Farah turns chat show host

Talkative, talented and funny – those are just some of the ways of describing director Farah Khan. And it now looks like Farah is using all of those traits to host a chat show on Star Plus called 'Oh Farah!'.

"It is based on the lines of Oprah Winfrey and Ellen Degeneres but on a lighter note. The show will go on air early next year," says Farah who is currently one of the judges on Nach Baliye 4 with Karisma Kapoor and Arjun Rampal.
"The show is nothing like Koffee with Karan or Sajid's Superstars where stars discuss their lives and films," explains Farah.

So what topics will she cover?

"We will talk about anything and everything under the sun, steering clear of politics and religion. Common people will come on the show to discuss the topics and celebs will come only if they are related to the topic concerned. So we will not have a special show for them, their presence will be determined by the topic," says Farah who is known for her fantastic sense of humour.


On the Bollywood front, Farah has retired from choreography but still makes exceptions for her friends. "I did Desi Girl because I had promised Tarun to choreograph for his film when we working on Kuch Kuch Hota Hai," says the ace choreographer who has also choreographed a song in Billoo Barber for best buddy SRK.

Nach Baliye maybe keeping her busy but that hasn't stopped the mumma of three tiny tots all under the age of one from starting work on the script of her new film, Happy New Year.

"My husband Shirish and I have just begun writing the script of Happy New Year," is all she is ready to say right now.

Nach Baliye on Birthday roll

Week 7 of Nach Baliye 4 has been not less than a rollercoaster ride. This week 3 of the jodis celebrated their birthdays i.e. Moulli on the 15th, Anjali on the 16th and Naman on the 17th of December respectively.

Farah actually got a cake for Moulli and surprised her on the sets by walking away on their performance. Moulli at first couldn't understand as to what was happening and was about to cry and that's when Farah walked in with the cake.

Kismat Connection

As we all know that Reshmi and Amit have benn dating each other for 5 years and have been already engaged, this week one more suprise was in store for Reshmi. Amit got Reshmi parents on the sets and proposed to her in front of everyone in Bengali. Reshmi, by then completely awe struck, was completed shocked and accepted his proposal.

Abhijeet's special Marathi Act

Abhijeet and Shilpa performed a traditional marathi 'ghondhal' with live mashaals and a lezim. The performance was dedicated to the Marathi community and took Abhijeet and Shilpa back to their roots. On seeing the dance, Karisma was reminded of her childhood when she had dressed and danced in the same way. On hearing this, Arjun encouraged her to go up on stage and dance and Karisma performed with the lezim making it a truly memorable moment!

Aamir and Sanjeeda missing!

This week the theme of Nach Baliye was celebration but there wasn't much to celebrate about considering one of the most loved hosts, Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh, were missing from action.

Instead Aishwarya Majumdar, winner of Chhote Ustaad, and Fanaa kid Ali hosted the show for the second week running.

"Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh were supposed to resume hosting the show from this week but could not do so. Therefore this week too Aishwarya and Ali anchored the show. The did quite a good job. It seems that Aamir and Sanjeeda may not be back and the hunt for new hosts is on," says a source from the show.


On a happier note, this week was a good one for most couples other than Moulli and Mazher.

"Moulli Ganguly and Mazher Sayeed always come with something new but lack a public support and this week too they are in danger zone with Chetan Hansraj and wife Lavina," says the source.

This week it was also Moulli's birthday on December 15 and there were surprise celebrations on the set as well!
