You can find such people in real life. My family has one or two such personalities. 😆 What do you think is the best way to deal with them? If you say anything against them, the emotional drama and sarcastic taunts will start, just as Sweety did with Pinky. They are not ready to listen to reason. The alternative is ignoring them, but since they are family, ignoring them doesn't make me happy too. So, what can one do? Just give in and behave as if they are always right?

Call Nanu😆 Just kidding.

I think they are one type of character whom people around will get used to when they live with them. Kids know about Sweety and they adjust...same with Lucky, Pinky and the rest. They won't make it an issue as it is daily routine for them.

When we meet people like Sweety suddenly...we will find it odd and strange. We may feel it is very difficult to live with people like them.

As we say..every person has their strengths and weakness...Sweety has her strengths too which her family decides to see and ignore the rest. But yes, when the weakness gets out of control...they call the person who can explain it to them

Yes, people get used to it, but they annoyance is there. And sometimes, if your mood is already irritated due to some other matter, one can answer them crudely and they get upset. Is it possible that we do more bad than good by giving them a false sense that they are always right? Maybe us hinting that they are wrong, in a nice way, can help them change?

@FT

Thats where balance comes in. Even though Sweety(and people like her) get hyper and irritates others..if someone speaks in raised voice or show their anger...they will stop immediately. It will shock them that someone is powerful than them in that situation.

I will not deny...there will be problems when people like her are there in family. Only when the family understands her...the family can live peacefully.

And change...very difficult. It is their nature. U cannot change it permanently...slight changes can be made..only through experience or through people to whom that person will hear...but those people will never change

I too have people like Sweety in my family too..😆

Yes, the thing is that they start emotional atyachaar when someone does to them what they do to others. 😆 Sentimental dialogues start and then again you become the culprit and have to apologize. 😆

Yes, people don't usually change. What I meant was that, is lying that they are all fine and okay just to keep things peaceful harmful in the long run? Maybe they don't even realize how dominating they are? Maybe if we can make them aware of it, although things will get messy for that time, maybe they will realize their mistakes? Unless someone tells them, how will they know they are wrong?

It is very critical...If u tell them..they will do emotional athyachar..if u dont..they will never know...😆

Sorry FT..i dont have an answer...I guess...You tell them..hear the emotional athyachar and apologise...if they are wise enough..they will realise it on their own when they cool down

I guess nobody has the answer. 😆 I myself tried everything. 😆

Now, when it gets irritating, I just let them be. I try to distance myself. Although it pains because they are family. But the bottom line is that I don't wanna harm them because I love them, but I also can't just let them walk over me as if I am nothing.

No need to be sorry, this problem has been there since the dawn of man and nobody has found a solution yet. 😆

There is seriously no solution. As I said one of my aunt is like that. My mom keeps saying Sweety is exactly like that. And my uncle is just like Lucky😆 Just hears her out...😆 Actually it helps when one keeps quiet as kids does not see their parents fighting...which is even more critical. Only difference is my uncle does not speak anything at all...😆 no open talks..or even trying to make his wife understand...

Distancing helps at times..leaving that person alone is the best option..
