The show is suppose to be about young generation of India but all the elders in the show are represented as negative characters. Almost all of the Anant;s family is full of negative characters (Dadi, his dad, somewhat grandfather) and even Navya's family too (her dadi, dad to sometime). Even after Navya gets married to Ananat I don't think she will be strong character, she will live under dadi. Just saying that Navya should have been stronger as the show represent young generation and many of the todays girls are strong.

well i don't really think they are negative characters...i would admit that i don't really like anant's bhaabi and dadi myself..but i think this is wat the show really is about..its about the gap between generations..its how youth now a days struggles between family and frnds..
if the kids are making sure that they keep their parents and families happy by following their traditions then the families also have to make sure that they try to be frnds with their young kids, understand them and also listen to their opinions...
i think all these characters have been shown shady because later we would get to see how anant and navya will change their way of thinking...m not saying change or break their traditions..but AnYa will surely have to make them realise what they are doing wrong...

i would not say they are negative characters but they represent a family with a certain set of believes and idealogies are a little OTT but thats all for a reason. They want to create a background.I am sure once that is set they will focus on Navya and Anant.Dont forget this is a show on StarPlus where family plays the most important role. And isnt this how all great love stories are made? Against all odds?Lets see how different this one turns out

The problem is more with how garishly OTT the characters in Anant's family are...drama and all is fine but seriously weirdos like the bhabhi, the bua-dadi and all...definitely OTT and not realistic characters...that's where the negativity comes in and spoils the otherwise nice vibe of this show...Family is an important aspect of the show, no doubt but Navya's family is shown in a far more realistic manner without OTT-ness...it seems Anant's family has only been added to this mix to show the typical SP saas-bahu drama complete with evil bahu/saas and the rest of the clown family...It is very hard to believe that Anant could be born from such weirdos...hardly any sane/normal ppl in his family...

What remains to be seen is how long the show manages to stick with the fresh youthful vibe that is basically it's USP at this point...if it steers towards marriage for Anant-Navya soon then this is deffo going to be a nightmarish saas-bahu drama with Navya getting tortured by Anant's creepy family and this show will be done for.

they are not negatives, basically they are old fashioned peoples..they cant go with time.. anant & navyais respects their families a lot. but go with tym is also necessary.anaya will try to change this thinking of old generation that they follow the tradition but modern ideas are also important...phelay ka zamana kuch aur tha aur ab kuch aur hai..

Anant's family is definitely full of creeps in the form of 3 "B's"--- Babaji (his grand father), Bua dadi and Bhabhi. Those are what one would call "stereotypical" indian telly show characters. That bhabhi represents the stereotypical "back stabbing" sort of vamp-ish character.

On the other hand, navya's family is shown to be quite normal. yeah the dadi gets on the nerves often but she is still funny whereas Anant's family is neither funny nor interesting.

Navya's interactions with her family is shown to be what the show meant to show-- the whole thing about balancing the modern with traditional values stuff. But Anant's interactions with his family or the interactions of other people within the family is definitely not representative of the tagline. Characters such as that Bhabhi and now her sister bring in the unwanted OTTness in the show and make it monotonous, stereotypical and predictable.

The show would have and was doing just fine without the entry of this "shagun" character. what is the point of showing such kitchen politics of that creepy bhabhi?
Sonia part was something different, something that went along with the "youth" feel of the show whereas this SAGUN angle sounds cliched and repetitive. Where does the "youth" factor come in with that? Where does the "uniqueness" come in with this stereotypical, bazillion times used track of a member of the family plotting against her own family members?

Where is the show headed?

Totally agree, Amy...NAVYA'S family is the one that is in keeping with the show's theme of how you balance a modern thinking along with the traditional values of your family...Anant's family are just CREEPSTERS🤢🤢🤢...if ppl REALLY have families like this, I sympathize...I would never wish this upon anyone.
