is just my thought, if it is.

They both are having to bottle their emotions up and keep trying. It really sucks.

Eventually, the kids will have to realise and help their parents out.

My heart goes out to Lakshmi.. she has to maintain a balancing act in the whole family, prevent Nisha from lashing out and so much more. also, she has to provide for her mother as well... It takes a lot of courage to deal with such a situation...
