Shilpa, I'll tell you why we are all so mad with this show now. At least, why I am so mad with the show.

When the show started it was supposed to be about a young couple of today's generation who belong to somewhat orthodox traditional families, who don't have the freedom like their peers, yet are juggling two environments, one at home and the other outside, specifically college, quite well. They meet and against all odds fall in love and then learn how to deal with their families with the help of "Nayi Soch, Nayye Sawaal & Nayi Dhadkan". Overcome all the barriers in the way of their LOVE STORY and finally bring about change and succeed.

So you see, it was SUPPOSED to be primarily a LOVE STORY. But what we got in the process of this "supposed" love story was ONLY more & more heart break. First with Shagun track, which was taken to the very extreme, almost bringing about AnYa separation for good, then the Meeta track wherein she was shown as the MOST nonsensical mother to be seen, so NOT realistic and "Nayi Soch" & then the final nail in the coffin, the Kanpur track, need I say more about that.

The love story that we all got hooked on to in the first place has taken a complete backseat. It is there somewhere in the recesses, have to look really hard for it these days, but what you'll find aplenty is the NEGATIVITY everywhere.

Really?? Is this why we signed up for this show to see so much negativity??? Don't we have enough stress in real life to deal with?? We wouldn't be so mad, if the love story had been in the forefront and everything else happening in the back ground. I too want to see these social issues to be dealt with quite effectively, not against them at all, was actually loving all the side tracks they were showing at one point, but they all seemed to have disappeared, and the only thing the CVs just love to show is the IMPENDING AnYa separation. Starting from the post picnic track till today. Let me tell you, I am just tired of this threat dangling on my head all the time, can't stand it anymore.

Would have loved it had they kept showing the love between AnYa growing despite all odds and how they together tackle all the hurdles they faced or will be facing, something like that phone convo they showed yesterday. But because they have been starving us of the love story, mere crumbs in the form of phone conversations isn't cutting it anymore, at least, not for me.

Very sorry for my rant Shilpa, it is not at all directed at you but towards the sadistic CVs. Just saying why we are all cribbing. They started off, although, in a super rush on a great love story, and now that has been put on the back burner and everything else is being tackled. Well good luck to them, not getting any mazaa these days. And that's why we're all half-heartedly watching the show and might soon quit for good.

P.S. Again, my thoughts only, very sorry if I hurt other's feelings.

Agree with Geeta - Geeta - you have done a fabulous job expressing our views... and yes theres a whole bunch of us here... who did not sign up for a FAMILY drama!!!
Many more such nonsensical and illogical ideas also occurred... so we have put up with quite a bit!

Thanks again Tanu...you've done your best for a bland episode...you all know I've been off the show for a lil while - I did watch the last three episodes back to back and these are my views:

1. The families meeting in Kanpur and Anya's pol khol in front of both families should've raked in trps (added to it was the fact that it was a shaadi - traditional trp puller) - but it did not go down well, why?The whole Kanpur saga was sadistic (come on, at least we could've had some fun scenes what with it being a shaadi and all- this must've been the first shaadi on a tv show not to have capitalised on the usual fun elements...), Deepu-Meeta's out-of-character behaviour and the whole way things came out and became such an ugly scene to digest ...

2. There are so many tracks open in this show (Chacha's story, Nimi's, Renu's, taiji dowry atyachaar + atyachaar on dadi, mohan-Rama, etc etc)...why can't cvs develop some of these satisfactorily? Or are they all set up for Navya to handle post marriage? This leads me to my next point:

3. What's the nayi soch in such an all-sacrificing character like navya? We have so many other shows if we want to see such a heroine...when was the last time she laughed wholeheartedly? Why not a more pragmatic portrayal of a 19-year old? When does she have fun? Why does she never throw a tantrum?

4. Why is Anant's family so unreal? Right from creepy baba to angry papa to caustic buadadi why isn't anyone normal? If cvs want to show such characters at least give us a background for this...

5. By all means show us family scenes, but can't they blend in well with Anya's story?

6. I understand Deepu's questions and concern, but instead of making us excited, why have the last few days' episodes have evoked a "whatever!" reaction? Why is there no spark? Is it this break-neck speed to get Anya married? I can't put a finger on it...

@Esha - I personally can't see the point in writing another set of suggestions to cvs - because the points we'll raise won't be that different from what we mentioned last time...and anyway, shouldn't they be doing some thinking too?!!

Thanks Usha, loved your post as well. 🤗
We both were trying to say pretty much the same thing but you brought up a few things I wanted to add but since it had become so long, skipped over them.

But @ Bold on # 3 I had the same questions too. What is the Nayi soch in making Navya such a devi??? Isn't that one of the oldest ways to depict a heroine??

# 4. Exactly, why is Anant's family being depicted in such an extreme way?? Maybe there are people like that in small towns & villages in India, but not in a family living in a modern city like Mumbai for years?? Is that realistic??? I want to see their stories too...

And # 5 is what I actually wrote about myself.

So, totally concur with Usha.

I so agree with all of you.I am in no mood to send any suggestions to CVs, when I know they are going to fall on deaf ears.😕
I am , too, fed up this sword dangling over my head in the form of AnYa's separation..
At this rate, we are going to see the final pack up pretty soon.
There must be something wrong, even the "supposedly" happy track is not making us happy at all..

We now know that, they are not planning to get AnYa married, not even engaged..so couldn't they have stretched the college romance a bit more. What was the rush to get families involved.
AnYa don't look like a couple who are ready to get engaged, forget marriage.
Aur..whatever chemistry they had...is already down in dumps...
Why couldn't the CVs give some time for their chemistry to be evolved???
Ah...so many questions, but no answers..
