LOL its not making sense at all. When we know online and international fans aren't even allowed to vote then why this topic is even here in the first place? 99% Indian audiences are trp aunties who only love to see rona dhona and kitchen politics so i highly doubt poor drama-less couple is gonna survive through all this 😆
Wishing to see some criticizing posts that actually make sense.

What is wrong with this topic

I was just making a point

I was just saying how perceived popularity means nothing

And why assume trp aunties love only drama

If they love the performance they might vote

Which hasn't happened

And as for perception vs reality
Perception includes Indian/NRI/foreign fans
Reality considered here excludes everyone except INDIAN fans which is the smallest fragment

So that is no fair comparison of perception vs reality when most of that reality is barred from participating

Now

Ppl watch here on tv in India

Now if performances are good

Ppl will like Jodis

So I don't think what you are saying is right

You can't label ppl watching on tv as not real since they are not supporting your favourite

i repeat your post has got no point. When you know online fans are not even considered for trp or even voting phir trp ko pakar k kyun rotay rehtay ho bhae.If only they had considered international fans they wouldn't have been in bottm.simple.

The facts you like to consider are every selective.Aik traf you like to consider the fact that the aunties might vote when like but on the other side you dont like to consider the fact that in India shitty rona dhona dramas have been topping trp charts since for ever.So it automatically proves the point that what audiences love.

The funniest and most annoying fact is you don't consider online people real even in this age of technology? 😆 Gimme a damn break!

When did I say that online ppl are not real ppl

I just said it can't be used to judge popularity

I even gave example

So why make selective points that suit your narrative while trying to call my points senseless

Trolls look fun only if they are being smart. Well i didn't add that "not real" myself .Its quite understood from your own post

Here

Quoting you,It means real viewers who watch on tv did not appreciate them much.

What are we then?Chairs or tables or robots? I am real online viewer and i know a hell lots of real online viewers too.
As i am outside of Indian let me tell you there are only a 0.1 % of Indian drama actors/actresses that people know and Sanaya is one of them at least here in Pak and yes ipk brought her that fame and later people started following her work.
IDK why people deny that she is popular. Matlab problem kya hai? 😆.

Yes. Online popularity means nothing...ratings wise. Fully agree on that.

In the real world...in a country of 1.25 billion people, with a diverse viewership and relatively less levels of Internet penetration...online popularity is not really indicative of what the layman really thinks. The average Indian would not even be knowing the real names of Monaya or Divek from their TV shows..many would be knowing their real names only after Nach i guess😛 they must be referring to divyanka as Ishima or Sanaya as that chulbuli khushi bitiya or something 😆

But don't you think your post equally applies to Divyanka with her 4 million followers on Insta...😃 and i do think that even if they don't contribute to ratings, online and international fans do add to popularity or recognition. For instance Sanaya must be popular for IPK which had a massive reach in countries like Turkey and many others and even Divyanka must have garnered a lot of recognition for YHM.

Even if not now...when Internet coverage is on the rise, more and more people will latch on to the bandwagon. This is just the beginning. A slow start...but a steady one. As more and more Indians get access to the net...and wish to articulate what they feel and get onto social networking sites...online will gain more prominence.

I do think that these stars with their capacity to gain a hold on the imagination of folks spread all over the world embody a form of soft power. For instance...i watched a lot of Turkish shows recently and was taken in by the acting prowess of some actors...it also introduced me to a hitherto unknown country and its culture..of which its actors were its cultural ambassadors, in a way.

So yes...i acknowledge that ratings wise it doesnt mean much...but i wouldn't write them off entirely as well.

I just looked back...itna lamba essay! Sorry to all😳😆

i dont understand why are taking it personally instead of giving proper rebuttal and then trying it to call senseless
