Why so many negative characters? - Page 2

Exactly Anu! What are they trying to show with Anant's side of family ? From the promo and the description of anant's character, it sounded as if they too would be representing normal sort of family who believes in traditions. Navya's is a nuclear family whereas Anant's is a joint family.

but this whole issue of bhabhi and her plotting and contriving tactics doesn't fit right with the original essence of the show at all.😳

I agree with most of you...Anant's family is not normal. I dont mind them being traditional but they arent simple traditional joint family ..they look weird. I cant single out even one character (ofcourse except Anant) which can be termed as normal. Nimisha to certain extent yes. Also till now, we havnt got a hang of lot of characters in anant's family. Hope CVs read these feedbacks and make some changes in the character sketch of Anant's family members. And YES Please wrap up this shagun character as soon as possible. Wont mind another Sonia in the show but this shagun is a strict NO NO.

Exactly Amy...the promos just gave a sense of Anant's family being more traditional and a conservative joint family...but what they are showing in the actual show is all disgusting saas-bahu politics with characters like the evil bhabhi with her evil OTT bg music and then the rest of the creepsters like the bua-daadi or the dadaji...from what angle is this a NORMAL joint family?😕

Totally agree...there is a difference b/w showing a family with traditional values and then showing a family with scheming vampish characters like the bhabhi, bua-daadi or whatever...the creatives really need to look into what they are showing with Anant's family cuz at this point toh this all seems like it's headed into a typical saas-bahu soap direction...with Anant's evil bhabhi constantly scheming and manipulating in an OTT manner and making plans to torture Navya soon enough...Is this show going to turn into another YRKKH where that Akshara is kept under the thumb of her maha-conservative in-laws?? Cuz that would be really LAME.

Navya's dadi is shown to be traditional but at the same time she's also shown to be a normal member of the family. it's just that her beliefs are not something Navya, her parent's or you and i would believe in. she's still tolerable unlike Anant's hypocritical grand dad and bua dadi.

and yeah there's a difference in being "traditional" and being outright OTT. Anant's family represents the latter part. If they remove the evil, scheming bhabhi, even that lil change would make a BIG difference and reduce a major part of the OTTness.

hmmm... i guess so... but i would say that navya's dad is not negative, hes just being a dad but he may be over protective at times although it's a very natural personality a father has, i mean i know my dad is kinda over protective and strict sometimes so i dont think that he is a negative character at all but more realistic, dadi is a little annoying at times but i think its just because of her orthodox thinking which many elders still so have but she never goes over board,

The main trouble for the CTs at this stage is the way they have protrayed Anant's family. If they are not careful, the show will turn into a typical saas-bahu drama when Anya get married.
